November 10, 2007 - MAGIC - Eastern

Thanks to everyone for their well wishes on my son's cold. I hope no one else gets sick, we are so close now!

Jajsmom, congrats on your son's pic in the flyer, that's really cool!

Also, I called the Perfect Gift today to order a birthday basket for DS and honestly, I was kind of torn about doing it. Whether it was worth the money, etc. After I talked to the woman (not Shirley, but I forget her name) I was pleasantly suprised. She was so enthusiastic and the way she described what she would create for him was so exciting, it totally made my doubts go away. They are going to customize the food/drinks because DS hates juice, candy, cookies, etc, and decorate it for his birthday with a Mickey theme for "Mickey's boat" as Connor refers to it. He is going to be so excited when he sees it in the room! :cloud9: Anyone who is waffling about ordering a basket, call and talk to the folks at the shop, you may be suprised, as I was.

Michele

We're getting the Romance basket too! I booked the Romance package as a surprise for my DH and the basket comes with it. :yay:

I didn't take the romance package, because it was to much, I didn't know if we would have the time to go to the spa...

But I can't wait to see it!!!!!!!!!!

Michele,
When is Connors exact birthday?

O.k., please bear with me. I am known for four things among my friends and family: (1) compulsive planning; (2) obsessive rule following; (3) having absolutely no artistic or craft-making ability; and (4) randomly bursting into song when someone says something that reminds me of a song lyric. (My kids have probably heard me sing "you can't always get what you want" more times that Mick Jagger has actually sung it!)

Anyway, numbers 1 and 2 are compelling me to ask --

Do we have any rules/guidelines for our Dis Tag game????

Is the plan to leave one gift (not necessarily one item, but just one "gifting event") per participating cabin over the course of the cruise? Or several small things left one at a time?

Are we saying who the gift is from? Or keeping it anonymous?

And, most importantly, will I be disqualified because instead of a nifty fish extender, I just have a small canvas tote bag that I'm hoping to decorate appropriately before the cruise but no promises (see #3 above)??????

Thanks for understanding. :)

Okay...deep breath.....relax. Can you handle it if there are NO RULES? Everyone is pretty much doing what they want. There are no hard and fast rules except to have a good time doing this. I personally will probable make 2 DIS Fairy visits to your statrooms over the week. I am pretty sure that I won't tell you who my gifts are from because I love driving other people crazy. Well not really, but, I like the suspense of trying to figure out where something comes from. I am sure that others will send notes with their gifts. Sometimes the gifts are just for kids, other times for adults! So do whatever you want and have fun. No, you won't be disqualified for a tote!

Maybe some of the other fairies would like to comment here! :santa:

Tell me what I am suppose to do or buy. If not to late I too would like to join in. I am in room 2050 and have been on the orginal list with kid. I too will have a tote. Can you buy pencils with your state name on it or what are we buying or have people bought in the past. I would proably just have a bag on my door, would that be ok? How many should I make or buy of items. Please do give the details and add me to the list. Thanks Lynn B

How many cabins are in so I can think of an item. Can they be different items like one item for this cabin etc? Suggestions please? How do you hang it on the hook, do I have to have a baggie to hook it on. Ok never done this running out of time as we are going up a week early HELP!!!

Too bad the game ISN'T during the cruise -- we could've had quite the friendly rivalry going in Diversions. (Yup, we're from Indy!)[/
My husband has been a fan since Baltimore so he was thrilled that they won last year. I have been told to find something to do this weekend when the game is on. Oh well. Lbullard

You and every non-footballing watching wife in Indy!!!!

I'll be packing with the game on in the background . . .

Ybells and Lbullard
I am so sorry guys. We had to set a cutoff so that we could go out and buy/make the little gifts with an exact count and that was last week.I bought my stuff a month ago and hedged my bets a little and now have exactly the amount I need. Not many people expressed interest when we first started talking about the DIS Fairies/Dis Tag and the group is rather small. I wish that more people would have jumped onboard earlier:guilty: I guess I should have been more vocal about a cutoff date, but, I figured if people were interested they would have asked earlier.

:tink: Our DisFairy has already gotten gifts as well..sorry.

But for those that are involved, we probably will do just one gift. Whenever we can get to it (not day specific) and it will be for the kids. I think we will do a tag (unless this DisFairy runs out of time - which at this point is VERY likely!!)

This place has been hopping! Life's getting in the way of spending much time here lately. I am SOOO looking forwards to this vacation!!! I've got a lot of catch up reading to do here.

I finaly gave the kids' teachers notes about our absence. They both have to get permission from each of their teachers. DS's spanish teacher wants him to email her each day. I think that will NOT be happening.

Lauri

I too purchased my gifts. I got something for the kids and moms. Maybe I'll get something for dads too. Wasn't too sure if the dads were into this or not.

Only 12 days to our cruise.
My DD (15) and I (44) can't wait.
