I got the Visa discount too!! Saved $480 on CSR 11/15-11/21!! I posted earlier about getting a Visa acct today and possibly using it for the discount. All i had to do was make a new ressie on DW.com using the new account and then called Disney and they applied the discount. I talked to a great CM who checked to see if CSR had a Visa discount for our time frame and she was kind enough to hold while i made the online booking! I was so impressed at her eagerness to save me some $! I need to send a letter or email telling DW how great she was! I already called AAA and they are going to get me a refund of the original $200 dep or have disney apply it to our new ressie! The AAA travel agent was super nice but in the end she couldn't get me any discount at all. I don't think i will ever use AAA for a disney trip again. It seems like to much trouble to deal with them. Yea Disney Visa!

Could have had it starting on the 9th...go figure... I get off the cruise on the 3rd...

I was able to get: 11/21-11/28 (7 nights/8 days), 8 day hopper passes, dining plan, taxes, magical express transfers—declined insurance. This is for 2 adults, and 1 child (5) and 1 child (2). Riverside (or Carribean was same price) $2169.51 (regular price would have been $2689.33) savings = $519.82. I also priced it without DDP and that would have been $1546.72, again a savings of $519.84. I used the Disney Visa code for this, however I had a pin code as well that came in the mail (had Goofy on the front with leaves) and it would have been the same rate as with the Disney Visa code. So I am booked, now I need to check on airline and see if we are for sure going—it has been up in the air…

Is Jersey week the 2nd through the 9th? Does it get really crowded? We're in PA, so I've never gone this week before, but my kids 3-day break is a week earlier this year. I was able to get a room, but are the parks going to be jammed???

Just wanted to let you all know in case, like me, you weren't sure...

Although I did not receive any discount notifications via e-mail or snail mail, I spoke with someone at the Disney Reservation Center and she confirmed for me that so long as the initial deposit was made on the Disney card (or using Disney Rewards Dollars), as a Disney Visa cardholder I was eligible for the discount. Since I used an outside Disney travel agent, she couldn't apply the discount for me (I have to do it directly through my booking agent), but she did run a quote for me just to see what the discount would look like and it came to 20% less than the originally quoted price (approx. $600!).

Needless to say, I've left 2 voicemails and an e-mail for my travel agent (I should have gone directly thru Disney...would have made things much simpler!!!)~

You must have had a package booked. I had room only and they said they would have to cancel and rebook (and that the Poly was not available).

I am SOOOOO Happy right now!!! When I first saw the posting of the discount this morning I was at first discouraged because we check in on Thanksgiving day, and it looked like our dates would be completely blocked out. BUT-----I went ahead and called anyway just to see if there was ANYTHING we could do-----and there was!!! We couldn't apply the code to POP because there were no discounts left at any Values, but we could move our reservation over to CSR water view rooms for no change in price on our packages. I know we are still going to be paying the same price, but to me it feels like we have won the lottery!!! Yeah Pixie Dust!! So I am SOOOOO glad I went ahead and called anyway. Just think, if I wouldn't have called, I wouldn't have been able to move on up to CSR!! If there is anyone not calling because of the block out dates posted--go ahead and call and just ask them if there is ANYTHING they can do. My CM was AMAZING!! He was so polite and helpful--I told him I was sending him the BIGGEST hug over the phone! I hope everyone else gets a great deal too!

Should I apply for the Disney Visa to get a code or just wait for the general public codes to be released. I really don't want another credit card but to save money... Are the discounts similar? If so, I guess I'll just wait. Looking for codes for Nov 18-24 package with dining

I am so excited. I can not wait until this discount is offered to the general public. I have been waiting for this for so long. Now I guess I won't feel so bad if I have to pay the high airfare. This will make up for that.

I personally think it bites! We wait and wait for a discount only to find out we can't have it unless we change resorts. And, as my CM said, I'm not saving anything by upgrading. DD really wants to stay in Fantasia at ASMo, we've never stayed there. I'd have upgraded for POR, but we did CSR last year. It was ok, but not worth paying more just for a discount.

RobynG, i am not big on credit cards either but i was too big of a scaredy cat to wait for a public code to come out! I didn't save much at all last year with the public code or AAA (granted it was all of thanksgiving week that we went). Good luck!

I've called to apply the Disney Visa code to my already booked package (POP w/6 day passes & dining). In order to book with the code I'd have to go from my already booked preferred room to a standard room. Savings would be $300.00. I haven't decided yet and am really torn as we've never stayed at the POP before and I'm not sure if I'd really regret not having preferred room.

What would you do??

I've booked my package for the POP through AAA. I left her a message awhile ago to see if she can check into this for me but I'm wondering how hard will she actually work for me on this. Would I be better off calling Disney on my own? And I assume their system will show my current deal with AAA?

Is that a new room-only deal, or is this the package deal that we've all been talking about?

I'll be fascinated to see when I get my email from Disney Visa...I think the last time I got the email about 5 days after the code was released.
