I wonder if the Palo prices went up with the debut of the Dream, so that everything is consistent?

I think they went up to $20 at the beginning of the year.

Yes it would be nice to know soon how many are participating. I am very organised and usually do not leave things at the last minute. And there is a lovely local artisans faire this weekend, and if I found something to give, I just wouldn't know how many to buy!

I've already started buying my stuff and just planned on about a dozen. I figure if there are more than that then I'll just do something more simple for those that sign up later. If it turns out that a dozen is too many, I'll find others to give it to around here.

I think we should officially cut off new sign ups a month prior to the cruise so that we have ample time.

A month cut off is great. I think this year I am just so much more disorganized. Generally I know what is happening each day of the cruise, but this time, I can never remember what days what activities and what day we will be at what port.

Okay...didn't think about doing the FE, as I'm probably the most uncreative person ever... But I do think my kids would love it....can someone give me a quick overview of how it works...when do u leave gifts? What's the easiest way to make a FE? I know that there are some threads with gift ideas... Anything else I need to know?

Don't need to be creative, candy, something cute from home town (postcard or keychain). Also no set day to deliver and no schedule and you can do as much as you want or can do.

If that post doesn't answer your specific questions, let me know and I'll fill you in where I can. As far as making a FE, do you sew? I made mine (pictured on page 10 of this thread) and I just used some fabric and bias tape to do the edging. I made mine with 4 pockets because that's how I've seen them done. I know there is a thread on FEs on the DCL fact thread that is at the top of the DCL forum (it's a sticky). Anyway, I just looked at pics from others and made mine up, although I did follow dimensions that someone had listed. I don't have access to my FE right now, but I can measure it and let you know if you want me to.

We've decided that you can choose when you want to leave the gifts, that way you don't have to stick to any schedule and you can do it when it is most convenient for you. I don't think we'll have a very large group, so hopefully they can be spaced out a bit instead of all on the first day at sea (maybe if you notice that you've gotten several gifts one day, save yours for a different day). You can do one gift per person or one for the family--it just depends on what you want to do and some gifts lend themselves better to group gifts than others do.

You also don't have to be creative to participate. Store bought or homemade, doesn't matter. It can be something Disney, something geared towards our cruise, something fun from your hometown, something for kids, it really is up to you. Hope that helps! I logged on to disneycruise line to check our reservation and apparently we are going to hawaii. I thought we were going to Mexico. Still trying to figure out how we are getting 15 days in that 7 day time frame.

We decided to stay at the Doubletree the 2 nights before the cruise and take part of the stay, cruise and park. I checked into the 30% off the PPH at Disneyland and it was still way to much money and then would have to pay for parking at the port.

Booked a Cabo snorkel adventure, do you know if the equipment is included? Are there any extra costs? We have our own masks and I wonder if I should bring them.

I would assume they would include it, but to guarentee fit, might be good to bring your own masks.

Welcome nat1914! We'd love to have you join the FE group. You need to do some more posting on the DISboards (here on our thread would be great, or on any of the forums) so that you can send a pm (private message) or email me with your info. I'll add you to the list so that we know you are planning on the FE swap. Is this your first cruise? Tell us about yourself. What questions do you have?

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been a little MIA the past while. We just got back from a trip to DL and now I can focus a bit more on the cruise. I've updated our FE list on page 10 of this thread, but I'll list it here as well (just know that the official and more updated list will always be on page 10)...

On or around October 13th I will email out the details of names, room numbers (if you don't have one assigned yet, you should get it around that time if not before), ages, how many people, etc.

We also have some cruisers who want us to come up with a name for our group so they can personalize the FE gifts and there have been a lot of suggestions. What is the general consensus? Mickey's WONDERful Fiesta, Fiesta Time on the Wonder, WONDERful Fiesta with Mickey? It seems like most like the Fiesta idea. You can look back a few pages to see the rest of the suggestions (sorry, I don't have time to compile that right now).

It is a surprise for my three kids, although my oldest, DD13, was in my email and found out but so far we've still manage to keep it from the younger two, DS10 and DD9. We have only cruised the MR but this is the kids first time.

Have a few questions so here goes...

Wondering about the high tea at Palo? Skip or go?
Excursions? Suggestions?
In Cabo I wanted the snorkle at chileno bay but im too late its booked up curios if there is a way to DIY once on shore...
For P.V. also open for suggestions...

New to the thread... I'll be joining all of you with my DH, DS - 7 and DS - 4. This is our 2nd Disney Cruise - we actually did the exact same cruise back in February - loved it!! Just booked the Pirate excursion in PV... was sold out last time by the time we tried to book it. Not sure what we're doing in Cabo yet... any suggestions?

We also booked the pirate adventure (my sone will love it)....what was the temp like when you were there in Feb.?

Hey our daughters are the same age. Kind of nice there will be some kids about the same age on the cruise from our group. Lise's daughter is close in age as well.

We are doing the Tea on Saturday for DH Birthday. We have never done it before, but some people like it. I think everyone prefers spending their Palo time at Brunch or Dinner. But we thought we would give it a try.

We are doing the Paradise Beach break at PV. There has been lots of good reviews and I know when we went to Cozumel, we had a great Breach break and DD wants to repeat that experience. I think Mexico knows how to treat you well at the beach breaks.

For Cabo, we had a harder time picking things out. but will probably just do a Dolphin Swim with DD and MIL.
