November 13, 2011 Mexico on the Wonder

I'm franticly putting things together. I'm a vintage/antique dealer and I have a huge show that I load in for tomorrow and runs Friday through Sunday. Couple that with getting the kidlet ready for this cruise and I'm a WRECK! He still doesn't know.

We're going to have Mickey call and tell him about the trip TONIGHT!!

Good luck with all of your busy work...I'm done with all of my heavy lifting. Just gotta do the packing now.

I know it'll all get done. Thankfully, I have my uber organized mother to help. She's out with William now so I can prep my merchandise! I have the Disney Cruise DVD playing while I steam dresses and sweaters. My assistant was supposed to come today, but she had some family issues so she had to cancel.

This morning we had our parental consent forms notarized!

I'll admit it kinda does stink to research and plan so many things that I won't be experiencing. I'm so happy for my son and parents though. They're going to have a wonderful time.

Hopefully I've convinced my mom to bring William to the meet up on the first day. She'll be the one who has never been on the Dis with a wild and crazy 4 year old boy!

It is quiet over here. I'm trying to just stay afloat with household stuff and I've thought about packing (but haven't done any yet). I got the fish extenders made and I need to package up my gifts. Can't believe we're sailing on Sunday!

Shauna aren't you leaving soon? We are leaving on Thursday afternoon I have almost everything laid out and now just to figure out how to get them into Suitcases and what truly isn't needed. But I have been stalling on doing this. So much going on. I still have to work on Thursday.

Here is how the surprise went down....

The call from Mickey came and I handed the phone to William. He was so amazed that Mickey was on the phone, he didn't pay any attention to what he said.

A moment later, there was a knock on the door. There was a package waiting with a big Mickey head mylar balloon tied to it. Well, you would've thought that the balloon was the surprise. He was so nutty about the balloon, he really didn't care about anything else.

We had fun going through the presents "Mickey" sent which included a pirate outfit and a lanyard full of pins, but mostly he just played with the balloon

Great ideas getting him ready for the trip...we're doing the phone call tonight. I hope it goes smoothly with two kids trying to talk at the same time.

We leave early Friday. Typically we pack the day before and not much earlier. I'm doing laundry right now so that we can hopefully pack the clothes and such tonight. DH takes forever to pack and I have to pack for 3 now, so I really don't want to wait until tomorrow (need to get a good night's sleep because we have to leave for the airport EARLY and have a full day at Disneyland on Friday).

Love it. Sounds just like a 4 year old! Mine gets excited if there is bubble wrap in a package and she doesn't care what gift may be in there as well. Did you have someone call and pretend to be Mickey or do the Disney Character call or what?

Hi.. we are meeting 3pm on Sunday in the promenade Lounge.y.. It is on Deck 3. From the Lobby head towards Aft and you will see it... Promenade lounge is right behind Triton's.


It is quiet... I have my bags packed and we are going to leave this evening heading west.

YAY!!! What a fun trip we had..Ugh Im still doing laundry and wishing I could order room service! Thank you everyone for the awesome gifts they really helped make this trip extra special!

Sorry we didn't make it to the meet & greet (for some reason that 21st day was crazy).

Loved the cruise, the staff, and the entire package.

Booked the Fantasy for the same week next year (the kids are gonna get used to having their birthdays on a Disney ship).

We had such a blast! I am also sorry I missed the M&G - it was so nutty that first day!

My kids LOVED the FE gifts - thank you so much, everyone. It was truly wonderful. We re-booked for the Magic for 5 nights on May 18...can't wait! The after-cruise letdown sucks, so it's nice to have another one to look forward to!
