We're in Memphis, TN and had people say they felt it. I sit in an earthquake resistant building though, so it kind of shakes and bounces anyways, so I wouldn't have noticed,

We felt it at work!!! We only live about 2 1/2 hours from the epicenter I thought it was kinda cool though If it had been more severe then that would have been a whole new ball game!!!

short intro -
this is our first ever cruise you r gonna love it -celebrating our 20th anniversary.congrats it's frankly not what i had in mind but we had already told the kids they could come so we short intro sorry for typos fumbling on ipad!
This is our first cruise ever - to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We decided we'd be happy only if the kids were happy and here we are. We have an 11yo ds and 9yo dd who are very excited.
I have a few questions if anyone can answer will try to
excursions - should we? Yes do we have to? No should we just explore on our own? Sure or any ideas for us -family of redheads so not too much sun and kids are not strong swimmers. Somewhat nervous about crime in mexico cozumel is safe very tourist friendly. The day in cozumel is our actual anniversary and i was hoping to do palo that night for dinner awesome idea make those reservations early like as soon as u can pre book and tell them its ur anniversary - how possible is that? Really don't want burgers and dogs or whatever on our big anniversary! Cozumel night is pirate night on ship, very cool alot of people dress up as pirates the menu is very good in dining rooms that night, and that evening at about 930ish they do fireworks off the boat with a show by pool, (so be out of palo by then u dont want to miss it also how hard is it to get spa reservations? The hardest is sea days in port its a little easier and usually they have in port specials, u will find out about on board
i was really hoping for this to be a relaxed and carefree anniv celebration it will be but now i remember disney anything is complicated! I am excited about the cruise but overwhelmed at the prep!

as for other ideas we do stingray city in grand cayman, we book w/ soto cruises its 35$ a person u go out on there boat to see and hold stingrays, its only waistdeep we go from 930am-1130 am so u still have rest of day to do whatever, like other said castaway is awesome!!! Just plan on beach, a bbq on beach (covered) lots of activities or nothing u choose, u can rent bikes or go for walk, there is a teen area, kids area, family area, and adult area!!
We've been to cozuml many times we just get off walk around a bit at the shops, the grab lunch at carlos and charlies and head back to boat, to relax and get anap before all evening fun(pirate nite)
u may want to look into buying a disney cruise passporter book, awesome info they have a website or amazon like 15$ the new one just came out!!

Gift Exchange Info

Meet & Greet in the Promenade Lounge Deck 3 at 3:00pm on Embarkation Day!!!!
We will meet in the Promenade Lounge at 3:00pm before the muster drill and sail-away to get to know one another briefly, put names to faces, and for those of you who would like to participate, we will also have a gift exchange!

Here's how it works:
Each family will bring a small gift to represent the area they are from, aka their hometown/state For example you could bring something from a local store like maybe a trinket from an artist in your hometown or if you are into sports bring something to represent your favorite home team. Last cruise on DCL, the gift I received was from a very sweet lady from Texas, she brought some local spices & coffee, along with a little Texas BBQ cookbook. It was really cool! It's just a simple gift nothing extravagant, that is unless you wanna give me a free cruise

No seriously just something light and fun.

At the meet & greet, I will have name-tags to hand out where we will put our DIS name along with our real name, so that we can identify one another easily Then for each person or family who has brought a gift, when you come in find me, I will be handing out some lei's & up at the bar looking like I am in charge : Also I'll be wearing a name-tag At that point I'll write down your name & put it into a bowl/hat for the drawing part. I will also jot your name down on a list of who is actually participating in the exchange. That way everyone who brings a gift will receive one in return You hang onto your gift and have a seat, get to know some other people, have a drink, just relax

Around 3:30pm, which should give everyone enough time to mosey on down, we will begin the exchange I will call a name from the list and that person will come up pull a name from the drawing pool and exchange gifts with the person whose name they have drawn.

Very simple lots of fun and it ensures that each person who brings shall receive And no one is pressured into bringing something, it's completely up to each family, but please do come and hang out with us either way!!!

Can't wait! It's gonna be sooooo much fun!!

I am getting so excited. I bought a new formal dress last night. Now, of course, I need new shoes to match!

I called DCL last night. They said that CC is fine.

I haven’t been able to book a Palo’s brunch. I’m really hoping they’ve held some back at will release them later. I REALLY don’t want to spend the first hour on the ship in a line at the Rocken D. OK, maybe not an hour, but it would seem that way.

My friend just got off the Dream and said that it was very beautiful but too big and too crowded especially at CC. She said that she got to the CC beach at 9am and had a lot of trouble finding 3 beach chairs. She said that the Aquaduck was so busy she never did get to ride it. She much prefers the Magic and Wonder.

I'm kind of torn between the ships thing. I've only been on the smaller ships, and I do HATE crowds. BUT the Fantasy has some pretty cool stuff that I'd love to checkout. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet, still debating on booking a cruise onboard, and what/where to do it.
