I was wondering the same thing......jeez.....guess summer is filled with busy times for people!

I have being really naughty and trying to justify ANOTHER fancy family vacation in May of 2006....this time to an all inclusive 5 star resort south of Cancun called Iberostar Paraisio Lindo Anyone heard of it? Top notch from what I can research! Can I really justify this trip in between my already booked 7 night DCL cruises?

I have got the Caribbean bug and it has bit me somethin' aweful!

i wondered where everybody was as well

we've just been hanging around the house for the most part. i will probably get working on planning a short trip in august at santa cruz beach boardwalk (hubby can't take any time off in july, and wants to keep amassing vacation time for the cruise/wdw trip). i also keep hitting the southwest site to see if they are selling beyond 10/28-i gotta get my airline tickets! beyond that we look forward to the 4th of july and going to our little town's firework display (it's illegal to use any private fireworks in the majority of california counties).

You can never have too many vacations! We go on at least 2 per year - would be more if my husband had more than 3 weeks of vacation a year!

Haley's 2nd birthday is the 5th of July so we're having her big party on Sunday. If it rains we're in big trouble - 50 people all inside my house!!!! So doing the no rain dance here!

We had a sombering thread this weekend on my other cruise....too many sad moments this past week and we realize you cannot recapture time lost by failing to enjoy what we have. Time with our family is precious -
If the budget allows (ie does not deprive one of shelter, or kids of college education) I say go for it!

You only pass this way but once...

I will pullin' extra shifts at the hospital as soon as the kids are back in school, as there will be no hardship done then....when mommy works "extra" to pay for this addicting vacation bug I have got. My husband just tonight asks, "okay, so are you done now?" ....I said.....well at least for the next 19 months or so!

I am convinced that you are not going to go to your grave thinking, "Darn it, I should have worked more and played less!"

Hello...yes! I did receive your email message and thanks again, chip&dale&fun! Hope you received mine back!
Last night I was up WAY too late reading my Passporter about excursions. Now I am on a role about going on the Golden Eagle Catamaran on St. Maarten! Sounds so great! I am a little leary of getting sea sick on these smaller vessels as I have probably already mentioned I turned GREEN off the coast of Hawaii on one. The reason that happened is when we were not sailing and just rocking there up and down and all around in the ocean while people were snorkeling. This trip off St. Maarten stops right by land and you can lounge on the beach if you want. The other great thing about it is shorter than some excursions and has two different options for times.....the later one would not be condusive with early seating, however. Our other option is to just a (cheaper) day at Great Bay Beach.

I am ready to start getting excited about the trip. We did not book shore excusions, as I rented a car for the round the island on your own concept. This has always suited our style. But, I am thinking of diving and will need to re-read the passport....Yippeeee.

Cannot wait until we are together.

We need to plan our mini-meet when everyone is on-board....Suggested times on other threads are 3 or 4. I'm not sure how the new reservation system will work. I'll check out the main threads to see about reactions.

I agree, a mini meet on the first day is a must! Where? I am unsure. People talk about a certain spot is some of the bars. I also hear of up on the decks BEFORE the drill. I am also hearing that is a bit chaotic. We can all put our dibs in and also talk about future plans beyond the first afternoon. I know we all will get busy with our own agendas as well........I have read too many a thread that DIS'ers tried/planned to get together and never did. What a disappointment!

We have a pretty small group respectively, so far!

Any and all thoughts are invited as we have obviously never even touched the very magic of thr Magic. It is all new to us!

Welcome! Are you planning any shore excurions? I am sooooo getting ready for Fall to hit and the true countdown begins! I love summer with a passion...especially where we live we have wonderful summers!
