I'm thinking of bringing $50 in singles and 2 rolls of quarters????? Anyone
else have ideas?

That is what I was thinking too. Plus the other cash as well.

In addition to the Limo reservation I made today, I just had my newspaper and mail stop orders put in. Seems REAL REAL REAL.....like it could be next week! I wish!

Ugh.
I have so much to get done today - and I'm sicksicksick again. This time with a stomach virus! :(
I keep vacillating between "thank goodness it's now and not while I'm on the ship!" and "dammit - I have too much to do today to be lying in bed sick!"

Is anyone else as far behind on getting ready as I am? I feel like we haven't done anything.

Ah well, even if I show up without stuff, I'll still be onboard!!

Happy Birthday ybells!!

Nope, you're not the only one--I have started a packing list and picked up some Dis Tag gifts. Not nearly what I'd planned to have done by now. I don't do well at last minute packing (or anything else for that matter). Plus I KNOW my DS is going to need some clothes -- he is so hard on them, and I'm not sure how many decent short-sleeved shirts he has. We've been passing a virus around here, too.

At least thanks to you I have my door sign printed -- thanks!!! (I used the link you posted for others and modified it with our SR #.)

Feel better!!!!! Don't worry -- we still have time to get everything done!!!

Unfortunately, we will be canceling the Stateroom Tours (on the second sea day) for lack of stateroom volunteers. I've received too many stateroom cancellations to make it worthwhile. I wanted to let you know ASAP so you can adjust your plans for that day.

Instead, is anyone interested in having a DIS lunch on a the second sea day? It would be at 11:45 or so. We could have it at Lumiere's or Parrot Cay, whichever is open for sit-down lunch that day. If so, we would need to get a headcount in advance, and ask the dining staff to set aside a section for our group.

We would love to do lunch, but we have our Palo brunch at 11:30 on Monday. I would be willing to try to change that ressie to Sunday when we board if you get a group together for lunch on Monday, though.

Are you all doing pants for your boy kids? Or jeans? I'm thinking nicer type bermuda shorts would be okay for them, right? Or did someone already ask this question?

Welcome Back Buff 68! Welcome Ann D! WE are fellow Ontarians (Hamiltonians) and we are flying out of Buffalo on the 9th at 1820pm then staying at the Wyndham wingate Orlando. I cant make any plans to meet up as we plan on winging it on board but do hope to put faces to names for the so many people I have been conversing with these past months. I am sure I will see many of you at the kids club and will probably see you all at the Mickey pool! Cant wait!! Only 13 more sleeps!

Do you mean for dinner? I've seen this issue vigorously debated on DISboards before, but personally I think you should dress a 3 year old in whatever he will be comfortable in. If that's shorts, go for it!

Others have very strong opinions about the dress code issue . . .

I will say that once you are on-board and relaxed and having a wonderful time, you'll forget to worry about what you and your kids are wearing!!!!!

I agree with Aidanht, my middle son is 3, and he doesn't want to get dressed up ever. Our last cruise, we usually fed him first, and put him at the nursery for dinner so it wasn't an issue. A lot of people take the dress code very seriously. I personally think whatever your child is comfortable in is fine.

We've got the brunch that day, afterwards we'll be heading to the suite and popping corks for the 3:00 PM thing, so we'll see everyone there. :thumbsup2

Thank you! My friend and I appreciated the input about the pants issue. I think we were feeling bad and don't want to offend anyone!

We just did a Target run and closed the place down. They escorted us out of the store! Whats funny is that my single sister came over earlier and as she was headed out to a Halloween party (dressed as a prom queen w/ a baby in a baby carrier) we were headed out for our big night at Target (That's about as exciting of a nightlife as i've been having these days!) We took our DisBoard packing list and got lots of items checked off!!

Yndygo, I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well. Take it easy...you still have plenty of time to get ready.

Woody, I will check with the rest of the gang about the lunch idea.

Hello people, 12 days to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I read some post about a disboard packing list..I would love to have it if you could give me the link to it!

Thanks:goodvibes

Hi FrenchSnowWhite. Can't believe we are getting so close! :woohoo: I've gotten several packing lists and tips from this board; I'd recommend that you check the main DIS DCL FAQ thread - it has a couple of links to packing lists, tip lists, etc. Sorry I couldn't get you more specific info on where the ultimate packing list is located....I've forgotten where I went and how I got there!! :sad2:

12 days YAY!!!:cool1: I think that I accessed the list from the main page under FAQ section. Hope you find it. It really was very helpful. So excited, I found pop-up mesh hampers at the $1 store. I hope they will help keep things organized.
