November 2, 2013 - Disney Fantasy 7 night Eastern - Cruise Meet

Please forgive me if someone else has already posted this previously, but in light of the Day light savings time change I had an epiphany this morning.

Thinking about those who boarded the Fantasy yesterday, I thought it was a bummer that they would get 1 less hour to enjoy the Fantasy. Then I thought about those who will get to reap the benefit of 1 extra hour on the ship in the Fall. I thought - :scratchin Hey wait a minute - we're cruising in the Fall - could it be??? Official date for the Fall Back time change is Nov. 3 - 2 a.m . :cool1:Whoo Hoo!!! WE all get to enjoy an extra hour on the Fantasy this cruise. Yippppeee :cheer2:

We should all order Mickey Bars at 2am. Yum!

I like K's suggestion of Mickey Bars at 2 a.m.

They play princess movies 24/7. Just load up with Mickey bars and send off to their daily activities the next day. I wonder if they'd let the pool stay open so we can watch a movie on Funnel vision! Or maybe a 2am movie just for us?

I was just wondering if our cruise is too soon to do Christmas themed gifts??? Does anybody have any opinions??

Hi all! I think I posted way back when this thread started but haven't since......will be setting sail with all of you in November (I'm already annoying everyone in my office with a countdown :-D). It will be 3rd Disney cruise for myself and son (13 at sail date). On previous cruises it was just the 2 of us and while DS made tons of friends, I was always by myself! So this time we are bringing along one of his friends AND his friend's mom! Yay! I have someone to hang out with too! Looking forward to enjoying some of the adult activities this time! Looking forward to sailing with all of you!

I just put in a request to join the FB group! I'm Crissy Courtney! Nice to meet ya! :-)

Yahooooooooo!
Helllllllooooooooo fellow cruisers!!!!! My family and I will also be sailing on November 2nd Fantasy!!!! So nice to meet you all!
Is there a facebook page yet for this group? If so, please let me know how to look it up to join.
This will be my family and my 2nd Disney cruise. Both on the Fantasy.
Our first cruise will take place in May.
it will be my husband, myself and my son (4 yrs old).
We are from Toronto Ontario, Canada

The Sail date also happens to be my husband's birthday. We couldn't get a cruise that overlapped my birthday on October 21st too.

After looking through all the posts here, I found the link to the facebook page but it appears that there is only one admin, so I will have to patiently await acceptance into the group.
If anybody knows Cyrus "Dave" Overland (the administrator of the page) would you please let him know that I would love to join you all in our upcoming cruise and share in some excitement! Thanks so much.

I reached an exciting milestone today. :cool1:

Last April 24th I walked into a Weight Watchers meeting, hoping that I'd be able to lose weight. I have some physical/medical issues that would be better if I could lose weight. In the past 6 years my metabolism slowed down & made it hard/impossible to lose weight so had my doubts that WW could help.

Weighed in this morning at a WW meeting and I'm at goal  & 35 lbs lighter than I was last April!

Probably the funniest thing that happened to me during this process was when we were returning from our fabulous WDW VWL trip in December. Even though I had already lost about 25 lbs then, I was still wearing the same clothes. The day we left, I had to borrow a belt from my DH because my capris were beginning to slip off. At MCO security I was afraid that I might have to take the belt off to go through the scanner. Before getting that far I asked the 1st security employee if I'd have to take the belt off (made of fabric & plastic) he thought I should be able to go through with it on. Well, on the other side of the scanner they said somethings not quite right, I'll have to go through it again & was I wearing a belt? I said yes, but it's just plastic & fabric. They made me take it off. There I am in the scanner with my arms up (which I can't hold up very long) & trying to put my knees together in the hopes that I can keep my capris from falling off. Did manage not to lose them in front of the several hundred of my not so closest friends. Whew. :thumbsup2 OK I sit down & put my shoes on, & I see the tram coming. Instead of putting the belt back on I grab a handful of one side of my capris, & the handle of my rolling carryon in the other hand & quickly, not quite running head towards the tram. :hyper: My DH was laughing & shaking his head. :sad2: We got on the tram where I was able to snag a place to sit down & put the belt back on. Crisis averted. DH said, you know you didn't have to be in such a hurry to catch the tram because we have plenty of time before our flight. DOH!!:rolleyes1

I decided then that it was finally time to go shopping for clothes that fit me better when we got home.

I think on this cruise I won't mind having photos taken of us so much. Might even buy more pics than usual. ;) Just 7 1/2 more months to go.:hyper:

I lost 40 pounds last year and have put a few of those back on (5 or so). Am working to take it off again before the cruise. I have another 30 to go, but can't seem to get motivated. Dr. says I've reached a new "set-point" and my body needs to adjust before I head on round two. I thought she was full of it, but the trouble I've had with this go-around--she might be right.

twinmom108, that has got to be the most INSPIRING and Comical story I have EVER heard! Thank you so much for sharing!!! And congratulations on your loss.

Congrats! I was down 18 pounds on weight watchers from the new year. I'm back from Disney world today and had a very difficult time with points down there, even with all the walking the meal plan and those desserts got the best of me. Came home 3 pounds heavier from a 10 day trip but I'm confident ill get back on track. I did much research before going but still struggled.

Give it a few days... The past few WDW trips and my last Disney cruise I returned 3 pounds up, but it literally went away with no effort within a week. I swear my body just needed to savor the salt and sugar for just a few extra days! Ha! (I also researched and planned and ate more sensibly than my fellow travelers and walked like crazy, it does help) Even if you really are up 3 pounds, it is only 3.... You can drop 3, just remember how much fun you had : )
