November 12, 2005....7 Night Eastern...Who Else?

Yup, it's true....Chip&Dale&Fun havn't posted since post page #125! We are WAY beyond that! I am just feeling kind of guilty 'cause she was the surrogate mother of this thread, in a sense. :goodvibes

She is such an organizer and she must feel lost knowing she leaves in two weeks for the vacation of her life!.......oh, well......we'll make it up to her! I feel so sorry for anyone damaged by these horrific storms! They are unlike any others we have experienced as far as frequency and duration of damage/clean up. I suppose next year could be as bad or worse! :guilty:

BTW, for you newbies......C&D&F live in West Palm Beach, FL. :guilty:

I would love to think I would LOVE  to live on the coast of FLorida, but not now.....it seems to be never-ending consequences for living in paradise! :sunny: :guilty:

Princess Hayley's Mom,

PACK THE SWORD IN YOUR CHECKED BAGS!!! Sorry for the yelling, but we had a BIG problem with DS4. He got this cheapo sword from the Pirates of the Carribbean ride and insisted on keeping it with him at all times. Security was a nightmare and although they did let him on with it (he thru one h*ll of a fit), never again. I was really surprised it was such a big deal...hey, it is a toy after all. Security said that while it was (clearly) a toy, in the heat of the moment, someone could think it real.

Just an FYI.

How do I get a lanyard?

Jennifer

Angelbelle,,,did I read somewhere you're a cm??? If you are,,,where do you work/what fun job do you get to tackle everyday???

Yes! My boyfriend and I are both WDW CMs. :) I'm a character performer and puppeteer, and he is a character attendent (the CMs in the bright yellow shirts who watch the characters.) I'm very good friends with the chipmunks and Pooh, among others. I'm trained in Spectromagic and MGM's day parade. I also perform the turtle puppet in Voyage of The Little Mermaid.

This will be our first Disney cruise. I did an Alaskan cruise with Princess cruises about 6 years ago. Chris has never cruised at all. He's also done very little traveling period, while my family took trips to new places every summer growing up. This will be a completely new experience for him!

We both live in FL (though not together) about 20 minutes from WDW. Our room is on deck 7 towards the back of the ship. We are in the second dining.

YEA!! MomtoG&E - THAT LOOKS AWESOME!!! You have two precious boys! I love the pics you posted, and the time you spent putting it together was worth it!!

Cool, AngieBelle,,,,we have a true Disney Worker Bee in our group! I've always wanted to take a "behind the scenes" tour of Disney - To see the "underground" portion that I grew up hearing soooo much about.

 :cool1: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

i think they carry them at staples and office depot (the type that offices hand out to employees to put their i.d.s and key cards in (me me know how much our 4 ran you-i will pay when we meet).

thank you so much for doing so much for all of us!

where is everyone today? packing, prepping?

i went shopping today (and hit disnurse's fav store!). got all my non perishable thanksgiving supplies for the pantry, some easy to prepare meals for our remaining 7 days till departure, and grabbed a few last minute food items for our wdw stay (gotta have goober for ds!).

grabbed dh's bday gift, as well as the stuff needed to reveal the surprise of the trip to ds next week (if you hear a loud scream of joy the evening of november 1st it's him :goodvibes ). dh is going to pick up his tux tonight and is swinging by the disney store to price park passes (i'll then do the comparing with the official site offerings).

well, we are in the home stretch-can't beleive we leave a week from tomorrow :Pinkbounc i've got my wine purchased and will hit the jelly belly factory for belly flops and primo chocolate next week.

well gotta get some real work done around here-we still need to hit the pumpkin patch this weekend (if the rain stops).

p.s. 4campers-i see that you too have a "spencer" in your family! this is too cool-i don't think my son has ever met someone who shared his name. does your spencer go by any nicknames? we occasionaly call ours "spence" and if his sister wants him to do something for her we hear "spencieeeeeeeee".

yeah i was thinking of making a bag of the "drink" oriented jelly bellys to bring along as well. maybe i should grab awol a bag of the "bertie botts" :rotfl2: these things are truly nasty! my kids took great delight in offering them to their unsuspecting uncles last year and then telling them what flavor they had given them just as they swallowed :rotfl2:

Well, my Spencer is a girl!!! No nicknames yet. And, I know she, along with her sister, will be soooo happy to see all the kids!!

How do you pack your wine?? Just got mine today and I'm sitting here thinking about what to do with it. I've read some say to just carry on, but, we will have toooooo much already. I'm thinking bubble wrap, along with air tight bag?

Where are you going so soon? I read back on some of the threads...but gosh, I'd need a whole month now!! You all can really write! This has really been a wonderful thread. I've enjoyed all the ideas, humor and the 'scary' one!! pirate:

Thanks to all of you for ALL your great tips!! :wave2:

4campers-cool-at least we will be able to keep our spencers straight!

i wrap the wine in bubble wrap from top to bottom (and double wrap it), i'm also careful when i open it so i can recycle the bubble wrap for souvineers :teeth: just pack it inbetween socks and tshirts for cushioning.

we are going to wdw before the cruise (so i can recoup on board), we'll be there from late saturday nite until friday morning. friday we head to the port and stay at the raddison.

any chance that you would like to take up my offer on the new umbrella stroller for your spencer? i am bringing it primarily so we don't have to carry our spencer around the airport on departure morning. let me know-i'll just hand it over onboard.

Oh! wdw!! Sounds like fun!! We will have to go there next time! You'll have to tell us all about it!

Can't wait for all the wine!

We will be bringing our stroller along for the SAME reason! Thank you so much for the offer!

Where is everyone today?

o.k.-gotta post this to give everyone a laugh! walked by spencer's (8 yrs. old) room a little bit ago. he is kicked back in his sponge bob briefs on his cushy spider man chair playing playstation. all of a sudden i realize he is singing. singing...."nobody knows the troubles i have seen, nobody knows the sorrows" :rotfl2:
