November 19, 2009 3-day Wonder Cruise

A couple of weeks ago I shared that my hours had been substanially cut at my job and I was now a very part-time employee. I was trying to keep a positive attitude and use this as an opportunity to find a job that I could really feel great about. Well, wonderful news!!! I got an offer today for a job that is PERFECT for me and they are excited to have me come aboard as soon as I am available. They even suggested that I could start doing some training next week if I had the time and I had to tell them that I have a fabulous vacation planned.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my news. I am nervous/excited to give my notice to my existing boss but I'm sure that he'll understand that financially the part-time gig just doesn't cut it for me. I feel so lucky that I was able to snag something new so quickly, it is a perfect fit for me AND I get to go on vacation to boot!

Is anybody else as excited as I am about this cruise???? I know...dumb question right? Can you believe that this time next week, we'll all be somewhere in the ocean between Port Canaveral, Florida and Nassau? How cool! Can't wait to meet you all! 3PM in the main atrium/lobby. See ya there!!!

Okay....I am new to the FE thing. I don't remember seeing them when we were on the Wonder in '06. Is there a certain time we should distribute the gifts? My thought was to see if any were hanging up after we are allowed access to our rooms and start unloading the goodies...Do most people put them up early??? Any wise words of wisdom from any of you (who haven't left for your vacation) would be greatly appreciated!!! I am on the count down!!! I worked last night, tonight and tomorrow night, then have to attend a 4 hour class on Tuesday AND THEN I AM OFFICIALLY ON VACATION!!!

Hiya,
I hung my FE up as soon as we boarded last time but we were so late on the ship so it was around 3 right before the drill. We had gifts in it by that night and everytime we went away and came back there were gifts. I put all my gifts in a gift bag so I don't have to make so many trips. Also some of my stuff may be helpful on Nassau day If I remember correctly my daughter went around on the first night but had sea legs lol! Those bars on the walls are there for a reason lol! Well can't wait to meet you on Thursday.
PS if anyone needs zip wire to secure their FE's I am bringing extra

We leave early Monday! I can't be more excited!

You can distribute at any time during the criuse. That is what I love about it. You never know when your going to come back to your room and have something waiting for you.

Hello November Nauticals! My DCL countdown widget now says, "2 days, 23 hours and 14 minutes" until 10am when they open the cruise terminal for all of us to begin our "Wonder"ful cruise! The weather looks really good for our trip!

Just wondering, if anyone is going to be at WDW the night before the cruise and wants to get-together to go hear "Piano" Bob Jackson over at Disney's Port Orleans riverside, for a fun night of sing-along, piano bar - type fun...where you can bring the kids...hit me up on my cell phone! WOW!!!
We got home about 45 minutes ago.....I am SO TIRED, I didnt sleep too well, but we are leaving to go to the movies to see New Moon in 1 hour. I wanted to thank everyone for the fabulous FE gifts and awesome magnets!!! It was so nice to meet some of you and put the face with the name!!! I didnt think we would do it, but I booked the Dream for a 3 night in 2011 for about the same time, November 20th I think?!?!? I just HAVE to get more use out of our fish extender. Anyway, I hope everyone had a great time too and a safe journey home!!!
