Well said FgM. Hip Hip Hooray!!

The only thing I can add (and it doesn't really need anything added) is attitude is everything. We are going to have a great time. There will be a few kinks and mishaps but thats part of the adventure. One time when we went to WDW, on MGM day it rained and poured. I told the kids that "a little rain never stops a Barczak". We just put on the panchos and had a great time. Got a bit wet but that was part of the adventure. Now, anytime we have something planed and the weather is questiopnable the kids always remind me that "a little rain never stops a Barczak" and off we go. It's one of my favorite memories.

Everyone has their own style for vacationing. There are those who like peace and quite and have a wonderful time sitting on the Veranda and reading a good book or going to a wine tasting or enjoying a great quite dinner at Palo's. There are the more outgoing type that like to be involved in as many activities as possible. To each his own. Me, I just like creating memories with my family. Some times that includes meeting nice people, enjoying new experiences (especially new foods and desserts), building vegetable cars, getting a little crazy during family Karoke or just playing board games in the room.

Thanks for making us lurkers feel welcome. I visit often, but hardly ever post. :rolleyes1

:thumbsup2 Lurkers are always welcome....to lurk, to post, to sit quietly back on the cruise and just shake your head  at some of the  DISers!

Oh, don't remember if I 'officially' posted this, but wrist bands are ordered! I have 5 or more 'leftovers' in each size for anyone who decides they want one or for any latecomers. I'll send out PM's this weekend with info on sending $$ and getting your addresses for mailing. (AND I earned $3 Disney rewards dollars!)

Just checked on DCL.....the stateroom next to ours is still available...does anyone know a nice, single, Disney loving, baby-boomer, dancing dude to cruise with us? Huh?

With all these staterooms still available, maybe our FL residents will be able to get a discount and some nice upgrades may come the way of some DISers! Guess it's time to start checking in on DCL to see if any Pixie Dust gets gets sprinkled on you. Probably the GTY assignments should start showing up in the next two weeks or so too.

Off to cruise the forum and see whats shaking...........

Seven weeks from today we'll be at the airport waiting for our plane to take us to Orlando! I can't wait to show my baby sister Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Grand Floridian. I can't wait for that town car ride and the first sighting of the Magic as you come over the bridge. I can't wait to meet DIS pals in the terminal and embarrass my self in my lime green boa. I can't wait till they welcome us on the ship. I can't wait to see my verandah stateroom and meet the wonderful CM's. I can't wait to parasail for the first time and see the ruins and swim with the dolphins. I can't wait for brunch AND dinner at Palo.

I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!....but I will.

Now your talking about our kind of excitement! The kids have cruised DCL before, but not out of FL, so the whole trip will still be an adventure for our family (and our travel group cruising with us). Gosh one of my DS has never flown on an airplane yet (can't come close to containing his excitement)!

I agree about the rain too! We've been to DL in the rain, and we had a fun time that day getting soaked (of course it might have been better if we'd brought a 2nd pair of shoes on that trip  ). We put on rain ponchos, and enjoyed the park. We laughed for hours over the rain pouring down our sleeves while riding the Zepher in CA Adventure. :rotfl:

:bounce: We're going to be cruising on DCL! :bounce:

The rain is always funny in the parks, :umbrella: we too were in MGM one day when it POURED we keep on having fun and at some point it becomes so funny because we were all soaked. After about an hour of waiting to see if Fantasmic would happen, My then 21/2 yr old looks at us and says" do you guys know it is raining?" That was hysterical. However I would like to make a small request that it not rain on our cruise or if it must only at night. I am really looking foraward to the sun and relaxation. :beach: I am getting excited that we are almost to the point of having to do certain things to get ready no more putting it off, cause it is just around the corner!!  Also wanted to say thanks to everyone on this thread for being so kind and friendly, we seem to have a really nice group of cruisers :woohoo: :woohoo:

  Me too, excited!!  Except for an occasional pang of panic. (Can I really get all this done in time?) (insert scarey hysterical laughter here)

I had to get on here and share with you all what a wonderful DH I have  . He is so wonderful that I wanted to do something special for him for this cruise. I called DCL to see if a Cat 2 became available and was informed that there were none available, but (I am excited now just hearing the word "but") there is a Cat 3 available. A one bedroom suite! How wonderful, Dh might really enjoy this. A servant at his beckon call and a larger room. Now I am certain that I have died and gone to heaven. :cloud9: I ask the nice CM what the increase would be to upgrade. A reasonable question. One that should be quite simple to answer, right? No, not at all. She can not tell me the increase, because (are you ready for this) I have a TA. She informed me that my TA could call and they would tell her, duh. I was so disgusted that I did not even wish her a happy Disney day. :furious: Now remember this is a story about my wonderful DH, so let me get to that. I call DH and tell him that I had attempted to do something nice for him. I explained that the cabin was larger and it came with concierge service. He responds with "why do we need that we already have room service." Now at this point I figure he just does not get it. :confused3 After all his degree was in physics. So I go on to explain that the room comes with a person who would be at his beckoning call to meet his every need. How could anyone pass that up while on vacation, heck I wouldn't mind having that now. My great Dh responds...please remember he is a wonderful guy and I was doing this for him..."Why do I need that I have you." :faint: Did I mention he was wonderful? I am working on trying to convince myself of that. ;) Sure was glad we were on the phone and in two separate states.

So I am please to announce that we are still in a Cat 7 and HE will be ordering room service. Oh, yes and I am still letting him go. LOL

My friend from Miami just booked a couple of weeks ago and was told by two different TAs that: 1) there are no FL discounts on this cruise and 2) there are no more available. Do any of you know if there is a limit to the number of FL discounts or if the TAs were just plain wrong?

Thanks!

:joker: Dee I can't wait to meet your DH pirate: I thought I was the only man on the planet that could do stuff like that :cheer2: :woohoo: Is it time to get on the boat yet :bounce: :bounce: :dance3: :grouphug: :Pinkbounc

I have not read this post concerning trips as of yet, but I can tell from Dee's thoughts that it most likely isn't worth reading. Everyone, as Dee said, is on vacation and they are there to have fun. If you want to get together with people you do, if not you don't. You paid for the trip do what you want, with whom you want and when you want. The last cruise with Dee and g-r-o-u-p we saw each other for a couple of meals and that was it. We all had our own fun, but knew we were there enjoying it together. If we needed each other we were only a phone call away!

Has nothing to do with your post Woody, but I like the quote under your name regarding snorkel equip. :scared1: That's what stops me from doing that. I'm a little funny that way. So unless I bring my own, and who has room for that in their suitcase, guess I'll never be able to try it.

How about a man with a slow hand and an easy kiss..is that back far enough?

48:22:39:50 till we cruise. On my way to journey Def Leppard Consert. Just figured I'd update I love to see the numbers getting smaller.

got my wench costume today in the mail, we are all set pirate gear wise. I can't wait to wear this on the cruise. If anyone sees a crazy pirate chasing after a wench in a red skirt that's just us!

Wow, I just noticed the counter and it said one month two weeks and I got butterflies. I already am losing a week because I will be in Vegas (which I had better start packing for). I have been in planning mode for so long that I forgot to switch gears. I need to get into action and start packing and get organizing. Before we know it we will be on the ship.
