November 2, 2013 - Disney Fantasy 7 night Eastern - Cruise Meet

Give it a few days... The past few WDW trips and my last Disney cruise I returned 3 pounds up, but it literally went away with no effort within a week. I swear my body just needed to savor the salt and sugar for just a few extra days! Ha! (I also researched and planned and ate more sensibly than my fellow travelers and walked like crazy, it does help) Even if you really are up 3 pounds, it is only 3.... You can drop 3, just remember how much fun you had : )

When we went on our annual jaunt last year (week on the Fantasy and two weeks at DW), I was fearful of the inevitable weight gain, especially on the cruise. This year I kept booze at a minimal and cut out all sugar. I also downloaded a free aerobics class called "Fit for Duty" that I got on iTunes. Put it on my iPAD. It was a little tight doing this in my cabin but I stuck to four days a week and continued at our resort. The work out was about 30 minutes. That and watching what I ate seems to have resulted in only a very minor weight gain. But the cruise...that is a killer. The food...soooo good!

I lost 40 pounds last year and have put a few of those back on (5 or so). Am working to take it off again before the cruise. I have another 30 to go, but can't seem to get motivated. Dr. says I've reached a new "set-point" and my body needs to adjust before I head on round two. I thought she was full of it, but the trouble I've had with this go-around--she might be right.

Only gaining 5 back I think is pretty good. Hope you find your motivation to to work on the next 30. What helped for me was to focus on just 5 lbs. at a time.

That is awesome!!! I have lost over 200 pounds and I know how hard it is!!!

Congrats! I was down 18 pounds on weight watchers from the new year. I'm back from Disney world today and had a very difficult time with points down there, even with all the walking the meal plan and those desserts got the best of me. Came home 3 pounds heavier from a 10 day trip but I'm confident ill get back on track. I did much research before going but still struggled.

Thanks, & I too gained 3 lbs on our December WDW trip & it came off within a week of eating my new normal way. Yours should come off shortly too!

I was thinking about fish extender gifts last night and it occurred to me that some of us might want to personalize our gifts with the group's special name...

But we don't have one yet.

Hi heartpooh! I am new to this thread as well.

My sister and I are planning on finalizing our booking tomorrow! I am feeling a little spoiled this year because I am going to be on the Fantasy twice (eastern both times). Once with my family in June and now this cruise in Nov with my sister and the wdwradio peeps.

Excited!

We booked a year ago and tried to switch to WDW so we wouldn't feel left out. No can do.

Okay-I was asked to finalize the decision for the FE's. A little early in my opinion, but since I was asked to make the final decision, I have done so.

Final Date for participation in the FE is August 25th. I will post the final lists on August 26th. After that, I will put together maps, etc for all participants.

Limit--20 rooms max. I will divide the list on the 25th to equal numbers with a max of 20 rooms per list. IF YOU WANT YOUR NAME ON MULITPLE LISTS YOU WILL NEED TO SEND ME A PM PRIOR TO AUGUST 25TH.

After the lists are posted, there will be no changes. Sorry if I sound like a high school teacher before final exams. Oh, I guess I was a high school teacher and I gave many final exams, so I come by it honestly. Have fun prepping. Our current numbers are posted on the FB page. I will update it again later this week and have a new one up by April 1st.

So excited! Just booked my first trip as DVC member. My husband and I will be celebrating having just gotten married and we cannot wait to meet other Disney lovers. This trip is going to be full of first for us. Our first DVC trip. Our first DCL trip. Our first real vacation as a couple!! We cannot wait to meet other people and have a great time. We also really want to do FEE! Any tips we'd love to hear them. Until then 217 days left.

We just came back from the travel agent´s office and booked the trip!!!
