November 17, 2013 - 4-night Dream Cruise to Bahamas

Definitely count us in for the FE!!

We participated on our last cruise and we had a blast doing it Our girls are 6 and 3 (and very excited three year old will be old enough to go into the kids club this time!)

Is anyone willing to take on the organizing of the FE? It's my first cruise on DCL and 2nd cruise overall so I've never taken part in one before.

We are going on this cruise and it will be our first ever!
Staying in Port Orleans for 10 night prior.
There will be be myself, DD aged 23 and her boyfriend aged 23, my brother and sister in law. I also foster in the UK, so will also hopefully have some little ones, but won't know until nearer the date, currently fostering a 10minth old boy, not sure if he will be with me then.

I am in for the fish thing! Sounds like a blast, good excuse for me to shop! Not exactly sure what it is so will need help!

It will be great to all meet up, especially the little ones!

We have three out of four birthdays in November. Mine will be on the cruise, my dh's is the day before (we'll be in Orlando) and my dd is the day after the cruise so I told her that for this year only we are changing her birthday to officially be on the 20th so she can celebrate on the cruise.

My girls are not into princesses at all! I have been encouraging them that it's ok to not want to be a princess but to still like them because I keep reading about Princess sightings on the ship. They did decide that on semi formal night they will dress up (youngest as Tangled, oldest as Merida from Brave) but the rest of the time they will be less than dainty! LOL I'm sure your son will find lots of things for him to do - hopefully some more people will join this thread soon and maybe he can find a friend before the cruise. Are you going to be in Orlando before the cruise at all?

I'm just across the mountains from you! I'm in Vancouver (well burnaby actually).

My first fiancé (20 year old young love didn't last lol) was from Calgary and my husband is from Edmonton so I've spent lots of time in good ole Alberty!

This is our first DCL cruise (2nd overall) and we can't wait!

The FE is basically like a secret Santa exchange. Outside of each cabin is a wall plaque of sorts with a fish that is like a clip. It's where you get mail and other misc info from the ships crew I believe. A fish extender is like a pocket organized that you would hang from the fish (you can make one, buy a personalized one from etsy or eBay or get an actual pocket organizer from somewhere like ikea and decorate it).

People sign up for the fe in this thread and I'll compile a list of all the participants with everyone's info (gender, age, favorite disney characters etc) and we all decide if we want to do a cabin gift or individual gifts or both (my preference would be both because I think we'll have a nice manageable sized group with lots of kids). At some point during the cruise you would walk around the ship and deliver your gifts. Hopefully everything you come back to your cabin you'll see that someone has visited and left you a little something.

I think I've covered everything but I've never done one before so if anyone else has and has anything to add or change feel free.

My kids and I are planning on making ours and we have some ideas for the gifts so far
