hello all-
awol-
the brewery we went to was alaskan amber in ketchikan. man, if it's closed the people at espn must be bummed out-they would rent the entire place out when the filmed the world lumberjack championships (we were there the day before they were filmed). if they have another branch (might be one in juneau?) and they serve food i'de def. give it a try.
we are fairly well settled-still lots of boxes in the garage but mostly stuff that's not needed right now, and probably allot that we could get rid of
we do have our priorities straight though-the hot tub was delivered and installed this week
just in time for a freakish hail storm like we've never seen in our lives-hail the size of marbles which left the hot tub, the deck and the yard in a good 2 inches of ice that lasted until the next morning-not to be deterred though-dh and the kids waited till the hail stopped and climbed on in
we have so far discovered (in our yard)-moose, deer, porcupines, chipmunks and a variety of birds. the cat (which did survive the move despite one attempted escape that had dh chasing her across a motel parking lot early one morning) desparatly wants to go outside, but we have decided that between the ticks and the porcupines she is better suited to stay in (so she yowls at the slider). the kids are settled into school-but they will be done with that a week from today, then ds is going to start karate and dd will wait until she does her 2 weeks at sleepaway camp.
no vacations planned any time in the near future with the exception of some kind of amusement park in idaho (they call it the wdw of the pacific north west
)-but that's only about an hour away. i don't think we'll be doing any wdw until maybe 2008-and then i'de like to work it out where we do a realy long one-at least 15 days (we'll use our dvc points in one chunk), we've never done universal and still have over a week left on our non expiring park hoppers from the last cruise/trip so i figure if we're going to travel all that way we better make it worthwhile.
i ask also-where is everyone, what are you doing????? i hear that disney's building 2 new ships, any ideas on where those might take all of us to????

For some reason I still can't believe that part. Boarding went way too smooth. Got there around 11 a/m, and they let us board! We were on the ship by 11:35! Couldn't go to the room until excatly 1:00, but we didn't care. We left port late for some reason, but by then the beers had taken over
First stop: Sitka. Went kayaking. So pretty. You think your on a lake or a river, but it's the ocean. The trip over to the floating kayaking building was even better
Don't think some cared for that

: You definitely leave an impression!!!
I only got to go the park for one day, though. Our APs were blacked out for Sat/Sun. But, that should hold me over until our Sept trip.
in fact we were just 'warned' today to stear clear of the spokane/coeur de lane area around father's day weekend and into the next week-apparantly there's some yearly 'iron man' event that pulls in people from all over the u.s. and canada and the areas a mad house.
It is so great to hear that everyone is doing well.
hug your family and appreciate the moment!
