Ronnie,

Sell it.... or convince the guy he needs a midnight blue Z06 and send him my way.... still the FASTEST production Vette ever made!! I got a quote last month for a trade that was only $1500 less than I paid a year ago. Talk about a car that holds it's value$$$$!

Where's the link to the kids T-day meet board? I heard there was a thread somewhere? My DS-12 would like to meet some other kids prior to cruising. PM me w/ your email if you want and I'll have him drop a message; or send mail to grayhounddoogie@yahoo.com

Thanks,
Doug

Willie! It's sounds like Hurricane Rita is heading out your way...are you going to be effected by this? Are you in the central of Texas? Hope everything will be okay. Let us know how things are going.

Julia ::MinnieMo

PS. Is there anyone else live in Texas who is in our DIS board?

Willie-We hope that your family and anyone else that may possibly be in the path of Rita stays safe!! We were very lucky--Rita passed south of Key West and didn't really have an impact here except for lots of rain, wind and no school for our ds. He spent the day w/ us in our office yesterday. What fun!! However, we still have tree limbs and power lines down from Katrina. This has been a horrible storm season and it will not be over until november!!

Chuck and Lisa

Oh that's right, Lisa and Chuck...You guys are in Florida....wow, it's better to have broken tree limbs and power go out than loose your house. I'm glad everything is okay at your end.

To have your own kids to work with you can be very challenging...still to this day with three teenagers are still bothering you when your trying to work :rotfl:

Have you told your DS about the BOAT?...or are you going to wait went it gets closer?

Can't wait to see you there.

Julia ::MinnieMo

Lisa and Chuck-I am glad things are okay at your end.We didn't get anything from Rita at all.We are in the middle of the state which helps.I told dh last night. We have been lucky this year as last year we had three affect us.Stay safe!

Willie-You and family are in our prayers!Hope all is okay!

Maria

Hey DIS Buddies! Just a quick post before I get back to storm preparations. I have spent the morning running back and forth from my office and house trying to do 100 things!

We are located right by Beaumont, Texas. We are on the upper coast about 45 miles from Galveston. As we speak, the main force of the storm is predicted to hit near Matagorda Bay. Which is about 125-150 miles from us. But we will get some 50+ mph winds at the very least. If it turns more North, we will get the bad part of her. My house is about 20 miles from the Gulf, and is high and dry. But I have some of the biggest Pecan,Oak and Pine trees very close to the house...
We are under a voluntary evacuation now, and if it turns our way, will go to mandatory.
We will probably lose power for a little while. Hopefully not for long. And both of my generators are at my sisters in Mississippi! They just got power back yesterday.

Things are kinda crazy around here with folks evacuating.

Willie

Willie
Hope for your sake it stays South, and for everyone else the intensity diminishes.
Bill

Willie-We wish you and your family the best!! We lost power for a few days due to Katrina. We wish we had a generator!! It was very dark, hot and we had to throw away everything in the fridge and freezer. However, we cannot complain--no damage to us or our home. Please take care and be careful!!

Julia and Maria--Thank you both for the kind words!!

Yep, our DS knows we are celebrating thanksgiving again on the Magic!! He is very excited--he never wanted to get off the Magic last year!! He tells everyone he knows and even people he doesn't know about the cruise!! He's very talkative!! pirate:

Willie,

We'll be keeping ya'll in our thoughts and prayers that you and the whole state are spared...let it just stay at sea. I spoke with Teresa last night and she said they were debating to evacuate or not from Houston.

Willie,

I thought about you today after I saw the track and heard it was as cat 5. We'll be thinking of you and your family. Stay safe.

Keep us posted when you can.

Doug

Lisa-Your welcome!Us Floridians much stick together.I wish and hope this hurricane season is over with soon.It seems like every year it is worse.I feel so bad for all these people who are going to be affected by Rita now,and those affected by Katrina! It is just devastating!

Willie-Good luck to you and family! You all are in our thoughts and prayers!Stay safe!

Maria

Thanks again, all for your prayers. I am one who believes that they really do work.

Kelli and girls just evacuated towards my sisters in Missisippi. I need to stay for work.
My nephew drove over from Miss. last night and brought me 3 generators, etc. Then he left this AM in all of the traffic to return home. Took him 5 hours to get here, but will take him 10-15 to get back home. Did I tell you how great my family is?

Willie

Our thoughts and prayers are with you also Willie......if ya need something let us know......you got the cell #. Hope it misses ya but looks like it's turning by the weather channel here......There are many travel trailer manufacturers here in Indiana and they say they can't build then quick enough to keep up with the displaced peeps in Louisiana......The R.V. store I purchased mine from 2 years ago called asking if I was interested in selling.......better keep it in case Willie becomes "trailer trash" :rotfl2: Sorry Willie I couldn't resist!!

Here it is Willie..............

[/SIZE]O.K. Guys..........we did this last year a little late so I am askin' to try earlier of posting your "real name" or possible nickname you go by....this way we aren't yelling "Lampskies, Blackhawk, Momsgoofy (that got some looks at 1 a.m. at the bar)etc." We will know each other name......K?

Lampy-Ron

Just wanted to let ya'll know that Teresa (silver7) from last year's Turkey Cruise and her family, including her MIL are caravaning out of Houston. She just called me on the cell to say they'd headed Willie's way trying to get to Arkansas to stay with family and are just barely past Vidor, TX on interstate 10...been on the road since 6am their time. She said this was the first time in her life they've evacuated. She sounded frustrated, which is understandable...no gas, no potties...said the ones on the way to Tulum was better than what they've found...and no places to eat and one of her dogs had thrown up in the van. WOW!

Willie, hope you get your tail out of there ASAP! Glad to hear that Kelli and the girls are with family in Mississippi!

We'll keep an eye on things from Illinois and pray that ya'll and everyone are safe!
