Wow,
Being away from the computer for three days and 10 pages later.

11/10/07 may be our only option at the moment. I was hoping to get a western in there because we haven't been on one yet. But the way the dates are, this would be our only choice. I did like the eastern cruise we took in 11/04.
If we do go in 11/10/07, we need to get more of you from this cruise to join us.
CJKKIM is also on both cruises. She started the DIS thread for the 11/10/07 cruise.

. . . First off dont panic. Many people get aboard the Ship and dont have OCPD like all of us!
Michelle is right. Don't panic.

Everyone who goes on a Disney Cruise has a terrific time. It's like going to Disneyland or WDW. People who just show up have a great time. Those who plan in advance have different expectations and have a great time as well.

Cylnne - give young B a huge hug for me will ya! I am so excited to play with the kiddies too - I wish we could go do some crafting with Miss M! Remember the stuff Jackie brought at dinner that night - as if we'd be coloring at the dinner table. Ahhh that's my sister!

THAT's WHAT I LEFT OFF MY PACKING LIST! Hmmmmm, I think I still have a princess coloring book somewhere...or was it a Mickey & friends one????:scratchin Think of it Peg, if we have wacko table-mates, we can just color between courses. No one will think we're the wackos, right?

(ahem, WHO was the one always stealing Miss V's kid's menues to color and do the word search??????)

Lets see, so many things to reply to...

I haven't seen a bus here in the US with seatbelts, so not likely they will be on the buses in Costa Maya. I do know we had a couple of families who were interested in joining the Costa Maya trip, but I don't think anyone was just a group of two. Anyone else remember?

As for the German Celebration... wow, Veteran's Day AND more all on the same day! I've got quite a bit of German blood in me, but don't ask me to carry on a conversation in German. I took a course in college, and haven't used it in years! :rotfl:

We too have seen some interesting tram experiences at DL. We saw how flat the trams can make a stroller - that's why they tell you to collapse them first folks! :rolleyes1 How scarey that must have been for the kid that fell out! :sad2:

. . . If getting dressed up really bothers your Dh, you all can eat at the casual buffet that night.
After our latest cruise, I read that dinner at Topsiders is no longer a buffet. There is a salad bar with sit down table service and guests order from the same menu as in the main dining rooms. (Can you say "lobster?")

This sounds like a good alternative for families pressed for time, missed their regular seating, or want to go casual.

So, should I pack that too? I DO have one...from Disneyland!
Of course!

Anyone else agree that our grand pooh-bah Jackie deserves to wear her tiara?

. . . On our cruise last year, I was surprised how dressed up people were on both formal and semiformal nights. DH owns a tux for work, so he brought it, and definately did not feel out of place. Most women had floor-length gowns for both nights. I had a gown for formal night, and a black cocktail dress for semiformal, which I also wore at Palo.
I agree, though it varies from cruise to cruise.

My general observation is that special itinerary cruises (like the Double Dip) have more repeat cruisers, who tend to participate more, such as dressing up on formal and semi-formal night.

Too funny -- especially after our mini-DISmeet with you, Peg and Miss V (and of course Carolyn, Surly, DS, DD, and our then future Marine).

With out a doubt. Jackie has gone to extremes to find out info and to do special things to make our cruise more magical! She's the BEST!!!

Good Morning! Just checking in and making sure everyone is still excited! :thumbsup2 Packing is coming along fine. I only need to get Dave 2 more hawaiin shirts and oldest DS some clothes. The kid is so picky that he will probably be doing laundry in the middle of the week!

Have a great day everyone.

Happy Anniversary Honey. 20 down, 20 plus to go!

You have to watch it all the way through, the wonder hit the emergency horn by mistake the first time.

I LOVED that! Thanks for sharing it.

About the tux.... I'm with you. I think I'll rent him a tux and bring his suit. If he reacts with horror to the tux  I'll pull out the suit.
Yup. I'm doing the packing or there's no way anything remotely resembling formal will make it into our luggage. I think I'll do the gown and cocktail dress as well. I never get to dress up.

Thanks for all the input everyone. It was really helpful.

I am renting a tux and bring my suite and my sport coat. I don't know if I am going to wear the tux on the formal night or not. Thursday is going to be our foremal DAY.
Sorry have to finish in min. Installing new firewall need to reboot.

 Happy Anniversary, Shelly and Dave!

Thanks for the 'thanks' you guys! DISers are the best! :grouphug:

I, for one, can't wait to see all you boys in your tuxes! Peggy's wedding was the first time my Dad ever wore one and he didn't want to take it off! I think he knew he looked SMASHING and DASHING! Maybe I'll post a picture tonight (don't worry Peg, I won't pick one with the baby-bride in it ;) )

Jack you up to the challenge?

I'm in! :thumbsup2

Post #4500 is mine, and nobody better touch it!

Just think, we are less than 3 weeks away! And I haven't even started to get the clothes ready to pack.
