I want to thank everyone on their input regarding the snorkeling gear. I will certainly give it all consideration for the next time I go traveling. :thumbsup2 I'm so glad there are other people who are like me.
Dee maybe obsessive compulsive in the planning department, but I am obsessive compulsive with germs to a degree . As time goes on I notice I am thinking more about cleanliness/germs before I do something, i.e. snorkeling. Especially with what is out there anymore. Don't know when I started to get like this. :confused3 Sometimes these compulsive things come with age and some come from experiences. I just want to live to be the ripe old age of 100, if that's possible. What am I thinking???? I'm already over the half way mark!!!! :rotfl2:

Smart move. We have friends who were on the Magic when it had the Norwalk virus outbreak. It was not pretty, and is the reason DCL started using hand wipes and anti-bacterial at the dining rooms.

Yes, that was something that was going on about the time I went on my first cruise. My son and girlfriend carry bacterial gel. They use it after looking at the menu at the resturant. Did you ever think you have read a menu which has been touched by many and then ate something like an apetizer (spelled wrong I know) with your fingers or eaten bread. :sad2: Think of the germs. So I carry the gel for that also. I know you can't think of when to do it all the time, but if you can catch it a few times it is good. Well off to work. And I guess enough said about germs. Have a great day everyone. :sunny:

i try to use that gel after touching the spoons at a buffet
or playing a slot machine :thumbsup2

Hey all.

A few weeks ago I posted that I got a Palo's ressie for the first night. I am going to keep it and try to change it on the ship, so my next question is, what day is the best for Palo's dinner? I don't know anything about rotations, or anything else, but is there one night that I really want to be in the dinning room? Or is there one night that wouldn't matter?

Since I should be in all the dinning rooms at least 2 times, I don't think I'll mind missing any one of them 1 time.

I just don't know what night to change it to, and since it seems like a few of you have been on the the boat before, you might be able to point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance!

Jack

I think it depends on your dining rotation. I would go on Parrat Cay night or Lumineres. The show is nice, but I think Animators Palace is tops. That would be my vote.

Jack, your first rotation in Animators Palate is the night for the "show", so you don't want to miss that night. I usually try to time my Palo dinner for the second AP rotation. :)

So you mean that we only get to see the "show", on the first night? Isn't that when the room changes from black and white to color? I thought that was done each time you are in that resturant. I'm glad I asked.

So, I should either go for the 2nd rotation, or at least NOT on the AP night.

Now, when will I find out the rotation? In the package of docs I'll get the week before we leave? Or is it posted on the website any earlier?

Thanks again for everyone's help.

Jack

Jack, you'll know your rotation when you check in and get your KTWW card, so you can choose your night at that time to avoid your first PA night. Some folks like to do Palo on formal (Mon) or semi-formal (Thu) night to avoid having to get dressed up for another night!

Trying out my picture posting again.

oops, way too big! I will have to figure the sizing thing out soon!

Edited to add: I fixed it! Now my brain has overloaded and is spilling out all my previously stored telephone numbers and a few phrases in Spanish. Hopefully I can remember my name in the morning. :teeth:

Dee - you are so right, not sure why that group got to me. Just plain rude -
Also, just wanted you to know my DH is also a wonderful, physics major (now a software developer) and he would have responded the same way. I feel for ya girlfriend - maybe we can swap ideas in Vegas on how to "get our way" and be "good to them" at the same time. ;)

But wait, - we aren't going to be hanging around with each other every moment of the cruise? (JUST KIDDING!!!!)

Sally - Hope you are feeling better with each passing day!:wizard:

Ok, guys, now I'll be carrying antibacterial stuff with me everywhere I go. I never even REALIZED all the places you could pick stuff up. Yet, I guess my body fights that pretty good, I'm rarely sick!

Jack - wish I could help, but this is my first time, so I'm just following my sister around knowing each and every place we go is the BEST place for us to be at that moment!

Hope I get a chance to chat tomorrow - I'm still waiting for my farrier (horses shoes need to be re-done) to call back and I might be at the stables, we shall see!

7 weeks - that's amazing!!!!

Check out the clock I scored at a local swap meet.
And yes, that is a comforter from the DCL. And no, it's not for sale. :earboy2:

Confess RocketRalph! You stuffed that comforter in your suitcase, didn't you???? :rotfl:

I want one! Cool clock!

It was the loudest concert I have ever been to. I went to Journey when I was 13 my ears rang for a week and this put that to sham.
But for all of you 80's hair band fans  the new singer for journey sounded JUST like Steve Perry. I couldn't believe it. And not being g a huge Def Leopard fan (as my brother in-law is) they put on a fantastic show.

Your so lucky!!!! I love Journey! I remember Steve Perry in his black tight leather pants... :cheer2: :cloud9: :woohoo:

Linda...LOVE the croc pics! You two are so cute!

rocketralph...Are those comforters for sale on the ship? (Not that I want to pack one back to CA, but it would look good in ds' room...)

Peggy...did the farrier call back? Surly's taking tomorrow off, so I'm working on him to chat, too.

Carolyn

Hi all- For those of you who are true Journey fans... remember Sharey (Steve's girlfriend)? Her parents lived a few houses down from my grandparents in the smallest nowhere town you'd ever hear of - Bodfish. YUP, only in CA do you get towns with names like that! :rotfl:

I'll miss chat all together tomorrow. I'm going to a Pampered Chef party! Haven't been to one in years, but I think I may already own all of their products. :teeth:

Hey any of you VIRGINIA people ever been to Roger Brown's in Portsmouth? If you go there say hello to Kay (Mrs. Roger Brown) from Jackie! She used to work here in Phoenix with me. Funny thing is, about 27 years ago I worked with Roger's first wife in Chicago too.

Time to head home and find some grub......
