Ron, did I read that you are already booked for the 10 day Christmas cruise for 2006? We are looking at dates, in case we decide to rebook while onboard this year. That is one of the dates we are looking at. Ten days would be heaven. And it hits ports we have never been to. But 10 grand for a cruise just sounds nuts. I guess if you think of it as $250 per day per person, it does not sound so bad! And we would get 10% off for booking while onboard. That would save about $1000. Sorry to be rambling along here! But I know we will be looking to rebook while onboard, and I want to be prepared.

Is anyone else looking at future dates yet?

Yes, we're thinking of one of the Costa Maya cruises next summer, but are still not sure since it will be hurricane season. :confused3

DH and I haven't looked into the dates yet,but we know for sure we will be booking onboard.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

NLK....stay at a DCL resort and use their transportation.....if ya need help let me know....I'll call my "girlfriend".........

Yes Willie I gave my 1000.00 for 06 x-mas.........11700.00 for ours and I booked 6 mos ago..........

Where are you all staying before we leave on cruise?I know this past weekend we tried to get ressies for one night, and they were booked.AAA also told me that some of the resorts are going to minimum night stays.I wonder when Disney started that.We have decided to stay the night of Friday,November 18 at DW.DH says he doesn't want to drive there the same day that we take off after getting stuck in Melbourne this weekend I am not fighting it like I use to<G>.I will call this weekend to make sure we get ressies for Friday night,November 18.

DH goes back to Melbourne today, and he is stopping by port to see the Disney Wonder. My luck I can't go.It was so different not seeing the Disney Magic at Port on Saturday.I missed it.We ate at Rusty's at port which we both enjoy. If you haven't tried it,you should.

Everyone have a great Thursday!

Ok, it is only FOUR months til WE B CRUISIN! I am going to start now to try and learn some names. It would help if we had more pics on the website! Email them to Doug.(Doogie)

I don't know if it is better to make a reservation now for the 2006 10 day, then rebook onboard, of just wait and book it then. I guess the advantage would be if rates went up. But with the 10% discount, surely it would be cheaper to book onboard? I dunno. I make ask for info out on the main board about this.

Willie

Probably the Beach club for us AGAIN!!!! It's the first pick up for DCL transportation.....gotta get there so willie don't eat all MY shrimp!!!! :rotfl2:

Willie my name is Ron and I dring millerlite......just call me Lampy!! :drinking1

Ron, Willie, Ice and Kris and all....

Nice to see your posts. Sorry I haven't posted much nor updated the web site. I've been swammped, in Philly again this week, visting MIL this weekend, then off again... only in my own bed 2 nights in 3 weeks. I'm ready for things to slow down!

I'd love to do the 10 day, but it won't work out with school schedules. I'm considering early next June and re-booking on-board. We're hoping to take MIL to WDW next March and my brother & fam next summer

I agree with Willie, it's a lot of fun to do activities with folks we've met on this board. Dinners are going to be interesting. What is the arrangement? Are we going to be seated at one big gianormous table or just in the same area?

Our kids had a ball at last year; this year they're already asking that we do what everyone else does. I think they could care less "what" we do it's "who" we do it with :). I must admit, Lamps (Ron) is like Casper the friendly ghost, he just shows up unexpectedly and adds additional fun. I don't recalling hangin' with him much, he'd just "appear" or is that "a-beer"?

Hope the summer is going well for everyone. Soon school starts and the cruise will be here before we know it. Stay :cool1: in the heat.

Doug

stop sending it to me here in Dayton, OH !!!!! :rotfl2: Everyday I say "today is the day, the cruise will be here before I know it" - Congrats to ALL the "losers" you are doing awesome - keep it up and I hear ya Kris on it being hard to lose - 15 lbs - WOOHOO!!!

Last night Dan (DH) and I went shopping for a couple of things and he nearly "stopped me in my tracks" well okay, he did stop me in my tracks - he showed me a shirt he was buying - flowery, tropical, perfect for cruising threads and I was sure he was just "joshing me" and I was waiting for him to say "me-wear that- ha - never" but......... he will be sporting a new look. :cool1: Molli are you still with me here - YES - I swear - it's the truth :teeth: OMG there is something "magical" happening already and still 4 months to go :jumping1:

I will be with Willie watching all the brave ones parasailing - no amount of DIS "magic" would get me up there - hey someone has to be on the ground to watch - don't they :teeth:

Doug - 500 posts - nice milestone

That's too funny as yesterday I ordered my DH a tropical Mickey shirt :rotfl: doubting he'll wear it but I thought I'd try!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: dad got a new shirt! dad got a new shirt! na-na-na-na-boo-boo

i saw a friend who had on this bright beautiful orange shirt with tropical drinks all over it -- I said "HEY! i need to borrow that shirt in november!" she laughed and said absolutely and i got more great cruisin' shirts you can borrow too! guess i'll take the frugal way and have more to spend onboard! hehehehe

i just realized when I get home from Vegas next Sat than I have like 4-5 days to figure out my excursions for the 105 day mark (REAS booking right?)

as of now i'm planning on booking the snorkeling (stringray?) excursion at CC, probably the first CC day; and hopefully they'll off the 2-for-1 CC rental excursions and we'll get that.

I think in GC we'll just hang out and taxi over to the turtle farm. We have outside excursions booked at Cozumel

no catamaran for us -- we all get seasick

i'm trying to convince DD age 13 for the CC teen wild side - is that the popular/only one? - can they wait and book that onboard? is there a space limit?? she'd rather wait and see what kind of friends she meets

:flower3: molli

Page 2???? Everyone must be having a very busy summer!! Our DS still has 2 more weeks of summer camp, then we have 1 week at WDW and then he starts 1st grade. The time goes so quickly!! We hope you are all enjoying your summer!! :cool1: :sunny:

Gang,

What's the skinny on doing something together on GC and COZ? I think Willie was going to contact Fury. I can contact Capt. Marvins. or Native Way WaterSports. On GC, I wouldn't mind stingray city, followed by the rest of the day at Rum Point Beach.

Let me know wht you think.

The week we are there, the Furys will be really busy. And because of the arrangement they have with Disney, they only book thru DCL for DCL passengers. But we can all book an excursion through Disney for the same trip. I am up for Fury at Cozumel. And then at Grand Cayman, it is easier to book outside of Disney. Doug, do you want to do the honors of picking out a stingray snorkel trip for us? I have heard good things about all of the outfitters. We used the Capt Marvin, but I am game for whichever you choose. We just love to snorkel!
At CC, we can get Doug to lead the trip around the lagoon again. Maybe he will put crackers in his drawers again! Those fish really loved that!( Where is the underwater video camera when you need it!?)

HALLRIGHT! DIS group excursions coming UP!

Willie

Hey, anyone remeber the DIS Board T shirts that I was posting about here a few weeks ago? We could not find the DIS Shop link where they are sold. Well someone on the main board posted the link to the DIS Shop. It has all sorts of DIS stuff for sail. Koozies, t shirts, etc. The link is

http://www.disshop.com/store.asp

Kelli and I bought and wore some of the shirts at sailaway last year. They were really high quality.

Doggie, any word back yet from Nativeway? Grand Cayman with snorkel AND beach visit sounds great to me. No turtle farm visits for me. I am not too fond of giant turtles. Unless they are on my trot line! :rotfl:

Willie

Willie,Great site!Let me know if you all decide to do the t-shirts as dh and I will definitely get one.

Maria

Hey guys.........definately parasailing for me this year!!!! I was unable the last couple due to my vision being so bad.....and no Willie it had nothing to do with the Miller lite......but finally, the cataract I have in my left eye is able to be removed :cool1: So looks like surgery will be sometime after school starts and they will lasik sp? it up and no need for glasses :cool1: But no hot tub, pool or salt water for 8 weeks.....and no heavy lifting for 4. Not to worry, I have been guarenteed.......12oz. :drinking1 is o.k.!!!! Hmmmmmmmm I've been blind in my left eye for so long I wonder if I'll still like Kim when I can see her :rotfl2:
Doogie, looks like the "dinner thing" is just going to be in one BIG area.....FOOD FIGHT!!!!! Hey Doogie, and John wherever you are.....had to get a couple of 275/40-18 run flat eagles for the "hot rod".... first price was almost 1200.00......finally tire rack, 315.00 per tire.......now to find someone who can mount them......they refuse to take on the responsibility of the chrome rims here at the dealership!!!

OK OK. I have to confess that I am CONSIDERING the parasail. Kelli told me how cool it was. I would probably love it. I just have one teensy weensy problem-o.

I have a huge fear of heights. OK, I said it.

Sometimes I can overcome it. But I usually just don't put myself in a position where I have to. And, man that was the best nap I ever had last year while everyone was gone off on excursions at CC. So, I don't know yet. It was really peaceful down there on the DIS corner of CC beach. The only problem was that this year, Lampy and family HAVE to be down where the rest of us are. The beach waiters NEVER made it down to us. They were kept busy at Lampyville.
