Welcome aboard, Fletch 88 :boat:

I'm sure someone out there are single parents, there are always magic in the air. Your DD who's 11, uh, let's see....who's very shy....but once she observes the Magic ship she will have an awesome time and she will no longer be shy anymore :wizard: TA-DA!!!! Most of the group here have several girls around your DD's age...before you know it, she would want to play with other girls and you can do your thing!! :rotfl:

Julia ::MinnieMo

Now that would definitely be magic if she would no longer be shy!!

Hey Tri-circle-D...thanx for the welcome! :wave2:

Hello all -

I'm getting so pumped about the cruise! It seems like its getting pretty close already!

Thanks for the info on the Tulum excursion. I just don't think my kids would enjoy it -- I guess we could split up, but I'm undecided on this.

Is anyone collecting the trading cards from McDonald's? I'm would love to get the whole set, but that means 50 happy meals!!!! I don't see THAT happening - LOL!

Kris

HOWDY FLETCH88 AND TANA!!!

Welcome aboard the BEST cruise of 2005!

Fletch88-My DD Erin is 10, but she has friends from ages 8-13 or so. I guess she is the opposite of shy. I don't think she ever met a stranger! Just turn your DD over to her to get introduced to the girls onboard. Last year there was a "gang" of them that called themselves the Brady Bunch.
Now my 15 year old DD is about as shy as you can get. They are quite a contrast.

Keep checking back here, and when we get closer to sailing, we will post a list of DIS meets that we can choose from. Some folks will go to quite a few, others only one or two. But it is better to have lots of options. Last cruise, we had lots of DIS'ers that met up each night after dinner at Diversions or Rockin Bar D and sat together. We had a great time.

Willie

Thanx so much, Willie! I'm feeling better already! :)

So your 15 year old is shy as well, huh? I guess the people over the years who have been telling me that my daughter will "grow out of it" have been lying!! I should have known when her 4th grade teacher said she'd be fine after that school year. 3 years later, she's still the same way, and now hearing from you, I guess I can expect her to be that way in another 4 years. I think I'd better just accept it at this point! LOL!

I guess my kids are pretty much to themselves as well. Last cruise, my teens didn't even go to the teen club once. My older spent most of her time just sunbathing around the pool. My 2nd followed me around a lot and I even found her one afternoon in the room watching tv - yikes! Those two are 18 and 17. My 3rd is the most sociable of the group, but not quick to make new friends. She did go to the club (she was 12 at the time), but didn't really make friends there. My son is very slow to warm up, but once he clicks with someone, he is friendly.

BTW, looks like we'll be celebrating quite a few birthdays on board.

My dd will be turning 19 on the 22nd!

Kris

I have never seen a shot-ski, but my DW went on a ski trip with a bunch of women a few years back, and they came back with tales of such a contraption. The next thing I know, one of the ladies gives my DW two old wooden water skis so I can make one for a party. I still have them in my garage. Someone tell me how to attach the shot glasses, and maybe I will make us one and bring it on the ship. How would you like that? Sounds like trouble to me!

The dry dock changes moderator Sue Ellen posted on the cruise board look great!

My son will love the simulator.

I wonder how I can rate one of those new spa rooms...

Lampy, I assume the shot glasses were not glued to the ski? If not, then that takes alot of coordination. You are truly talented! :rotfl:

Willie

Hey lampy, can I post some pics, too?

This is Kelli and I at Margaritaville New Orleans In July. I heard that it was not damaged too badly by the hurricane. (We drank a few too many hurricanes that day, also)
