I hope the cruise stops are not impacted too much, but I really hope that the folks in Florida and the Gulf Coast are spared.

What if Coz is completely out?!!!! Then where do we go...would it be Costa Maya, like Doogie said???

What if GC is out too??? Do we get to just party on the boat...dive off the boat into the water and just snorkel around? hmmmm....sounds scary but eventful. :boat:

What if CC is out....NAY...I'm not worried about that...John says so...he's the weather man!! :rotfl:

Hey Doogie, Lampy and Willie....you know, it's really great talking to you all, but where are your wives???? I like to talk to them too, I feel we are not in the loop. Tell them I said hi :wave2: and hope to talk to them soon.

I want WILMA TO GO AWAY!!!

SEE YA!!

Julia ::MinnieMo

Julia-I want Wilma to go away too.I am hoping and praying that Wilma doesn't touch CC.I wonder whey they will route us too if not Western Carib. We may go to Eastern.I loved the Eastern in December, but we were wanting to try the Western.Time shall tell!I will talk to you soon!

Maria

Hi All!! Unfortunately, our local weather forecaster predicts that Cozumel and Cancun will both be "under water" due to Wilma. Let's hope that he is wrong!! This has been such a horrible hurricane season!! If Wilma stays on track it is expected to "hit" Florida sometime monday evening. Once again, lets hope that the forecast is wrong!! The local grocery stores are already out of water. However, they do have lots of pb and j!! We're hoping for the best!!

On a lighter note, our 6 year old DS loves 70 music as well!! His favorite song is by Pink Floyd...he sings along very loudly to "Teacher, leave us kids alone!!"

Lisa

Hi everyone,

Well we're over the hump less than 30 days to go before the magic takes us all away from it all to tranquil seas.

Anyway, still no doc's here in New York but my daughter received her's in Lakeland, FL today.

All our fellow floridian's stay safe in the forthcoming Week.

Ken

Ken-It is great to hear that your daughter got her docs.We haven't received ours yet.I am just hoping and praying that Wilma leaves FL alone,or she isn't as powerful as she is right now.I will be so glad when this hurricane season is over.We are so ready for vacation, and we don't care where we go aslong as it is on the Disney Magic with all of you great bunch of people.

Lisa-Your son knows great music when he hears it.I use to love that song.Stay safe down South!

Sherri-If he didn't hear it from you,he would of heard it from somewhere else.

Julia-You crack me up.I will talk to you this evening!

Willie-I know we may not go to Cozumel or Grand Cayman. We may end on the Eastern.Hopefully, the clean up won't be too bad.We can only hope.We enjoyed the Eastern in December, but I was wanting to see new ports.Oh well! That means we will have to book onboard for sure.

Where is Lampskies?

Happy Saturday all!

Maria

As most of you know today's cruise is going eastern so the next cruise that could go western is Nov 5th. We have been on two eastern cruises; this would be our first western, but we don't really care as long as we are on the Magic.

We are curious to see how bad the damage is in Coz and what cruise will be the first to go back. As it looks, there appears to be considerable damage, but we are seeing only a small part of the damage on the Weather channel.

Has DCL gone to other ports besides Costa Maya on a western?

I'd love to see Costa Maya rather than COZ, but want that 'double-dip' on Castaway Cay!!

We love the eastern better than the western.... but you can't beat the company on THIS western!!!

I was told we have to be back onboard the Magic at 2:30 on Sunday. Anybody else hear that? That kind of makes for a short day on CC. Apparently to make it to Coz on time they have to leave CC early, SO if we don't go to Coz then can we stay at CC earlier?

01 Cape Canaveral, Florida --- 5:00 PM
02 Castaway Cay, Bahamas 8:00 AM 2:30 PM
03 At sea --- ---
04 Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands 7:30 AM 4:30 PM
05 Cozumel, Mexico 10:30 AM 10:30 PM
06 At sea --- ---
07 Castaway Cay, Bahamas 9:00 AM 4:30 PM
08 Cape Canaveral, Florida 8:30 AM ---

So if we end up Eastern... for those in the know... what are the best excursions?

Ooops. You are right, I forgot, GC first.

Sherri -

Isn't it crazy? I've been researching excursions for almost a year and if we end up with an eastern, I'll be doing it all in less than a month - LOL!

I don't really care where we end with two exceptions -- I don't want to go to Nassau again (did that three times!) and I really want the douple dip at CC.

Other than that -- just hope we have ample notice to check into other ports and what they have to offer.

Hey, I've started to pack -- actually, I was needing to get my winter clothes out as it has become quite nippy here. So as I was packing away summer things I left out a few of the things I'm going to be bringing. I went on a 5 night cruise with friends last March and waaaay overpacked. So this time around I'm going to try to go much lighter. Easier said than done, isn't it?

UNDER 30 DAYS!!! WOOOOHOOOOO!!

:cheer2:

Kris :cloud9:

The eastern is my favorite, and I'd be happy to go there again. However, we hadn't planned on doing the eastern for another year, and I was hoping to save for a tanzanite bracelet. :guilty: There won't be a reason to go next year if we go THIS year. Guess I can go and drool over the bracelets (again.) Oh well, we're still on the Magic! :goodvibes

Does anyone have any idea when we will know for sure if our schedule will be changed? This is our first cruise- really won't be upset either way as long as we have the 2 days on CC!! But I would like to start planning excursions (again!!) if it is going to change. Phone just rang- it was DH and DS- found body glove snorkel equip at Sports Authority for $30, if anyone is looking!! Thanks!!

The first notice I saw of today's Western being switched to an Eastern was yesterday at 5:00 pm (at least that was the time and date stamp on the weather update) so I would start planning your Eastern excursions now as a backup plan just in case since this type of decision could be made at the last minute.

Welcome Cody'sMom! I'm glad you found your way over to us! You have quite a bit of reading to catch up on! You will learn quite a bit about us!

Sherri :flower:

Welcome Cody's Mom!I know DH won't be too upset if we do the Eastern instead of the Western. He loved the Eastern.I loved the Eastern in December, but I was looking forward to Grand Cayman and Cozumel as well as going by my home country,Cuba.I just wonder if we are able to do CC twice since it takes a lot longer to get to St Maarten.

Kris-I agree I don't care to go to Nassau again. They best come up with a different port then Nassau.I overpack every time.I went looking for new shorts today with no luck at all.We will go looking again tomorrow.I agree Disney best give us ample notice about port changes.I know for sure we that if we go to St Maarten we will do the island tour again as that was great.St Thomas I am not sure what we will do.Time shall tell!

Hello everyone. We are on the Thanksgiving Cruise, but I only started reading through the thread a couple of days ago (I'm more an Ears-to-Ears kind of guy), even though we have had our reservations for over a year. I spent about 4 hours last night, and only got through page 100. So I started at the end of the thread today, and read backwards to page 135. I think I have gotten the gist of the group. :rotfl2: :cool1: Sorry we missed out on the shirts, but we have some lime green T-Shirts from school testing last year that will work well. I also have a lime green Goofy hat that stands out pretty well.

This is our first Disney cruise (unless you count a Big Red Boat cruise in 1986 - but then I don't count that), but are longtime WDW visitors and recent DVC owners.

The particulars of the Houk (phonetic spelling is How-K) Family are:

Paul (AKA Goofyhouk), 45 :earboy2:
DW, Lisa (AKA I'm with Goofy), 45 :love2:
DS, Matthew, 15 :music:
DD, Cathleen, 14 princess:

Room # 2605, Late Dining

Home town - currently Montgomery AL (9 hours to the World), but have lived in (in order) Richmond VA, Northport and Commack Long Island NY, Boulder CO, Lucasville OH, Boston MA, Dayton OH, Harrisburg PA, and Seoul Korea. DW is from Barberton OH (right by Akron), but her parents have retired to Cape Cod MA. I'm retired Air Force, and I'm starting on my second career as an elementary school teacher. :teacher: My DW works at the same school as the bookkeeper. DS is a sophmore and DD is a freshman.

Excursion plans: Grand Cayman island tour (if there is anything left after Wilma to tour), Tuluum Ruins Tour

The reason for the cruise is to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary (was actually in August)

DW and I aren't drinkers, but we're looking forward to meeting up with everyone for a FUN week on the best cruise of the year. pirate:

If there are any kids that want to email or IM with DS or DD, send me a personal email with their accounts, and I'll send DS's and DD's IM to you.

Can't believe it is less than 4 weeks away. :hourglass
