Gee Willie, don't know what to say..I'm awestruck.... God Bless. You are a great guy :) .

Nice to hear from everyone. Julia, Bailey was talking about "the 5Js" just yesterday. She can't wait to hook up with Jessica, Jenna and (Willie's) Erin again! Yes, John has posted a bit, but not much. He did take the time to post pictures of the car. I need to do the same. I sent an email to the lakotadisplaygrp address regarding the GC excursion. It's $55 for adults, $40 for 10 and under. Let me know if you didn't get it.

I finally booked the Fury for 12:30 in COZ and reserved floats on CC. This year I'm bringing cheese wiz for the fish!!

Willie,Glad to hear you made it home fine.God Bless you and family!You brought tears to my eyes.I see all this on the tv,and it is so sad.Now,the next time I see it I will remember what you said.My prayers continue for your family as well as everyone who is dealing with this.

Maria

Hi everyone,

Willie, great job, I'm sure your family is very gratetful. But then that's what family is suppose to be about.

Anyway, time is getting shorter, with Doug adding the Fury for COZ, I think that makes three of us. Myself and Icemanpad are also on that shore excursion. Any other DIS'ers on that excursion??

Doug, how many do we now have for the GC excursion??

Ken, we are signed up for the Fury, also. I think that Lampy and family is onboard also.

Hi everyone,

Today, I reserved the Fury in Cozumel also....everyone get ready for Mr. Miller :drinking1, no one can catch up with him, especially when there's FREE beer on the trip.

On the last Thanksgiving cruise, I missed the Pirate party because I was not feeling well and went to my cabin for the whole night....what did they do?!

Should I do the High Tea? and is anyone going?

See you very soon :banana:

First Willie - thank you for the update - I know that I can't begin to fathom the destruction, but I get so irritated at the press just keeping the negative alive. It's happened, let's all band together and get what needs done today ~done. There is a guy from my office who served with Ohio's Task Force and he will return to work today. He said they, of course, were emotionally affected but then put that with not much sleep for a week and it really takes a toll on the emergency teams too. It is answered prayer that your family is okay and you are back safe too. May you experience many blessings for opening your home though this troubled time.

Julia - Bev here - it's my DH (Dan) and I that are in Dayton, Molli (our DD) and her family near Columbus. Our single DS lives in Blue Ash - works for GE (not cruising tho). Somehow, we just don't make it "south" that much but if there is a chance that Molli and her family are over and we can schedule a pre-cruise meeting - let's go for it! I probably could get DH to join us if I tell him it's a biking trip - he is into riding his bicycle lately and would love a trip south - he hasn't checked out those trails/roads yet. :rotfl: How cool that you had such great response for your faux painting business - such talent :teeth:

That reminds me that I went to check out the dolls that Zeke makes - AWESOME - I was so impressed how "real" they looked.

I have to admit that I am a "lurker" here - love to read everyone's posts - I pretty much am using Molli as our "personal" TA - I know it's brunch at Palo - and a pedicure for sure - wine tasting and I am taking some "bingo" $ too (practice for when I get to retire some day :rotfl: ) I mostly will be chilling and going with the flow! Am trying to figure out the wardrobe thing - I just keep rememebering "pack it and take out half" that is ingrained - I am vowing not to "overpack" !! Oh yeah, Molli is into wardrobe coordination for family pictures, yikes - I just may HAVE TO SHOP to get something in the suitable color pallet :goodvibes

Well, my cup of coffee is gone - I have a date with my treadmill - I need to get serious about getting some weight off - so I can enjoy those yummy sounding meals and yes maybe a fu-fu drink or 2 and the clothes I own now still fit :wave2:

Oh, so sorry, Bev...I got all mixed up...and yes, let's have a pre-cruising meeting. Your DD is going cruisin' with you, right? We should try to get our schedules together and set a date. Thanks for the compliment on Faux painting....It's a physical job, juggling all the ladders and containers....I should get in shape for doing all that. :blush:

Let me know what's on your schedule!!!

i'm game for a mini-meet in Ohio!! actually I like the idea of DD-13 Taylor getting to meet some cruisers and start a friendship before going. She actually touched my heart though when I asked her if she was going to jump back on the teen thread and she shook her head 'no'; then I said "do you just plan on hanging out with your sister mostly" non-sarcastic -- and she said 'yea, probably' now i'm realistic and i know that will last two days but it's still sweet. they actually have set up two 'lunches' they want to do together -- just the two of them. Palo brunch started that conversation and they are into 'doing lunch' :) BUT as her mom i'd feel better her already knowing girls from good families (read: teens with rules to abide too) for her to hang with so she already feels connected and doesn't connect with someone without that! am i making sense?

Julia -- email me at marshalls@columbus.rr.com and we'll talk dates. anyone else close enough?

I realized my first sea day is really booked up already - i hope to start my day with a walk, pedicure at 8 a.m., character breakfast at 9:45 (me as photographer until 10:25); Palo brunch at 10:30 - nap at 1 p.m. it'll be tough, somehow i'll get through. I intended on hitting as many cooking related Art of Entertainment seminars as possible.

and definately the wine tasting -- maybe the martini tasting if available? i think thursday would be a great day for that while the men folk watch football

exciting exciting!!

Hi Molli;

I thought HEART lives in Ohio...but don't know what City it is....so Heart, if you are reading this, let us know...would you like to join with us? :grouphug:

I'll email you Molli, very shortly....

Julia ::MinnieMo

Way up north in Toledo--and we would like to join!

My DD is 14--she is bringing a friend, mostly because I was worried that other teens in the Stack wouldn't have as many rules to live by as she does! :earboy2:

Thanks!

WOW!! In Toledo...is that about 4 hour drive to Dayton?? ...or should we try to meet half way so that no one drives more than others? I just emailed to Molli and we are trying to schedule something....my email address is fauxforyou@zoomtown.com. We can discuss it then. We would love to have you join us too!!! :Pinkbounc

Julia ::MinnieMo

Hey, Lampy...it's Julia here, since you are a few hours away from Ohio, how would you like to join us for a pre-cruising meeting? or anyone else out there who would like to come...just don't want leave anyone out.

This time has gone too fast it's scary!! :bitelip:

Julia ::MinnieMo

Heart
please excuse my wife for she does not know how to drive!
i drove home from Toronto in 7 hours last week with three pit stops!
I am going up there again in about 13 hours from now!
(Cobra seats are not that comfortable)
Toledo is only 3 hours
Hey Lamps if you come over i can give you a case of that "water" you drink
I think any exit near I-70 and I-75 intersection would be good for all
If anybody has a boat to drag along-Lake St Mary's? Campout?(i will be at the nearest Marriot.)

I can see once again from the post...not only Lamps and Willie needs some culture but so does my wife...anyone doing the Wine Tasting?

John :earboy2:

Willie...you're too funny! I'm so glad to hear that your family made it through well enough. You have a big heart and if that karma thing is much, you will be rewarded many times over for your good deeds. :grouphug: I can only imagine how it's impacted your area. We just got a few kids at Nic's school who have been displaced...mostly folks with family near here I am assuming.

Julia...when you mentioned high tea it made me sad...I wish I was going this year. I think when we did high tea last Thanksgiving, it was one of my fondest memories. :goodvibes I'll be thinking of ya'll when I go with my Dsis and niece to celebrate my niece's birthday. She wanted an "all girl weekend" in Chicago and I get to join them with her only girl cousin her age an aunt and another cousin. She's big into the American Girls so we get to have afternoon tea at the American Girl Place...it should be fun.

I've noticed the thread has been a few Miller lite's short of a Lampy...any ideas where he's been? I bet he's soaking up the last of the summer sun on that boat out on the lake. :sunny:

I'm getting as excited as ya'll and I'm not even gonna be on that ship...well, maybe in spirit! pirate:

Well, ya'll take care!

Laura, we will most certainly hoist a cold mug in your honor at Diversions while watching the Texans WIN this year! That last minute field goal by Green Bay ruined a good evening! So this year on Sunday Nov 20 when you turn on the Sunday nite ESPN game of Houston Vs Kansas City, have a Miller and be with us!
Is there anything onboard I can bring back for ya? And don't say your waiter!

Will

John--

If you made it to Toronto in 7 hours you must have hit the bridge at a good time... :earboy2: Or maybe the Cobra got away from you...
