Mollie,

Nope, no thread killed here :) just enjoying the ssssuummmmerrrrrrr! Not home and not inside much.

Off to WDW for 9 days; followed by 7 days fishing in Wisconsin and we wrap up the summer with 10 days in CO.

I was starting to wonder myself what had happened to this thread.

Glad everyone's enjoying their summer. Let me tell you, it's some type of HOT here in Dallas right now! I've lived here all my life (47 years!) and know too well that when it's THIS hot this early, we're in for a long stifling, hot, humid summer. DD is about to go crazy w/summer boredom as she's used to playing outside much of the time but doesn't last very long right now. Can't say I blame her. Wish I was on CC right now. I could 'cool off' really fast! :earsgirl:

Why is it that those two days just zip-it-e-doo-daa right by? It was a humid, hot and rainy day in OH today. At least the flowers are looking refreshed!

Just wanted to mention that we got our passports in the mail Sat and I was thinking - man, that was fast - opened up and phooey it was our old ones we sent in for renewal - DH wrote the check for the wrong amount so - we have to resend - if anyone is applying make sure you add in all the "extra" fees, too. I swear we looked everywhere on the original application for the $ amount they said it needed to be, and NEVER did find that amount stated anywhere..... we followed the new set of instructions and I hope it works this time :rolleyes1

I know Molli asked the procedure for us to "switch" to late dining -
we have made the FINAL decision to switch to late seating!! now -- how is this best done, let Ron's girlfriend take care of it and then let our TA know; or let our TA know first to switch our seating and then Ron's girl will link us with you????
Any advice ?

I would call and switch it myself, just to make sure.

I guess Lampy must be on vacation somewhere, too. Kinda quiet without him around!

Hey John, are you 5 J's still onboard with us? Have not heard from you guys in a while.

Yeah, pretty warm here in East Texas, also. Spent the weekend doing not much of anything but swimmming and BBQ'ing!

Is anyone designing us a T-shirt? If not, I will try to.

We got a cool wedding invite this weekend. It came in the mail, and was a message in a bottle. Had sand and tiny shells inside. Kelli's brother is getting married in Cancun in September. Pretty cool idea for an invite. They said they used messageinabottle.com

Gotta get some work done this week.

Willie

Hey all.....ya I'm still here, just been swamped with stuff. Had Allis family party yesterday, 70 people showed up!! Bean bags, horseshoes, golfcarting and boating going on ALL DAY yesterday! Indiana is a dry state on Sunday....good thing that "pop machine" was stocked with the 650 cans of beer last week :drinking1 :rotfl2:

HOT here in Pennsy also!!! Kid's school called to say they are closing 1/2 tomorrow because of the heat!

Well I thought I was all hooked up and the person I spoke to said I was but I just checked my reservations on-line and it still has me listed for early seating. I sent DCL an e-mail and got a standard response about sizes of tables yada yada... and that I should check when I get on board???????? :confused3

As we get closer I will call my "girlfriend" and make sure all of us who are going are linked. Just link us and I'll have them e-mail or fax me verifications.

I never did get to read th entire thread. just what did a "HANNAME" turn out to be?

ok - I emailed our TA for my parents and our dining to changed to late and link with Ron's (name and ressie #) Our TA is inkognito so i know she'll understand the importance of it all :)

Ohmom, Barb knows who i am and how to get a hold of me, you'll be fine.

I think the dining room is going to be one BIG table. We are going to have to pop in just to see the spectacle. So how many does that make now?

Jeff

Buddybear I stopped counting a week or so ago. But we are well into the 50's and it looks like we'll easily be in the 60's :cool1:

Have Mercy!! :rotfl: Those servers won't know what hit them!!! They'll think it must have been Hurricane DIS.... :rotfl2: One of ya'll will have to post from the ship to keep us landlubber lurkers up on the crazy antics of the Turkey Cruise 2005.

We had a great time at WDW last week...lots of relaxing and rain everyday, but who cares...we just kept on going. :umbrella:

Willie, a big ol' Texas BBQ? MMMMM!!!! Sounds like a good way to start the summer!

We'll ya'll take care!

I have been hoping that some of you creative types would design us a Turkey Day Cruise T shirt.......

I think that is a great idea. We always like to have matching shirts for the embarkation photo so we are in on that. Not sure I am the most creative but my wife and daughter are. I mention it to them.

WMILLER86-We were sure you and Lampskies would come out with a great design.

The t-shirt idea is a great idea.We are all for it.

Hey, is it too early to ask when and where we should have the DIS'ers meet? :duck: Okay! Okay! I'm just ASKING!

It's 95 degrees in Dallas right now (yeah, right, Texans know how hot that REALLY is, if one factors in the heat index!)

I'm sitting in my house with all of the shades drawn (to keep the heat out,) and fantasizing about a strawberry margarita in the Promenade lounge (because it's COOL in there!) :drinking1

I'll be happy to meet anywhere. :sunny: Just having one of those days in which I'm ansty to be on the cruise! (As if I don't feel that way almost every day! :rotfl2: )

Great question! I always love to talk about our last cruise!

Last Turkey Cruise we met first at the sailaway party on the deck right above the sailaway party. We were on the dock side so that we could watch the party, and wave bye to shore, also. It was nice that we were right by the portable bar that was set up. But it ran out of Miller lite in about 30 minutes. (Lampy was there. Enough said.) We would visit, run down and dance, run back up, etc.
Most of us were wearing lime green. My family wore our DIS Board lime green shirts that we got here at the DIS online store.

We also met each nite after dinner in either Diversions, or headed to Rockin Bar D for 70's nite and 80's nite. That was where "Ron Bon Jovi" made his appearance.

We also did some DIS group Palo brunches, but could only do 6 per table.

The last nite of the cruise, we brought a few bottles of wine, and met for a last toast of a great, great vacation week. I will remember the friends I made on that cruise for as long as I live. From the first meet at sailaway, it was as if we had all known each other for years.
It was great wearing the lime green. Easy to recognize folks.

Willie

I like the idea of the lime green shirts. What is the online DIS store? Are they still available to order? If not, I DO have a lime green WDW t-shirt.
