November 14, 2010 4 Night Bahama Cruise

I have a question, to anyone who can answer this for me. I will be booking our Cruise within the next week! (Yay) What happens if closer to the cruise, the price for the exact same room drops in price? Do they give me the difference? Do I have to cancel my reservation and rebook at the new price? I would love your feedback and your knowledge in the area. Thank you so much!

Not that it's happened to me but if I remember correctly...I remember reading about that on the boards :surfweb: and you should receive the price difference although I am not 100% sure...any one else like to chime in on this?

If I recall correctly, the price did drop on one of our cruises after we booked. Our travel agent was in contact with Disney and we did receive the difference back. This was a few years ago, but I believe still applies since it was mentioned by our agent when we were booking this cruise.

Congratulations on the cruise & the upcoming wedding! Nothing beats a Disney Cruise!!! My sister and brother in law just booked this cruise with us as well, it's their first Disney cruise too. :thumbsup2

Yay for first timers! We will be spending 4 nights at the Poly after our cruise. I received an email for FREE dining with a four night stay at a moderate or deluxe, so we booked our cruise and land portion separately, since you cannot get dining with the land and sea package. My future wifey and I are really excited to experience a disney cruise. Perhaps we'll meet some friendly DISers on the cruise!

We love the Polynesian, it's our favorite on-site resort. We loved being able to go to the beach and watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks at night. Hopefully we'll see you onboard!

We've stayed at a few resorts on property, but we have yet to stay at the Polynesian and experience it. Thanks for the reminder about being able to walk to the beach and watch Wishes. We booked an Oceanview Stateroom for the cruise, but there's always to hoping that we could get "magically upgraded" to a Oceanview Stateroom with Veranda since it's our honeymoon! :)

Does anyone know how they do the seating? We picked the 2nd seating so that we don't have to rush back to the ship, get ready for dinner, etc. We'll have time to relax a bit, then head to dinner. I know your waiter(ess) follows you at every sitting, but how do we know where to sit the first time? Are the tables done by stateroom, or just where ever you sit the first night. Sorry for rambling, I was just confused on how that all worked out.

Oops, sorry, I didn't see your question. When we checked in for our last cruise, our door key cards/charge keys (Key to the World - DCL version) listed which seating (S1 early, S2 late), dining room rotation, and table number. We also had tickets (like movie tickets) in our stateroom the first day that listed the information. We took the ticket to dinner on the first evening and we were seated at the appropriate table. Each night we sat at the same table number with the same guests in the assigned dining room, and our servers met us there. The "tickets" weren't needed after the first night (the info is on the KTW card, so you can always show that when arriving at the dining room). I believe the same procedure is still used?

If I remember correctly on our cruise last May...it worked the same for us :thumbsup2

Hello everyone! Today marks exactly 5 months to go for our cruise!!! Can't wait!!! :cool1:

Hi everyone!

We're counting down the days and we're just about 9 days until we can book excursions, Palo, etc., at 120 days out. Yay!!

What are your plans for the cruise? We're thinking lots of spa time, Castaway Cay and much relaxation!

So you get to book at 120 days out? How lucky!! Our opens up 90 days out on August 16th. Is that because you've been on a certain amount of Disney Cruises?

We are hitting Disneyworld for a week prior to our cruise so we plan to relax as well to recoup but with our 2 kids I don't know if we'll get much  Definitely looking forward to Castaway Cay!! We've never been to Palo...do you think we should try it out?

This is our very first Disney cruise (and my very first cruise overall). We're celebrating Greg's birthday, so we decided to splurge and book concierge suite. That's why we get to book 120 days out.

We definitely plan on hitting Castaway Cay! Our relaxation will come BEFORE the crazy pace of WDW because Greg wanted to spend his actual birthDAY in the Magic Kingdom. So on disembarkation day, it's straight to MK for us!

We've never been to Palo either, but it sounds like something we want to try! We're both excited about Animator's Palette, too. What a cool concept. We can't wait to see it!

Will you all be dressing up for the Pirate party? We're debating whether to dress up or just have fun checking out all of the cool costumes. Do your kids like to do the character meet and greets?
