You are so invited to join our group...for whatever we stand.....???? not sure what our MO is!? Just havin' fun, I guess!

There seem to be lots of 6 y.o girls in our group, as well as 8 y.o boys! Am I wrong?

When I mentioned my "vote" above, I want to mention that we are open to anything! I like DISNEYCRUISE 11/12/05.....but it is more $$ to spell out 7 Nite DISNEYCRUISE 11/12/05? I kinda' like that even better but not at an additonal major increase in price for everyone.

In the grand sceme of life....when I handle life at its most purist form in sick premies.....I honestly don't care what we pick....as long as we pick something! Beleive me, I have perspective!

My kids can be throwing up and jumping off the furniture at the same time and I will not be much bothered......again, it's all perspective.

Welcome to our group FairyDisMom!! The more the merrier! I have a DD6 & a DS4, so I'm guessing that their paths will cross as time or two!

Chip&Dale&Fun, if you don't want to order the bands, I will. I'll probably work on it with DM & DF who have both been reading all these threads, but haven't taken the time to regiser yet

I'm up for almost anything on the bands. The date is definitely key though.

BTW - we booked our flights without the undecideds in the family. Next, I'll do the transportation (found out that it costs less to rent a car from the port to the airport than hiring a service for 6 people) & hotel. It actually feels like we are heading somewhere!! Of course, once I pay that final payment, then I'll really be obsessed. WAIT, I already am obsessed

How in the heck do you sort through all the excursion info? That will be hard to plan. Especially since we have one that is under 5 and an adult non-swimmer. I'm confident that we will find something that we all can do. It is just a matter of deciding.

whatever everyone else decides on the bracelets is fine with us-just as long as you get some small sizes for the kids (otherwise they will just fall off as they walk around). whoever organizes the purchaseing i would suggest they not use paypal since it charges a percentage for each deposit into your account and would thereby increase the cost for everyone. i would also suggest ordering sooner than later because the company will probably start getting their halloween orders in soon and it could delay mailing , it would probably be better to set an amount and date by which we all need to send our individual orders to you by personal check. as for receiving them, i think my kids would be much more excited to receive them on board at our first get together . speaking of get togethers, i have been reading on the boards that a means of getting more than one palo night is best achieved by booking online for a larger group size (some have done so for 4/6/8) and then having others you know on board do the same thing for a second night. is anyone interested in coupleing up for a couple of nights-please advise. i also understand that group (not sure how large) ressies. can be made for the brunch-this might be a great gettogether for all of us grownups. those of us with castaway club get to make our ressies. on line a bit earlier (unless we have a lucky conciege level traveler in our group who can book out even further)-is anyone interested in doing a group brunch? those of us with the earliest access to the online booking could book the maximum number, then if we need more spots others could book when they have access. along these same lines-is anyone in either the early or late seating interested in getting adjoining tables-we did this on our last cruise and it was great to be seating with our new dis friends. if you are interested in any of these ideas let me know and i will further investigate.

We have had several requests for children's sizes - and we have enough kids that I think we should order 20 of them. (I can wear a child's size and maybe others can, but I do not think we will have extra). Do we need both medium and large sizes as well?

We need some folk to weigh in on the favorite sayings - no hard feelings, just trying to break this tie...

And I was thinking that many of our cruisers post over the weekend, so we should give everyone a chance to think about the bracelets.

Hi Everyone! Closing in on 100 daze left for the cruise! Great idea about the wristbands....count us in.....oh...my sister won't be joining us for the cruise, she's expecting in Feb...but the good news is the refund lowered the amount we owe...so that's worked out for us, we still have the two adjoining rooms on deck 7....just one less adult to watch these guys !

We will need 2 adult bracelets, and 3 kids wristbands....any of the wording that was suggested is fine w/ me....

I will send the check, or paypal or whatever, when the decision is made as to how these are going to be ordered.

2 mediums for DH and I. Large seems pretty large...the actual dimensions are on their wedsite.....They seems to be for a large man?

I guess if people join us late they will be out of luck on the braclets? Maybe we will have a few left over?

Now we really all need to vote on having them before the cruise or get them dispersed when we embark? Mailing them out would be more complicated for sure...but maybe the majority wishes to do this?
I prefer to get them on the ship.

Disnurse - I am going to want a full report on how you manage to have kept the secret from your kids.....No problem hiding a few neon green wristbands amidst the other cruise clothing. (That's the real reason - right )Just kidding, on board is fine.

But, do you want to bet a drink (with a little umbrella in it) that this will be the time that both of them 8 and 6 - decide that they must help Mommy pack.

I think we need to start thinking of your answers to such questions like:

Why is Mommy packing my good dress and shoes if we are going to the beach at Ron Jon's

Why is Mommy packing all the clothes when she always tells me not to take (insert as appropriate) lots of stuff to sleepovers?

Why is Mommy putting the words Disney Magin Cabin 2---- on our suitcases?

Why is Mommy taking all her pretty dresses?

What's a passport and why do I need it to go to Florida?

ok - I don't have kids, so many the questions are not up to their average intelligence, but you get the drift.....

Hi All - I have been lurking but not posting much lately.

I love the green wristband idea. Great idea 4forMickey!! I prefer Disneymagic 11/12/05, but it is not that big a deal. I just think it is a great idea! We will need five adult's and two children's. I like the idea of sending a stamped self addressed envelope to have the bands sent to us before the cruise. That way, we can wear them while boarding, and be able to find each other ASAP. Also, if someone doesn't make the initial meet, they can be found by their fellow Dis'ers easily. On the other hand, if it is too much trouble for the person ordering and coordinating, I can completely understand.

We have booked airfare, and I have booked Quicksilver for transportation to the port. I looked at doing the one day car rental on either end of the trip, but we would need an eight passenger van for the seven of us, and I want to keep things really simple since we have mil and aunt along. If it was just the five of us, you can bet I'd be sending hubby over to that Budget Car Rental to save us a few bucks!! I am looking forward to leaving the driving to someone else. We are flying in late on Friday 11/11 and staying at the Hyatt at MCO. I would have done a cheaper hotel near the airport, but my husband's aunt will be flying in separately from Kentucky, probably earlier than us, and I want to keep it simple for her. I am planning on paying off the trip next week, so that I can make reservations 90 days out. The only excursion that I really have my heart set on is the 12 meter regatta. We are sailors, and that looks like a blast.

I'm so glad we have so many 6 year old girls in the group. My boys (11 & 8) will at least be in the lab together, but I am a little concerned about my daughter having to go to the club by herself. She makes friends very easily, and I know she will be fine once she has met some people, so it will be nice to have some girls her age to introduce her to right off the bat.

We are surprising the kids with the cruise. We have told my mil we are taking her, but we haven't told her that her sister will be joining us. We will surprise mil with her sister when we get to the Hyatt at MCO. I know she will be shocked and thrilled. They are very close, but only see each other about once a year.

Meeting outside of the theater sounds great to me.

Sizes
Reminderbands™ come in three sizes: large, medium, and child. The large bands are 8 3/8" around and will fit most adults and large-framed teenagers. The medium bands are 7 3/8" around and will fit most teenagers, small-framed women, and children. The child bands are 5 7/8" around and fit children 4-6 years old. They are not intended for children younger than four. The majority (75% - 80%) of our customers order the medium sized wristbands. Please see the spec table below for other measurements. If you would like a cut-out for measuring sizes on your wrist please print the Reminderband™ sizing page (Requires Microsoft Word).
