November 19, 2009 3-day Wonder Cruise

Good luck to all of you leaving this week. I hear the hurricane is going to drop a ton of rain on Florida. Wishing clear skies for you!

Us too but I think this will be headed up the coast by then. The weather forcasts are not showing this affecting the Orlando area too badly. It may make for a bumpy flight for those of us who may have to fly over this weather system if it stalls.

PS anyone else disappointed "New Moon" isn't a Disney Movie? I would love to see that on the ship!

ABSOLUTELY!!!
After we booked, my sister called me and joked that we were going to have to cancel the cruise. I asked why??? She told me that New Moon begins on the 20th!!! Oh well....I dont really want to see it in a packed theater, so I thought we would go see it sometime before Thanksgiving. My daughter, her friend, a few other people that I have to take to see it and I were talking and we MIGHT try to go see it on Sunday evening after we return!!!

Hello all!!!
I just want to wish everyone a safe and healthy journey down to Florida, whenever your vacation begins!!! I suppose we will be the last one to leave for our vacation, since we aren't leaving til 9:00am on the 19th. Here's hoping for some pixie dust that we all have a WONDERFUL vacation!!!

After we booked, my sister called me and joked that we were going to have to cancel the cruise. I asked why??? She told me that New Moon begins on the 20th!!! Oh well....I dont really want to see it in a packed theater, so I thought we would go see it sometime before Thanksgiving. My daughter, her friend, a few other people that I have to take to see it and I were talking and we MIGHT try to go see it on Sunday evening after we return!!!

Our return flight isn't until 5 so we won't make it home til 7 I am not sure I want to go see a movie that night. We had sea legs too last trip Can't wait to see that movie although I like the books better

Guess what, guys - our TA just called and said Disney upgraded us to a verandah room! YAYYY!

We've never had an upgrade before and never had a verandah, either. It's a navigator's verandah on Deck 7 near the aft end of the ship. It's one of those enclosed verandahs with a large open porthole. We'll be a lot closer to the restaurants and movie theater. We were near the bow of the ship on deck 5 before the upgrade.

Now we're even more excited!

I'm one of THOSE people. We leave Saturday morning at 3:30am for the airport. I'll start packing Friday sometime Not only that...but I make everyone in my family do THEIR OWN packing...I do however do an audit before leaving And if worse comes to worse, I figure we can buy it

I'm a late packer too. I never sleep much the night before a trip anyway, seems like there is always tons to do. Our daughter is off of school on Friday (end of the quarter for her school) and my hubby and I are off of work, so we'll have plenty of time to deliver the guinea pig to the relatives, clean the house, pack etc. Don't get me wrong....I'll still be up until the wee hours and only end up with a couple of hours of sleep! But I'll sleep like a baby on the plane.

The weather forcast gets better each day as we head towards the weekend. Here's hoping those forcasted 83's in fact do happen. The weather for Nassau is looking great also. Can't wait. Only 3 more sleeps now.

Congrats on your upgrade! I don't think there's any hope I can be upgraded from a category 6 to the Roy Disney suite is there lol? Wishful thinking on my part! Our package made it to Disney in 3 days flat! Can't wait for Monday!

Hi everyone-

I was interested in looking at deck plans so I could game plan where I need to go for delivering fish extender gifts and found this great web site: http://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/Main/Disney+Wonder-deck-plans.html

First you just click one deck to print but then the next page lets you select up to five decks at a time and prints them all very nicely on one page. I was able to print this out and now have a handy sheet to help me visualize where to go. We've been on the boat a couple of times now but sometimes it can be confusing enough just to find our own cabin! Thought perhaps some of you might find this handy too.

We leave early Saturday and are looking forward to a few days in the parks before the cruise. Happy travels to everyone and looking forward to seeing you at the cruise meet on Thursday at 3pm.

Is anyone going to MVMCP on the 17th? It would be cool if we could bump into each other somewhere in the World!

About getting lost on the ship...I sometimes get turned around from aft and the front of the ship. My room is right off the midship (last time it was off of aft) elevators and I forget which way to turn when I get off lol! Luckily there are markings on the floor and a map on the wall when you get out of the elevator.

Our last time we had rough seas so I was holding onto the railings in the hallway trying to keep my balance while delivering FE gifts. Here's wishing us calm seas!
