GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Today, I'm going to start on my FE gifts.

I'll make sufficient for 25 cabins, just in case. Usually, I do one per cabin, but since there are so few of us (and I have so much time on my hands ) I might make stuff for a couple of rounds.

On the WBTA, there were 66 total cabins, and I went round twice. Some of the doors are so FUN and some of the FE's are very creative. One single gentleman, an elementary teacher and zoo camp counselor, made Crush out of a shoe box! If it wasn't such a pain to post photos on here, I'd put up a couple of the better ones.

IS anyone doing a WDW stay in conjunction with this cruise?

We will be in WDW before the cruise, we get in on Nov 3rd. Super excited about the Food and Wine Festival.

We got our refund the first part of the week, only $20.88 for us since it's just the two of us But was excited just the same, hey that's at least 2 DOD!!!! And it was due to a decrease in taxes, I called DCL to confirm

OH and FYI Florida got its first cool front this weekend we are in the low 80's!! but its only supposed to last a couple days, i know for most of the country thats like super warm, but for us Floridians its like woohooo!!!!!

Yep FE's are now officially closed and I will post the a version of the final list. The list will include the final count of cabins participating just remember since some people are waiting for cabin assignments the actual FINAL UPDATED VERSION will be posted on Tuesday November 8th. That is the final day I will be accessing the boards, so keep that in mind. Hopefully we'll get all the cabin numbers by then if I haven't received your info by then you will be dropped from the FE list for my final update. Keep in mind there will be no more cabins added to the list, however at any time if someone needs to drop it PLEASE let me know so I can remove you from the list.

We didn't even get to 60 here because of the wind it was low 50's all day and cloudy. Perfect soup weather though!

Another chilly rainy morning in the great northeast. Can't WAIT for Florida!

We went to Vermont yesterday to buy DH some new ski boots. The amount of devastation due to the flooding after Irene was just amazing. One road had just reopened over a month later, where a 200 foot section had just been washed into the stream. Boulders everywhere. Some roads are still closed.

I am SO grateful to be going about my business as usual, and looking forward to this cruise rather than cleaning up after a disaster! Sorta puts my wynging about the weather in perspective.

Yesterday's panic was - where the heck is the black totebag with my passport in the pocket? Finally found it, folded in the pocket of my rollon, AFTER I called the sheriff, the airline, the airport . . .

We have a new room number. We are now 8566. We were at Disney this past weekend for the 40th and MNSSHP. Bromley was up super early Sunday morning so I took him out to see animals, walk around, and just explore so Justin and Carrington could sleep in. We saw the DCL bus picking up. It got me so excited. Such a pretty bus.

Gift Exchange Info

Meet & Greet in the Promenade Lounge Deck 3 at 3:00pm on Embarkation Day!!!!
We will meet in the Promenade Lounge at 3:00pm before the muster drill and sail-away to get to know one another briefly, put names to faces, and for those of you who would like to participate, we will also have a gift exchange! If you are participating in the gift exchange please be in the Promenade Lounge no later than 3:15. We will begin drawing names at that time!!!

Here's how it works:
Each family will bring a small gift to represent the area they are from, aka their hometown/state For example you could bring something from a local store like maybe a trinket from an artist in your hometown or if you are into sports bring something to represent your favorite home team. Last cruise on DCL, the gift I received was from a very sweet lady from Texas, she brought some local spices & coffee, along with a little Texas BBQ cookbook. It was really cool! It's just a simple gift nothing extravagant, that is unless you wanna give me a free cruise

No seriously just something light and fun!!

At the meet & greet, I will have name-tags to hand out where we will put our DIS name along with our real name, so that we can identify one another easily Then for each person or family who has brought a gift, when you come in find me, I will be handing out some lei's & up at the bar looking like I am in charge : Also I'll be wearing a name-tag At that point I'll write down your name & put it into a bowl/hat for the drawing part. I will also jot your name down on a list of who is actually participating in the exchange. That way everyone who brings a gift will receive one in return You hang onto your gift and have a seat, get to know some other people, have a drink, just relax : )

Around 3:30pm, which should give everyone enough time to mosey on down, we will begin the exchange I will call a name from the list and that person will come up pull a name from the drawing pool and exchange gifts with the person whose name they have drawn.

Very simple lots of fun and it ensures that each person who brings shall receive And no one is pressured into bringing something, it's completely up to each family, but please do come and hang out with us either way!!!

Can't wait! It's gonna be sooooo much fun!!

IS anyone doing a WDW stay in conjunction with this cruise?

We found out that other family members have decided to join the cruise. They will be spending a week in WDW prior to the cruise. Unfortunately it was too hard to get more time off of work in order to go as well. However, we aren't flying back to Canada until the 20th, so if things work out with disembarking, we may spend the 19th in the Magic Kingdom, just to squeeze one park in.

Port canaveral is increasing the parking rates this week. so if anyone is driving and leaving a car there be warned.... for our cruise it will cost $120 to park

im gonna check out park and cruise its supposed to be cheaper and they will take you over to port its 5 min fr port....

Remember, the Radisson, Marriot, and Country Inn & Suites have shuttles and let you park at their hotels for free. A night's stay probably costs the same as parking but so much more relaxing.

Has anyone figured out the real reason for this, or how it's calculated??

My MIL got the $20.88, I got $23.06 and I have two rooms booked??

I'm not complaining, but it seems that there's a difference in who gets what?? I mean in the big picture of the cost of the cruise it's not much, but that's drinke at the meet and greet!!

Just discovered that November 10 - 20th is pirate week in Grand Cayman. That may mean a couple things - 1 - Georgetown may be more crowded than normal, and 2- there may be some special activities going on.

Can NOT wait!
