November 11, 2006 - MAGIC - Special Western "Double Dip" Cruise 11/11/06

Our tax refund is already in the bank! It was big enough to pay off the balance on our cruise too but DH of course wants me to do something more useful with it like pay off our VISA balance from our family trip to DL this past Nov. as well as my personal trip to DL a couple of months ago (really, I just went for one day while in town attending a conference)

Either way, our Disney Visa will be paid off and I continue to go to work to pay off the cruise! Some people may say the reason I went back to work this year was my need to be "productive in society," and others may see it as just a need to get out of the house for a few hours each day. I of course know the real reason... to satisfy my need to take a DCL Vacation!

We are and have been the "Double Dip" Cruise from the start...
Different (other date) Castaway Cay X 2 DIS Cruise Group have "other" names....but this is "ours".

So no, I don't want 'beaches and dreams' on my bracelet or T Shirt or pins or whatever.....sorry.​

Hello eveyone, have been working long hours finally paid off dcl. now need to save for spending for family. our little one has been really sick with her asthma. my mother is not well here lately. so hope all stays well so we can still dc. our new little guy will be here june. my son and daughter will miss going with us this year. the weather here in W.V. is COLD and DAMP we think dlc and feel so much warmer YEA!!!. we are looking in to airline tickets. so far we have found $237.00 If we wait till May we found $132.oo. is there anywhere else for better price or better time to get tickets? thank you for any info. blessing to the dlc wedding couple. catch ya later.

Morning! Kris, I've had lots of day-dreams about the trip, but no nighttime ones yet. Those usually happen closer in...you know, when the pre-trip anxiety kicks in I do turn on my sound-soother every night that is set to 'ocean' and I bet my first dream of the night is about cruising...I just don't remember it!



Hey, does anyone know how many days out you can make ADR's? I know they 'expanded' the window, just don't remember what it is....120, 160 days? Since I only have one to make, for one day, and only ONE restaurant will do, I don't want to miss getting it booked. Guess I could mosey over to the restaurants forum and find out, eh?

I came up with another bracelet saying to put on the list.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I just got an e-mail from my bank with an offer for discounted TurboTax...so glad I haven't done my taxes yet, it's going to save me $20. Hmmmm, the amount of a Palo service charge for two!

We hit the 100 page and 1500 posts! Ok here's my view on the braclets.
No need for "cruise" on it - if we have double dip it's self explanatory that we are cruising. I agree DOUBLE DIP is important (if we don't stop - not our fault-but that's the name of the cruise and has been). So... I LOVE DOUBLE-DIPPING DIS'ers - can we put MAGIC 11/11/06 on the second row? I want to remember my first Cruise ship's name. And those of you who cruise and or travel so often, might want it too.

It rained all day yesterday YIPEE!!! We were over 130 days from our last rain. I love it when it's cold and rainy (sorry folks, just NOT used to it!) We saw the new Johnny Depp movie... very interesting. He is SOOO amazing. Character was very dark - but very sexy (oh that was Johnny again)...

Also saw on Friday Failure to Launch - and I agree with IBOUNCETOO the one pal of Matthew's was WAY HOT - better pec's and those light blue eyes... move OVER Matthew and make room for "?" - I'll be researching his name.

Gotta get one of those travel alarms with my big sister's (Ibouncetoo) sound wave (mental note). Can I stop saying that ibounce is my sister now? Everyone knows right? Whew.

Ok, over to the trip reports I go....

You know Jackie, I think I'm starting the pre-trip anxiety a little early this time (my first time planning for a group family vacation on top of all the wedding plans). Maybe my mind is looking for a little escape... It's definitely okay by me though. I'll take dreams of the Magic any night!!

I've got to get taxes wrapped up want to have them done by end of this upcoming week. Would love to pay off the trip!

We've done Turbo Tax online for the last few years and love it! You just go to the intuit website and do everything on line - they even store your address and current 1040 info for next year so you don't have to start over each year entering data. You do have to pick a user name and password that you plan to use year after year though. I had to write mine down as all of the "hint" info was linked to an e-mail address that no longer exists.

It was all very simple and only took a couple of hours to complete everything (including 2 sched. Cs, various stock sales, etc).

hey all!! happy monday to everyone!!

my taxes are done and as soon as the are deposited, im paying off the cruise!! i cant wait!!

here is my favorite tip for anyone with a veranda - sadly - i didnt figure this out until the last day of our cruise, so i thought i would give you the heads up now! in front of the couch is a table - that table is able to be lifted to different heights - so you must take that out onto the veranda at least one morning and enjoy your breakfast out there - nothing beats that!! last time we did that it was the day we were backing into castaway cay - and that was so much fun to watch!!

Hello all, seems like ages since my laptop was working . Unfortunately it is still broken but I am waiting patiently..... That is what happens when you ask a family member to help, there is no deadline. Nice to catch up on everything. Hope everyone is doing well.

I am also hoping to get my taxes done soon so I can pay off my cruise . Seems like great minds think alike.

I like the bracelet idea, any saying is fine with me.

That's what usually happened to mine too. Basically to pay for a WDW trip I'd ALREADY taken This year I'll actually be using it to pay before I go. Though I will be paying with my Disney visa for the rewards, just paying the visa off with the return, before interest charges accrue.

I'm looking forward to a week off work and a visit from our big sister the first week of April. I just booked a night in Sedona, so we'll do a couple of days in red rock country. Our hotel room has a fireplace and a balcony with a great view. Just did some research on new restaurants to try. There are a couple of AAA 4 diamond ones up there that I haven't been to, so we'll have a few to chose from. For Phoenix area adventures, thankfully TiggersPal has some dining suggestions. That girl just gets out more than I do! (I'm REALLY in a rut!)

I don't remember who got the great rate on the pre cruise stay at the Hyatt but, we have had a change in plans. We will be flying in to Sanford airport early on Friday and have decided to head right over to Port Canaveral for the night. We are staying at the Radisson so the kids can enjoy the pool.
I had reserved 2 rooms for the Hyatt, but need to cancel them. I hope everyone can still get that rate and it doesn't mess things up.

I've asked if theirs came from reminderbands, as I didn't think that company would allow the use of Disney...without being trickey....like DISney or whatever.

Did anybody watch the travel channel special....or have you all seen it already? I had only seen a portion of it months ago, so wanted to catch the whole thing...surprising how outdated some of the information is already
