So.. I know we are still far out from our cruise. But I was looking at pictures of doors and FE's and wondering where does everyone get the magnets for doors and fe holders....also do we have to make our gifts and is there a dollar limit....first time cruiser here so just want things to be perfect.

Let see what I can answer of these--

FE's--there is a thread (probably more than one) on this site about FE's. I ordered one, and then made my own--I'll try and post a pic of it. The FE holder is a Fish located on the left or right side of your stateroom door, so you don't need to worry about a holder. We used a chain to hang it over the Fish and it worked great. Once you see a picture, you will understand. If you go on ebay and search for "fish extenders" there are vendors who will customize and make you one or you can make one yourself. Basically an FE is just "wall pockets" like a hanging cosmetic bag. Does that make sense?

Magnets--I've used the magnetic printable sheets and gotten the magnetic tape from Hobby Lobby or Michael's.

You do not have to "Make" your gifts, we purchased some and made some. I don't know if there is a dollar "limit", but we could have 40-50 participants by the time we are sailing, so it can get expensive if one gets carried away.

As far as being "perfect" don't worry about that! Be YOU! That's really what the FE exchange does--it gives everyone a little glimpse of who you are or maybe where your from or what you might love. Our first FE revealed some very talented people. It was a lot of fun!!!!

I've done the FE's before. I made my magnets using magnet paper, a printer, and some custom photos for the cruise. The kids have the most fun with the FE's! i ordered my FE holder from ebay, I've seen them on etsy also. You can google some ideas, generally people make them or do something that pertains to their home town. I live at the jersey shore and I've included salt water taffy in mine before.... nothing like salt water taffy from atlantic city!

Hi everyone! I am new to DCL & a BIG Dis fan!!! We have just booked this cruise for next year. Actually, we booked it the day after we returned from WDW. We are HUGE WDW fans & have been on CCL. We have been wanting to try DCL for years & finally booked!!!! I have TONS to learn!!!!!

Welcome aboard! My family are HUGE Disney fans too! We leave for WDW in 67 days and counting! Love DCL!!!! Did one in October after a couple days in WDW, so looking forward to the cruise. So relaxing and fun, all the while in Great Disney Style. You're gonna have a great time.

It was a hit! We have time, I'll think of something else. Someone even suggested tasty cakes since only we get them. I did fralingers taffy, it got pricey. It's a small world. We're still at the shore, I can't leave the beach!

I have found out we will be in port in St Maarten with 3 other ships. They are the Liberty of the seas, Vision of the seas and Norwegian Epic. All together the 4 ships will bring in up to 14150 passangers and 5283 crew members. Looks like a busy day. If we go shopping will we get better deals, worse deals, or the same as usual?

Wow! I'll be looking over the list and updating it. Both Bob & I are on FB page now. Yea! Well, maybe not. I'll have to behave myself! We're booked at AKL post-cruise to do a little F&W. Now, we have to work on pre-cruise and flights! So, who's going where and doing what?

Also-Do I separate the cruise list from the FE list? Do we need to do a separate thread for the FE's???

We are hoping to have a pre cruise stay at BCV but may still change that decision. Flying down on Wednesday, Oct 30th, doing mnsshp on Oct 31st and heading for the Port late on Nov 1st. We will be the crazy one's standing at the pier near Grills on Saturday morning at 5:00 a.m. (probably with Mike and Robin) to welcome back the Fantasy.

Flying back home on Sunday Nov 10th.

Please add us to the FE list. We have 5 rooms (I will confirm they all want to do it). Mostly adults but 5 kids...ages 8 and below. We are all from Maryland so maybe an old bay treat of some kind. How does this FE work? One gift per room? one per person in the room? We are huge Disney fans and go atleast once a year. This is our first Disney Cruise super excited! Any tips? Info/tips on excursions? We are currently try to figure out the time before the cruise...go to disney, stay hotel near by, stay at airport etc? Any tips would be great! Thanks!

Hey-welcome to all the newbies since I last posted this. A new year smiles on us and I'm DH and puppies sleep in the den--why can't we bring our puppies on the ship??? A new idea for Disney Cruise--dog cruises!!!
