ohMom-Yes,sea days are definitely full.A walk in the morning sounds great.I told myself I was going to do that in December,and I never did.We were just going and going.I am going to do it this time that is for sure.The Art of Entertainment classes are so fun.I so enjoyed them.We did the appetizers and desserts one in December.The wine tasting we won't talk about.DH and I love it.Hey a Martini tasting on Thursday while the men watch football sounds like a great idea to me.I agree totally the first sea day is completely packed for us as well.Hope the mini-meet in OH goes well.We will be with you all in spirit.

Happy weekend to all of you!

Maria

Julia,

You should have an updated cruise spreadsheet listing the DIS cruisers that have replied to our little group and have given me some cruise information.

If you don't, I'll send you another copy via email.

Ken

I just wanted to say hello to everyone and say how glad I am to have found this message board. I'm also in MD...in Columbia, so hello to my fellow Marylanders!! :wave2:

I will be on the Thanksgiving cruise this year with my incredibly shy 11 y.o. daughter. I'm worried that she may not have as great a time as I want her to due to her shyness, but I'm hoping that she will anyway. I'm really looking forward to the cruise, and I know my daughter would be too, BUT she doesn't yet know that we're going, and I think I won't tell her until the morning we leave...:rotfl2:

I haven't yet read thru all 125 pages of this post, but does anyone know if there are any other single parents going?

Well I guess that's it for now. You guys seem like a really friendly bunch, and I look forward to cruising with you all! :cool1:

Maria- Glad your coming, looking forward to meeting you. :cheer2:

KennyK-If you could, please send a copy of the spreadsheet? :blush:

I just told my DH that we need to start exercising before heading to cruise...if we don't get started, we will gain 10 more pounds and will never get it off.

Gotta go and take care of my sick girls....ALLERGIES are crazy out here!!!

Julia ::MinnieMo

Welcome aboard, Fletch 88 :boat:

I'm sure someone out there are single parents, there are always magic in the air. Your DD who's 11, uh, let's see....who's very shy....but once she observes the Magic ship she will have an awesome time and she will no longer be shy anymore :wizard: TA-DA!!!! Most of the group here have several girls around your DD's age...before you know it, she would want to play with other girls and you can do your thing!! :laughing: :rotfl:

Julia ::MinnieMo

Julia-We are looking forward to meeting you and everyone on this thread.I want to exercise myself.I will start going back to the gym this weekend.I would like to lose some more weight before cruise.I haven't been on one cruise yet where I have come back without gaining weight.Hope your girls are all better soon.I have allergies,so I know exactly how they feel!((hugs))

fletch88-Welcome aboard!I am sure your daughter will have a great time as well as you.

Laura, we will most certainly hoist a cold mug in your honor at Diversions while watching the Texans WIN this year! That last minute field goal by Green Bay ruined a good evening! So this year on Sunday Nov 20 when you turn on the Sunday nite ESPN game of Houston Vs Kansas City, have a Miller and be with us!
Is there anything onboard I can bring back for ya? And don't say your waiter!

Will

:rotfl2: Darn...that Mark from South Africa we had was such a cutie! :earseek:

I will have to make sure Nic and I are watching the game with ya'll from here...I'll get the Miller and give him a good Dr. Pepper...since it originated in Texas and it's one of his favs.

As for bringing back anything...well, that is about the sweetest thing...I'll think about it...I might ask ya to grab a tshirt for Nic. Poor guy had a growth spurt and outgrew his in a few months...I'll check with him, then let you know. I'll need to get your address so I can send you a check for it...I'll let you know. Thanks for the offer!

Hi Everyone!

Wow... I missed several pages of posts and have some reading to do! I just wanted to take a minute to show my face though before absorbing all I missed! :flower:

Gang,

I'm one of those info geeks and have been working lately in the internet security area. 7 out of 10 of us will be victims of identity fraud. We'll guess what? Tag I'm it! My bank alerted me today of some charges I didn't make in AZ. What an eye opener. All is fine... but beware.

I'm vigalant about my computer's security. Most likely my card was swipped at a restaurant (the only time it leaves my hands) Anyone ever had similar experiences?

Doug

Hi Fletch88

Welcome, First, my daughter who will be cruising with us is a single parent also and has a 12 yr old son. Up until last week they lived with us. They have now relocated to Florida, soon to be joined by us.

But anyway we have an excel spread sheet with all us DIS cruisers listed. If you would like a copy send me an email to ken.kerns@verizon.net and I'll send you a copy.

I know of one other family that lives in Maryland that will be cruising with us. Her user name is Neverlandclub.

Ken :wave:

:guilty: Oh Boy Doogie, I'm really bad at using my credit cards online....but things like airline and specialty things, I use my card. I had a neighbor of mine that someone(teenagers) in California wrote down his credit card number and purchase $6,000 worth of clothes and stuff...but the good news is the cops arrested some teens and the credit card company cleared the $6000. off their card. I should be more careful...thanks for the info.

Welcome to the group Fletch!! My college roommate (a single mom) and her 10 year old DS are joining us on this year's turkey day cruise. Also, my DH is from Maryland-Pikesville. We have been to Columbia a few times b/c he has friends that live there. My DS (age 5) and I really like the mall in Columbia. I like the shopping and my DS likes the fact that there is a merry go round inside the mall!!

:sunny: :sunny: Hey Fletch, there you go, Icemanpad just gave you the magic...you will meet quite a few or more of single parents. I'm guessing this is your first cruise to Disney, just so that you know, in the evenings, all parents meet in different locations, such as comedy club or bar area to share our stories that day(what activities you did) and the kids would go and do their thing...like movies, other evening activites. It's a lot of fun! :goodvibes

All to the ones that would like to listen...I'm starting to get busy again with Faux painting. I just went to my appointment yesterday, and AW MAN, I loved the house that my client has. It's a tudor home that was built in 1927 and it has great features. You see, I grew up with an old home and my DH it's not in such a favor of old homes, he thinks that they are too much work and also he remembers that my house reminds him of Amityville Horror (movie). It freaks him out, oh brother!! So what kind of house do we have, a house that was built in 1989 and there's always something wrong with it....what's the difference?!!!

Anyway, enough talk, DH tells me I gotta get the office cleaned up....Talk you all later!!

Julia ::MinnieMo

Welcome aboard,Fletch from your fellow Marylanders! We are in Ellicott City and we have a 13yr boy, and 10yr girl,5yr girl,and 2 yr old girl. Your daughter is sure to have a ball on the Magic. Its the best vacation experience ever, and 2 days at Castaway Cay is going to be amazing! :wave2:

OMG
I am gone for a day and what do i see.....
My wife is typing away. I think we are trying to get our "COUNTER" up and maybe get another tag line....
I would like "It's a Small World" and "It all started with a Mouse" to who ever is in charge with adding such things under our names on the DIS! :goodvibes

My 21 hour day yesterday was fun and productive
My customer and i drove up to Toronto, amazing what you learn when you are in a car for 15 hours with a guy. Anyway he was impressed with the facilities there, A lot to quote for this week. Erin!- maybe we will book Christmas 06 if you beg us! :rolleyes1 wink, wink!

John :earboy2:

Hey, Tri Circle D!!! Do you have an email address so I can send you the money for 5 tshirts? Let me know if there's any concerns or questions.

Thanks,

Julia ::MinnieMo
