Has nothing to do with your post Woody, but I like the quote under your name regarding snorkel equip. :scared1: That's what stops me from doing that. I'm a little funny that way. So unless I bring my own, and who has room for that in their suitcase, guess I'll never be able to try it.

You're not the only one. The kids and I all have recently purchased snorkels that we are bringing with us (not all the gear-just the snorkel itself). I figure we can handle used fins and masks, but not previously chewed and slobbered on snorkels. Even if it has been bleached, it is still a little creepy for my family.

Now, on the subject of snorkel equipment... a while back I posted about having to locate some snorkel gear for DH (since we were told the stuff DCL rents were the older laytex style, and not the newer silicone stuff). DH has a latex allergy, and we decided that his having an allergic reaction would not be such a good start for a vacation! :teeth: So... last weekend we went to a highly recommended dive shop. Boy did they see us coming! DH now has dive quality snorkel equipment! The fins are LONG (I reminded him that they have to fit into a suitcase). His mask is AMAZING! Don't want to quote what we spent, but I told him I highly recommend that he use them as many times as possible. :thumbsup2

Wow, I just noticed the counter and it said one month two weeks and I got butterflies. . .

Speaking about counters, your post was No. 3400!

Vanvmom~Thanks for the info. I will think about this, but I doubt I'll have room. Always pack to much but I will plan ahead for the next time. I have really gotten more excited since the chat. I guess I am now wrapped up in everyone else's excitment also. See you soon.....

We are taking our own snorkel gear. We too got ours from a dive shop at the end of the season a few years ago. We use the vests, but we take everything else and then wash them in the shower when we retrun to the boat. If you do not wash them they will be ruined. That is the down side, for me, of taking my own. The clean up. I want a vacation where I am not doing laundry or cleaning up. :rotfl2:

Sounds like a good reason to book another Disney cruise!

I'm always up for that option Woody! That's one of the reasons we'd like DH to have a new job lined up before we leave on the cruise. If not it may be VERY hard to convince him to re-book! :goodvibes

I'm starting to get excited as well. still haven't decided what excursions we may do. I can't believe it's only 7 weeks away!!!
I had to laugh when reading about the snorkeling equipment. I don't like using the rental stuff either (YUCK with someone else's mouth on the snorkel!) We have had our own for some time now and I usually take it on the cruise with me (but we didn't even take it out on the last cruise.)

Hi everyone. Surgery went well. Still not up to full speed but wanted to stop in and say hi. When I get more steam I will try to catch up on the pages and see if I missed anything. Please send a PM about buttons and I will get back with you as soon as I feel better.

I'll bet it's LOUD!

It was the loudest concert I have ever been to. I went to Journey when I was 13 my ears rang for a week and this put that to sham.
But for all of you 80's hair band fans  the new singer for journey sounded JUST like Steve Perry. I couldn't believe it. And not being g a huge Def Leopard fan (as my brother in-law is) they put on a fantastic show.

we have snorkel equip as well. My mom got it at snorkel-mart.com and it wasn't cheap but it's the good stuff. My boys have been practicing in the pool with it.

Great news Shelly! I know when I was home recovering from mine I figured I'd get to spend a lot of time on the DIS.......didn't happen! Those first two weeks home were just kind of a blur (plus in my case I couldn't sit up for very long and DISing standing up got old real fast!).

I started my pre-packing organizing today. Have things to ship down ahead of time, so I'm making sure they are all in one place. Of course, there is one small bag of supplies from the craft store that I can't locate. :confused3 Thankfully, not too $ to replace if it doesn't turn up!

Picked up mailing supplies for the wrist bands and cleaned out my PM mailbox, so y'all can start PMing me your mailing address. I'll respond with my address for sending $, once the bands are here and I get an idea of postage.

OK.....back to chores for me.

Take it easy on yourself, Shelly! We want you rested and in fine form for vacation! So glad to hear surgery went well!

Loved, loved, loved Def Leppard, in my sheltered youth...

Shelly sending you some pixie dust pixiedust: Hope you feel 100% in no time. You can make lists of all the things you stlll need to do before you go !!!!

:cool1: Got my outfit for formal night! :cool1: At Ross.....$35!!!!! It's going to cost me more than that to have it hemmed!! I'm fairly well pleased with it too. (Trust me, I've tried on some abomonations!)

I may even consent to be photographed. :lmao:

:grouphug: gentle hugs, Shelly. :grouphug: I'm so glad you are doing well. Just don't do too much. Lay around, eat bon bons, ring the "help me" bell and enjoy your recuperation as much as the pain meds will let you. :teeth:
