November 19, 2005 Thanksgiving Magic Cruise

I thought I was all ready and now the panic sets in...no sun block, did not have ds sandals, no hair products or moisturizer! The carry on stuff is totally out of control. I feel like I have enough camera equipment for a CNN documentary! Not to mention the 50 pound box of wine. I need a husband and more kids to haul stuff. NO on second thought... Should have hired a nanny or pack mule to come along. This is nuts!!!

I'm sure some of this stuff can be purchased on board (for high $$, but oh well). I wasn't going to bring wine, but I decided to change my carry on to a rolling suitcase and will pack 2-3 bottles that I have here. my DH is a pack mule, so if you see us in port just holler and we'll help you out. Remember, big bald guy with family. My DD is SUPER oud and easy to spot also. I was a single mom for almost 6 years so I know how it is. I'm still very independent after 13 yrs. of marriage and have a hard time asking for help, but if you need anything we are on the same deck and I have too much sunscreen, hair product, mosturizer, etc. Godd luck!!!!

I am a procrastinator as well...I am still doing laundry and then I will pack. However, I did remember to take Mason's clothes out of his room before he went to sleep!! Everything would be fine if I didn't have to attend a mediation tomorrow morning!! Oh well!!

Thanks! It would be hard to believe that I could have possible left anything out now...I have gone on 2 month trips with a carry on bag. This looks like I am moving. I will be like Ginger on Gilligan's Island.

OK...I have to go back and get myself up to date but here is my hopefully super paranoid last minute panic...

I just tripled checked our birth certs and this time opened to ensure I have each and every one...

so I'm looking at mine which of course has my maiden name.... HELP... do I need some proof of marriage??????????????????????????????

I have to get my Thanksgiving food ready for my ds class. I don't think I will ever be room mom again. I have not had much interest in it lately. I really don't know how my ds can keep his mind on school. I would have been in trouble if I was in school. :thewave:

P.S..... what do the guys do to get ready for the trip???? I assigned mine "remember the nail clippers" and "label the luggage" LOL... I see my DD labeling the luggage... I did find toe nail clippers in the pile though!!

Not sure, I would call DCL. I am glad to see I am not the only paranoid one. I have passports, birth cert., my husband past away 3 years ago and I have to have a death certificate. I have checked it all over and over. I think I am developing ocd.

Does your license have your maiden name on it?I would think you could use that as proof.

I am so nuts! I have red hair and wanted highlights. I went yesterday and to me it looks so blonde! Then today I had my pinky-white freckled skin air brushed in this Malibu Barbie color. I just saw a glimps of my self and jumpped out of my skin! WHO IS THAT????

I'm doing a pretty good job on this bottle of wine. I could probably finish it off but I'd be sorry when my alarm goes off tomorrow.....at least it won't be 3:15AM!!!!!!

that is terrible, I'm so sorry to hear that! I remember when we travelled 2 yrs. ago to Mexico. My oldest sons father has never really been around much and in order for us to leave the country we needed a court order stating I was the sole custodial parent (we never went to court so i didn't have it), a notarized letter from him saying it was ok for us to take my son out of the country or a death certificate. When I called him to tell hom what I needed and I gave him the 3 options he said "well, I now which one YOU want..." it was pretty funny, maybe you had to be there...

I'm not positive, but I have been to Mexico a few times with my birth certificate and current license and never had a problem with the names being different. I think you should be OK. I guess there isn't much you could do now anyway, right?!?!?!?!?
