Way to go Willie--at least now you're thinking about parasailing!! It was a wonderful experience last year. The weather was perfect and the water was beautiful and calm!! We are definitely parasailing again this year!!

Ya know Willie, I can go on rollercoasters, fly probably even papasail but if I go on the roof of the house....I can't get down from the roof!!!!

Nope, haven't heard from NativeWay. I'll try Capt. Marvin's.

Speaking of height's, we're in CO now. DS and I hiked up the "old" incline railroad on Pikes Peak. We went from 6,500 to 9000 feet in 1 1/4 miles, then hiked 4 miles back down. I want all to know, my wife hangs the X-mas lights but steep drop offs on mountians don't seem to bother me. It was awsome!! The steepest part of the grade is 68% at that point there wasn't any turning back.

Hope all is well. Where are the 5Js?

We too are wondering where the 5J's are. Willie, i hear rumor that you may join us parasailing this year. we will probably go the first CC day prior to lunch.

Chuck

Hey Guys,

I've been lurking, I really envy you all that are cruising!

DD Rachel went to her first Water Ski Regional and scored forth in her division (the youngest) She did her best. :cheer2: I on the other hand did not :sad1: I heard that the Water Ski US open will be held at the Lake Buena Vista (Downtown Disney) in September. Wish I could use my SSR points.
Karen is doing great, due date it Sept 12 :scared1:

Lampy, have you been turning off the trac control again?

Hiya Pals!

I would like to do the Stingray City excursion in GC, but not the snorkeling one. Is there one where you just kind of stand in the water without having to snorkel? Two of us are not into deep water (that would be me and my 9yo)!

Booking directly with Capt. Marvin seems to be the most economical, right? Is anyone doing just the standing in the water stingray thing, also?

Regarding staying at a hotel the night before --- I have booked the Radisson at the Port, but still not sure if I'll keep it. I wonder how close it is to Ron Jon's Surf shop and the Cocoa Beach pier. We're getting into Orlando fairly early on Friday and will have some time to mess around.

Any ideas on other hotels or is the Radisson a good choice? I know its not on the beach, but they have a nice pool area, right? Maybe a beach hotel would be nicer -- but then again, we'll have plenty of beach time at the ports.

Then there's the idea of staying at WDW and hanging out at Downtown Disney --we did that last September. So maybe a change of scene would be nicer. Just thinking out loud here -- any suggestions or thoughts are welcome :-)

Still haven't booked our transfers yet. We used Quicksilver last year and liked them a lot.

Kris

greetings fellow sailors!

home from Lost Wages :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: we had a most excellent time

ready to think/plan DCL now! yeeehaw!!!!

i have a question about parasailing? i was considering it myself (and willie i really really really really don't like heights but i have convinced myself with all the harnessing i will feel very secure) but am I right that if DD and I go together it's $140 for one sail? am i tight b/c that seems like alot?

Hello all
Hope you all remember us?
It has been a very busy spring/ summer so far
I am this close to closing a $$$$$$$$ sale for a multi year contract from my customer in California. As you may remember, i am an independant sales consultant in the Store fixture/display industry. I have been traveling to the Bay Area about every 3rd week for the last 3 months. Engineering and prototyping a new fixture concept.
Julia's Faux For You painting business has blossomed too. She just got back from a trade conference.
I have not even been on the board since april, so i will catch up on the reading of the DIS in the next few weeks.
Just to let you know, i sat the family down last week in the family room and told them the news....
WE ARE GOING ON THE CRUISE!!!!
:grouphug:
I'll check back in a few days, but the
5's are in the HOUSE!!!

Welcome back 5Js!! The 2004 turkey gang all missed ya'all. We are happy that everything is going well!!

Molli-From what we remember, each person that goes on the boat needs to pay the same price. It was definitely worth the price!!

Lisa and Chuck

Oh YEAH, OH YEAH! RAISE THE ROOF! RAISE THE ROOF! The 5J's are in the house, once again!

Welcome back, John and family. Good luck with the deal in Ca. Anyone who works on commission alone understands where you are coming from! No work, no pay. And sometimes you work your tail off and still no pay!

Kris,
on the Capt Marvin snorkel/stingray trip we did last year, the water at Stingray city was only waist deep. So, not much use of the snorkel there. Except to just look under a little. It did freak out my two girls, but in a funny way. They got in the water for a while there, but then got back on the boat when it came time to hold a ray and kiss it on the head! The rays were really cool. They will push up on you trying to get you to feed them some squid. They tell you to shuffle your feet, so as not to step on them. They also tell you the proper way to hold the squid to feed them. They told us if you get the squid juice on your leg, the rays will "smell' it and may try to climb up your leg. So, being me, I rubbed the squid juice all over my arms. Those puppies were climbing all over me! It was really funny.

Here is a tip for the cruise we learned the hard way. Put your name on your disposable water camera! We were on the boat with Capt Marvins, and a family sat next to us with a water camera exactly like ours. Their little girl picked up ours by mistake. I saw it happen, but could not tell them apart. So of course when we got home, we had some great underwater pics of their family. I should have gotten their address, but I thought I had a 50-50 chance of having the right camera.
So, put your name and address on everything.

Willie

OK, so now where has Kenny been all summer? Hey Ken, you are the DIS leader this year! Are you still checking in?

Those with REAS or concierge can start booking stuff next week at the 105 day mark. if I am not mistaken. I think that will be next Monday.

Willie

Holy #!$%!!! It's John!!! :cool1: Welcome back to our little chat line....and I was going to e-you again.....

Bfosbenner.......yep, "active handling" off and "let there be smoke" :rotfl2: I put about 500 miles on it this weekend just making sure that the tires were o.k. :rotfl2: What a difference in road noise.......so for all you hot rods out there remember......tire rack....www.tirerack.com. They were 1/2 of what I could get even 115.00 per tire thru the Chrysler deal we have in parts......

Hey zeke, we stay the night before and do Downtown Disney every year, it's a nice night. We usually eat at Planet Hollywood and walk around.....

OK OK,

I'm still here every now and then. Been up to my ears in work this summer. I even gave up going to the Boy Scout Jamboree so I could get some work done.

And then to make matters worse, the radio station I work for PT had a transmitter failure in the middle of the night and had to work many hours in getting the backup on line.

So yes it's been a crazy summer so far. Would you believe I also changed my full time job in the middle of all this.

But yes I'm still here and monitoring the traffic

ken

Hey Kenny!! Sorry you are working so hard this summer, but on the other hand, I'm glad I'm not the only one! I read but hardly post due to my crazy schedule. Hey, sounds like we could use a cruise. How does Thanksgiving sound to you? :rotfl: Castaway Cay here I come! Can't wait to see the new Stingray encounter they are opening, as well as the new spa area and the big movie screen at the Goofy pool. The Magic just gets more Magical.

Oh yeah! I had forgot about the dry dock changes we will get to enjoy. Too cool.

Hello to all,
We will be on the Thanksgiving cruise too. I'm looking for pen pals (or email) for my two kids. I have an 8 year old girl and a 6 year old boy. We just found out that our friends (that we met 2 years ago on the Magic) will not be able to join us this time.

We're close to the 90 day mark-after all of this planning I can't believe it's almost here :)
