Hi everyone! Yup.........just got back from now, our 3RD, 7 night
DCL adventure! I am sold on that ship and company but probaly now need to realistically wait for the new ships to be built to stir up more excitement! I am am honestly amazed that the shows have not changed in three years! I love them all, don't get me wrong but I have had enough. My kids LOVED THEM even the 3rd time around!
They have tweaked Twice Charmed a little, also the Farewell show in the theater. Pirate night, IMHO, was the best orecastrated the year we all went. They have cut down on the side lines character parts of the show since then.
Palo was fabulous as usaul but I actually found a dessert there I like BETTER than the chocolate souffle! It is a crazy triple chocolate amaretto thing that was out of this world!
The ship is seeing a little wear a tear, as to be expected............and we actually had a few odd things ahppen to our Eastern cruise.
#1 stopped at San Salvador for a medical emergency (that DIS nurse couldn't fix

) and let off a middle aged man in a DCL tug to the shors who had sustained a bad fall and had central nuero symptoms of extremities. So sad! He was then flown to Ft. Lauderdale. His wife actually stayed on board (kids too) and she met a person in our party and update dus that he was much better and thankfuly wasn't going to end up paralyzed, like he initally presented.
P.S. That island was beautiful and I still need to look it up on a map where we were cause I swear you could sell that as a stop! There were hobie cats, wind surfers, jet skiis, what looked like fab sorkeling, etc!
#2 We ended up tendering into St. Thomas! There were so many ship s that day, DCL got bumped and we had to tender! It was interesting to say the least and we ended up doinfg our St. JOhn excursion just fine but it made the AM that more EARLY! We had to report to the WD theater at 6:15 AM! Agh!
We had a great trip and splurged on the way back at the Yacht Club plus Cirque dul Soliel (sp?). Prior to that we were at the Swan for three days and did Blizzard Beach on a 75 degree day that Floridains thought was freezing so we had the place almost to ourselves! That rocked!
Happy thanksgiving to everyone! We all have a lot to be thankful for!
Take Care, DIS NURSE
