DD-Molli (ohMom) "highly suggested" that I check out the thread....... let's just say I "knew" there was a message to be found-so like a good DM - I did just that.....
 i wanna be in the late seating dinner group -- we have to convince AlreadyExcitedGrammy
(Notice how she singled me out here and yet later reveals who the "hard sell" really is)
So - mentioned it to DH (Dan) he says "okay" and NOW she says..........
the late vs early dilemma continues in Central Ohio -- surprisingly the 'hard sell', my father, was ok with it?!? now i'm stumped. and quite honestly i need a couple days to really make sure that late dining will be ok -- eating dinner sooooo late?? anyone else from our time zone have a thought to share?

Hey - gotta love it - the 'ol parents can't be the blame on this one

Can't wait to see the design for our shirts. Noticed there are steins even for the beer loving ones :cool1:

Oh yeah - I'll be back in a couple of days to see what dining rotation we picked :rotfl:

Molli,

I "hear" you!! We are from PA and this does seem a bit of a stretch and although I didn't officially call (knowing that getting late is easier than getting back our original early) I am going to go with the flow based on the group's opinion!

I was concerned about my kids but after much counseling from the group I realized they could snack and/or eat and run... and we can all enjoy either way... the stress of getting back on the boat to get dressed for dinner and even worse having to have the last breakfast at the crack of dawn didn't seem worth it...

MY main concern is that we will crash right after dinner from imbibing periodically during the day and the eating a big meal rather than eating and then imbibing heavily during the night! therefore missing out on the evening's fun :rotfl2:

However, it sounds like we will have a lot of fun and it seems doubtful that we'll be passing out on the dance floor :dancer: as I'm sure that there will be at least ONE person egging us on!!! :rotfl:

Sherri,

There were a few days last year our kids put themselves to bed after dinner! We then had the evening to ourselves. They only did that twice, but once they got their bellies full, they were cashed. I'm curious with all of us in the same area in the dining room if that will spice things up a bit for them.

I'm in Philly this week, sitting in my hotel room now, cruising the dis boards. Only two weeks till we head to WDW!!

Doug

Hey guys, I did it.....I pulled the trigger and baught a boat!!! Yesterday the girls and myself (and the usual 5-6 boys) crusised the pontoon around and when I went to pick up Kim I got the "I don't do mini vans and pontoons" :rotfl2: So yes, today I went and signed on the dotted line.....still haven't told Kim yet, think that's a problem? :confused3 80's and sunny yesterday.....AWSOME........For all you Northern Disers sailing with us, the tan come back MUCH faster after getting some color in November and December.......

She looks like a beaut!

Mine is a Champion Bass Boat. 19 ft with a 175 Mercury outboard. I only get out a couple of times per year these days. Really hauls tail. (Gotta be first to the fishin hole, ya know!)

Now you have to change your DIS name to Captain Ron!

W

:rotfl2: @ Willie.........We have some "fishing" guys like you.....I call them the "hurry up and stop" guys.......Our lake is only 196 acres......so I'm sure the fish will be there 5 mins later.....LOL The marina I purchased it at sell "nitros" also........

Where are you staying?? Normally I work in the "clothespin" building (across from city hall) but today and tomorrow I'm working in a different office! Which is GREAT since it is only 20 min. from my home rather than the 90 minute commute.

Sherri

Lampskies-Congrats on your boat purchase.I am sure Kim will love it.You all enjoy!

Everyone have a great weekend!

Maria

if i was Kim i'd be TOTALLY ok with your purchase Ron; b/c what goes around comes around :earseek:

molli

Thanks all.......I actually broke the news to her last night.......I got "that look" then when she saw the brochure she was happy......You know the saying "he who dies with the most toys wins!" Let's see.....I think I'm winning!!

I think that is the only drink I never tried! Oh well, something to look forward to! I am not real big on mint leaves, though.

Anyone design us a shirt yet?

Willie

I know I asked this before but since no one replied... I figured I'd give it another shot... do you all have passports? Is it worthwhile (less hassle) to get one? Or who will NOT be traveling with a passport.

Thanks so much!

Sherri

We do not have them... and not sure I want to put out the bucks if it isn't necessary.

Sherri, we aren't planning on buying passports for this trip. (If it's not mandatory until 2006, we want to spend that $$ on cruise souveniers! LOL!)

We're using our birth certificates. :earsgirl:

my DH has a passport for work; but the rest of us will be using birth certificates. I agree that if it's not necessary we won't purchase :)

beeeuuuuttiful day here in ohio!!! enjoy your weekend everyone
molli

Kim has a passport but the rest of us have used birth certs. We are going to try and find a day where we can go and get one.....I heard they are going to change the application process in 2006 and I'm sure it's not to make it easier.... :rotfl2:
