hello to all my fellow turkey day cruisers!!! thanks for asking about the marathon, i wasn't ignoring you i just got home late last night. after walking 13.1 miles officially we figured we could walk the parks for a day or two
please keep in mind this is my first marathon experience, there were some definate negatives happening, go to the WISH board for the
marathon riot thread to read ALL about it from our perspective. I was anxious, didn't sleep well and arose from bed at 2:47 a.m. to be at the bus stop at 3:15!

I was fortunate to be with my Mom and my cousin and another great group of WISHers and we had a fantastic experience together. Fireworks to start the race, entering World Showcase completely lit in the wee hours of the morning, entering Main Street and continuing through MK - it was beyond words. I found it emotional, frustrating, truly awesome, hard at times and yet the time literally flew and we were there finishing. We finished in 3 hours 20 mins, which considering the extrememly crowded course, a potty break and a picture break (with Goofy I think) Mom and I are very proud of our victory!
doogie - if you've done a marathon at WDW please read what happened and give me your take if you have the chance. it was very heartbreaking for those we knew that trained all year and accomplished great changes in themselves. i also heard several full marathoners were unfairly chuted into the half finish b/c of timing errors
i expect my mom to be popping in here now that our WDW trip is over
also - i had the pleasure of meeting and spending a little time with CherylN WI from last year's turkey sailing. She so kindly brought me navigators from the cruise! Somehow she misplaced Sunday but i think we'll have enough to convince my Mom there really is alot to do onboard as adults

If anyone has a Oceaneer Lab navigator for my 8 year old, would you consider copying and mailing to me, that would complete my set
