November 12, 2005....7 Night Eastern...Who Else?

Barkley - have your DH check out this dive site...http://www.blueislanddivers.com

It is the one recommended by the Scuba Fans on my 2006 cruise and they dive significantly. There are three farily easy dives, with shallow depths that will allow maximum bottem time. I am not sure I want to try a wreck dive.

Flat Cay, Spratt Point and T table are interesting. Plus, they can take DH to join the family if he only wants to do one dive.

I've e-mailed the company for some additional information. You can also check out the Scubaboard website for info.

Anyway, we are NOT booking the Cruise package and will go with either Coki or BlueIsland....We will be looking for an easy dive, and not a deep dive so your DH is welcome to come with us -- if that is what he would like - no pressure.......But since day 90 is fast upon us, thought I would update you ASAP.......

I'm up for a meet at the Radisson. We'll stop by when we're done at Kennedy. Look for the green bands (if I can get it all squared away with reminderband - they aren't too terribly receptive or good at returnign e-mails)

Barkley - most of my friends are wine drinkers & I've often thought I need to aquire that taste, but never have been able to. I actually rarely drink, but when I do maragritas & Mike's Hard Lemonade are my choices. Very nice of you to offer to bring wine though!! That will be fun for a bunch of you.

Here is the Latest....I'm adding other events as we decide. Keep the post coming and (in advance) corrections are welcome :cool1:

They look great. I am so looking forward to diving in *WARM* water. So far, all my dives have required at minimum a 7mm wetsuit. :cold: :cold: :cold:

The site looks fine and I would enjoy hooking up with you. See you on the 12th!

Welcome - and Congrats on your first post. I'll pm you the information about the dive from their e-mail....

We are going to have to regretfully decline the invite at the Radisson the night before the cruise.......OUR KIDS STILL WON'T KNOW WE ARE GOING! :cool1: But have fun and hopefully we will all have green Remindabands by then!

I am trying to open the link of the Shutters photo cards, C&D&F......but my work computer seems to have blocked that page. I will try tonight at home.
Thanks for all of your effort! I did see some examples posted on that original thread.

I thought this might be the case//// By the way, I had lunch with a family (kids are about 3,6,9) and they had a great time at Ron Jon's.

Not to be a spoil sport but shouldn't your Sig Line nullum vinum flaccidum
be numquam vinnum blandita or nullus vinnum blandita? I have checked several Lattin to English Dictionaries and can not find nullum or flaccidum in them.

whatever time is good for everyone else-about the only thing i plan on doing once we arrive is possibly picking up a 24 pack of bottled water (since i started losing weight for this my intake has gone up considerably :) ). perhaps early evening-those who wish to eat before can, those who care to eat afterwards can, AND those of us who wish to exhaust our kids so they won't keep us up all night with "can we get on the boat yet???????" most def. can

Question: somehow i've gotten the impression we have a few folks in this group who enjoy a drink now or then (please correct me if i'm wrong :listen: ) so i was thinking i would like to bring some napa wines to share-but i need to know what folks like: are you into the reds, the chards, the chenin blancs, the zinns? let me know. i know this is a long shot but-any sake drinkers out there?

talk to you soon.

Wow, it sounds like the pre-sail party is really coming together. We are planning on being down by the pool in the afternoon so I am thinking anytime people want to wander down or over is great. I had read that the italian restaurant next door is good so it may be worth a try for those that want to check it out.

That is a very nice offer to bring wine. Anything is ok with us.

Poast cards from home would be great! Are we planning on bringing one per kid? That will be fun!

Well, I am not entirely thrilled with the response from Reminderband. I sent an e-mail on Friday in response to the licensing issue. No word by afternnon Monday, so I sent a whole new note with new art. Nothing by mid afternoon today, so I sent it again. If we don't get this squared away with them this week, we might want to try a different place.

Myself, my wife (Julie) and my son (Nick 8) are going on our first cruise on November 12. We are extremely excited!!! These boards have been great. We have had a ton of questions and there are always plenty of answers.

We are staying at the Rad. the friday before so my son and I will have plenty of time to do some boogie boarding at Cocoa Beach.

Look forward to talking and meeting with you guys in November.

Thanks for all of your hardwork on the bands. I am sure that they will be great.

Admittedly you caught me....It was a cute reminder of a wine tasting party. I checked the Latin dictionaries as well, but could not find an English translation for "whimpy". That said, I will enjoy our Wine Exchange!!!!!

We are so thankful that you have undertaken the project, I would give Reminderbands only until tomorrow.....after all, we have a 3 weeks of processing time...Whatever you decide, I'll support and in the words of one of my favourite English comedies...."I am unanimous in that"!

Thanks for the safe return of the Shuttle....."Welcome Home"...

POST CARDS POST CARDS POST CARDS POST CARDS POST CARDS

This goes back to one of our pre-100 posts. Some of us thought it would be fun if the kids (who are being pulled our of school) would bring cards of their home town, state or landmark...plus extras from any neat places they have visited. I promised to bring an Atlas of the US...maybe enough overview pages for each of the kids, so they can see where they are from....It may be fun or they may be bored...we will see....but you can request geography credit on their return.... :teacher:

We have no kids but I have a collection from trips that were never sent and they are in my cruise box of "stuff to bring."

We have a new family join our group, everyone lets welcome them :wave2: I was in Walgreens today and I saw some mickey mouse plush dolls marked down. 59 cents each, so I got about 9 of them. One was minnie, one was bambi and the rest mickey. Bambi ,Minnie and one Mickey will be saved for my children and the rest will be for you guys . Any takers?

I have been meaning to ask - do we have any other Certified Scuba Divers out there???? Barkley DH has posted...any others???

If you are interested in a relaxing (easy), shallow reef dive, let us know....If you are an experienced deep, dangerous, diver -- good luck, we will let you set the mark.....

I'm getting ready for the 90 day dance... :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
