November 10, 2007 - MAGIC - Eastern

Hey all! Just checked on line and saw that our family was assigned stateroom # 5639. Anyone know anything about the logistics of this room? Is it a category 12 or were we lucky enough to get an upgrade? Any info would be appreciated.

It's a Cat.11 on deck 5, aft.

Just found this thread over the weekend. Myself(28), DH(29), and DD(3) will be setting sail on the 10th. First Disney cruise for all. DH and I have been on 2 prior cruises and loved them.

DH read on another board tonight that the last trip for the Magic saw 25ft seas the first night.

Look forward to going back through past posts.

Welcome TinksMommy! Glad you found us!!

Well I've tendered before, but was hoping we wouldn't have to with the DD... ah well... it's better than a water taxi!! :P

Thanks for the info that we are tendering in St. T's... I'll still keep my fingers crossed that we end up docking there instead... but since we're not doing much there excursion-wise, I guess it just means we won't hurry down to the boats after breakfast. :)

I sniggled your Cruise logo. I hope that that was OK!

Yéééééééééééééé! I've got my cabin number, can someone tell me if its good??? Its 6305

We booked a gty 12, what cat. is this cabin?????

(sorry but I'm not very good understanding those kind of things!!!)

Manon,
Can't tell if it is a 12/11? It is a standard inside cabin. Looks like an 11 and it is very close to our cabins! We are in 6612/6614. Go to the cruise website and go on the virtual ship tour, deck 6. It is pretty much right in the middle.

Are there direct flights from Montreal to Orlando? Is there a specific airline and time you are hoping for?

Did you see the past comment about the 25 foot seas for the magic?

Yes Cheryl there is some direct flight from Montreal to Orlando, but I don't even know what airlines company we're gonna fly!!!!!!!!!! DCL hasn't told us yet...:sad2:

I'm very excited to have my cabin #, but I would have prefered to have my flight details before, for me its more important, because we have to organise ourself for that day....

25 foot seas means that the waves were extra big is that it????????:confused3

Don't worry, I'm sure it wont happen to us!!!!!!!!! We are to much of a nice group for the sea to do that to us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:lmao:

Welcome Tink's Mommy!

Is anyone else disappointed that they are going to have the ship decorated for Christmas while we are on board? There was just a thread that posted the information if you want to check it out. I know it sounds silly, but I was bummed - having never sailed DCL before I wanted to see the ship without decorations for a specific holiday. I love Christmas, but it won't even be Thanksgiving yet for another week after we sail. :confused3

Am I crazy to be bummed?

Sorry you don't want to see them...................

But I'm very glad we are going to see them!!!!!!!!!!:goodvibes

No way will I be dissappointed! Bring it on! :santa: It will just make me think how far behind I am for Christmas shopping! "Hey kids.......this is your present from Santa!" NOT! That would never fly. My kids TOTALLY still believe in the MAGIC of SANTA! :santa:

Does anyone whose been there before have ideas for VERY inexpensive things to do on St. Marteen? DH and I are on our own there and we thought about just exploring off the boat, but I'm not sure how much there is to do....any ideas?

The wife and I went to St Marteen on our honeymoon cruise with Royal Caribbean and it is very pretty. We spent the entire day walking around the town looking into shops and it was wonderful. Just my 2 cents but we had a good time just being together with no plans there because it was so quaint.

I may be in the minority here but I am excited about the tendering for the kids. I think my DS & DD will get a kick out of the "small boat" ride from the ship to shore. I have tendered a bunch in the past and there is a little extra waiting in line but nothing horribly long...at least not on RCCL...this will be the 1st disney cruise for me or any of our family.

Christmas dec. is great. We were planning on using some of the pictures from the cruise for Xmas cards. Not everybody gets to have Mickey with them on Xams cards.

Tendering is not the worst thing in the world. Only thing to remember is not to wait until the last min. to get back on the boat.

I know our room is a cag. 8( I think) will post exact room later tonight when I get home. How soon should Disney make air travel arragements available? DH checks every night.

Are they supposed to all be up or are they beginning the process of putting thme up during our cruise??

I seem to remember that it takes some time to get them all in place, so the ship may be pretty much un-touched when we board and get gradually decorated as we go along??

I don't remember where I read this, but, one Dis'er said that every morning they woke up and the little elves had been up decorating while the cruisers were sleeping.:santa:
