that is terrible, I'm so sorry to hear that! I remember when we travelled 2 yrs. ago to Mexico. My oldest sons father has never really been around much and in order for us to leave the country we needed a court order stating I was the sole custodial parent (we never went to court so i didn't have it), a notarized letter from him saying it was ok for us to take my son out of the country or a death certificate. When I called him to tell hom what I needed and I gave him the 3 options he said "well, I now which one YOU want..." it was pretty funny, maybe you had to be there...

Does your license have your maiden name on it?I would think you could use that as proof.

I'm not positive, but I have been to Mexico a few times with my birth certificate and current license and never had a problem with the names being different. I think you should be OK. I guess there isn't much you could do now anyway, right?!?!?!?!?

I went to mexico right after we were married so I'm pretty sure my drivers license still had my maiden name too...

thanks all for helping... I'm going to have to go with Gina and call DCL and be SCARED to hear the answer... we got our marriage license at PONO FISH MARKET IN HAWAII... I haven't a clue where it is... and yes that was FISH MARKET.. when they told us that was where we had to go I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry...

Your welcome!There is no sense worrying about it,so I would just call DCL.Luckily we have passports still good from when we went to Germany.I am a US citizen,but I am also cuban.Passport makes it easier all the way around for us.Now,you have a great memory from where you got your marriage licnese from.
