Oooooooooooooooooh! The thread, "Has Anyone Not Connected With Their Tablemates?" is getting pretty juicy! :rotfl2: pirate:

I am all over the place on excusions and cannot make up my mind. :confused3 :confused3

We have booked rental cars at both islands as we enjoy the on your own travel, esp. for the first visit. Not sure about that missing the boat tips I have read. The ecotour sounds fun and we are scuba certified so there is that option.

The tandem parasailing sounded fun, but not sure we will make the weight limit at the end of the cruise. :rotfl: Snorkling sounds fun, but you need to wear a BC....hum

Must narrow down the options... :rolleyes1

my husband is scuba cert. as well, and this will be his first vacation since certification that will offer good opportunities. let us know what you see offered out there-i know he would appreciate any info.

I guess we should have known that the Disney trademark could not be used without authorization.....
We need to come up with something quickly! :goodvibes

How about DCL CRUISERS NOV. 12, 2005 ;)

How about MAGIC CRUISERS 11/12/05 ;)

How about DISNIECRUISE 11/12/05 ;) yup...the slight variation in spelling could save our ship (so to speak :rotfl: ) :boat: :boat: :boat:

I like trying for the variation in spelling as my first choice if we have to change.

check with the company to see if they will do just the ear icon- :earsboy: like the one on top of this guy (may not be copywritten). if they are will to do this we may be able to do something with the ears at each end. you may also want to contact the webmaster for this site-i can't imagine that disney has copywritten any of the icon images and is letting the dis board use them without compensation. wait-is'nt someone on this thread a board moderator:can you please check? another option is to see if flipping the "s" in disney backwards or making it a "z" will make a difference (courtesy of my friend who owns a a shop that makes tshirts, mugs, hats....).

Radisson guests-there are a some of us staying at best western, and at least one at ron juans the night before:would you be willing to include us in your pre-meet?

choc_marg-make sure to check out the kiosks photo booths at kennedy-they take a photo and it is superimposed such that you appear to have an astronaut's uniform and helmet on you (kid's fav. photo from the trip). also-check out their web site, they often have former astronauts appearing for q and a sessions during the day:since this will be vet's day you may find some special presentations.

p.s. gotta ask this one-with all the talk about excursions, are there no shoppers among you???? is anyone looking to find something special on this trip? on our last 7 day (same itinerary) my goals were a digital camera (fairly new on the market at the time and way above what i was willing to pay stateside) and a tanzanite bracelet. both of which i managed to get-with a beautiful men's wristwatch thrown in (customs ended up waiving the fees, saying if i managed to get all three at the prices i proved i deserved some kudos :). i'm not looking for anything major this time (only specific item is a christmas ornament for each kid's collection that i'm saving until they get their own place...the box grows larger and larger and larger.... :rotfl: ).
so fess up-anyone going to hit the stores?

I failed to announce some days ago that our thread here has officially surpassed my other chatty groups' # of posts! And Favorite Auntie can attest (she's on that cruise also)...they have diarrhea of the mouth at times! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

WAY TO GO GUYS!

we may have to leave the word disney off because of the copyright laws. [Magical cruise 11-12-2005] could be an option . Just in case we need some thing else.

How about MAGIC Cruise 11-12-2005 -- that way we have the name of the ship and I bet that is not copyrighted.....

Jay,
My husband will gladly join you for any and all football games. We planned this cruise around his beloved Florida State Seminoles. He will watch anything with a football.

We are driving down from GA and staying at the Radisson the night before the cruise! :cheer2:

I'm sooo happy to see another FSU follower! I spent 4 1/2 years (that is all I could talk Dad out of before he said "GRADUATE NOW!!") on the beloved campus. GO NOLES!!

We're not sure where we're staying Friday night. That is one item I still have to handle. We will be at WDW (Animal Kingdom) the week prior to the cruise.

Dis _Nurse, your hubby is a hang-gliding pilot! That is too cool! I'm an adrenaline junkie. I've skydived, bungee jumped, taken cat 5's on rafting adventures, always have and always will drive a fast car - vettes! etc., but I have yet to hang-glide. That's on the to-do list!

Chip&Dale&Fun......I love the art icon in the middle if we can't go with the original plan! Great idea! :cool1:

STB ON THE BEACH....my husband has been a hang glider pilot for over 25 years! Scary, HUH? He is very careful about launching conditions and tries to be as conservative as possible....he's the father of two young kido-s! I do look forward to him giving it up someday....he is out hanggliding as we speak....jumping off a 5,000 ft mountain over the high desert here in Oregon. His record is over 100 mile flight out in Eastern Oregon....was in the air for over 4 hours and was up to 13,500 feet in thermals! I am so glad he has mellowed out now and mainly flies in the evenings just around the mountain...say 45 minutes or so. I used to chase him in a car all over central and estern Oregon when we were dating years ago...thought it was so cool! Not anymore! :rotfl:

I used to fly as part of a neonatal transport team in a helicopter.....used to think that was so cool! Not anymore! :rotfl:
I went back to the bedside nursing of neonates about 2 years ago and it is much better for our busy kid lifestyle (24 hour shifts sleeping at the hospital and waiting for the pager to go off got to be a drag!)

Anyone in the area is more than welcome to join in on a pre-sail celebration. We are taking a shuttle from the airport to the Radisson so we will not have a car. I am not familiar with the area and what is close.

Shopping? oh yes! I can't wait to check out everything from the gift shops on board to the stores on the Islands. Any tips on good spots to go would be great.

I don't think I responded to the request for a little background on what we do when we are not obsessing about the trip. Besides being the parents to two wonderful girls I head up the human resources department at a credit union in Minneapolis and my DH is a programmer in the telecommunications field. Like everyone else this vacation will be a welcome break from a busy schedule.

We, too, will be "stuck" at Ron Jon's with no car (taking a limo from MCO to the resort)....so anything planned would have to be centered around those of us who can travel amongst the resorts by the Port. ;)

I suppose we could hitchhike....???? :confused3 No.....probably not a good idea. Someone would see our darling kids and kidnap us all.....take our cruise documents and fill in for us....the "new" DIS NURSE family would then be foraging around on Deck 2 looking for "free" Mickey Bars and we would be tied to some palm tree in Southern Florida asking ourselves....."Why did we do that?" :guilty:

Hello out there...... It has been quiet all day today & I have to go to page 2 to find you guys!!

Thanks for all of the band suggestions. I'll see what they have to say tomorrow. There has to be a way to get around this.

barkley - thanks for the info on Kennedy. I'll definitely look for the kiosks. I read about your credit card fiasco on the other thread. What a mess!!!

Shopping is definitely on the agenda!! But how do we keep the non-shoppers & the shoppers happy? Maybe a 1/2 day excursion & a some shopping near a beach. Is that even possible? DM & I will want to shop. I'll want to do an excursion too, but DM would be completely happy just shopping.

Keep your fingers crossed for good news/solutions from reminderband!!

Yes....Choc Marg, I will keep hopeful thoughts your way in trying to figure out the Remindaband issue! I hope they will be happy with a reversed "S' or an icon in the middle of the word DISNEY :earsboy: CRUISE!

I am so frustrated with the "instant email" and "user CP" services of these boards right now! I have always been able to reley on them giving me the most up to date (time) info on replies to posts....BUT NOT LATELY! Some never go through and others are several hours to days late. Anyone else recently catch these errors? :confused3
