Question for you??? Can I sign up with my husband to share the Martini Tasting Program. I fear that after tasting 4-5 of them I might be swaying in my shoes. Can two people share the reservation for that?

What on board programs are you looking forward to doing or have done in the past on the Disney Cruise Ship?

Lynn:cool1:

Welcome Lynn!

Sorry I can't answer any of your questions but I'm sure some one here can :)

Getting close to that 90 day mark!

Anyone know how they charge the Martini Tasting? I would like to share it with my husband. I fear to much Martinis might put me over. Could we pay for one and then he and I share?

:goodvibes

I did the martini tasting on my last cruise. You purchase your tickets in advance from guest services and they charge your account. You need the ticket at the tasting or I believe they will charge you again. I do not know if you are allowed to share, I would either ask guest services or at the tasting itselft (if you are going to do regardless). I am not a big drinker and they do give you 4 full martini's, so I just had sips of all of them and drank a little bit more of the one I enjoyed the most (chocolate martini, yum!:thumbsup2 ). Hope this helps.

On our last cruise, Mrs. Woody and I went to the Wine Tasting. The staff collected a ticket from each person who attended, whether or not they they intended to finish their "samples."

Hi. I made my ressies last week - we got the REAS package so we could book at 105 days. I still stayed up til midnight, and thanks to the board, figured out how to log on just after midnight (EST). Got all the ressies I asked for, and it was very exciting. Made the cruise seem more real somehow!! It will be here before we know it....!!

You are correct for us 90 day folks it is the 13th ! I will be up to midnight the night before waiting to make them!!!!:dance3:

I recieved my planning calendar from Disney Cruise Line and it said I could start making my ressies on Aug. 12th. Can anyone verify, does it mean after midnight on the 11th? or midnight after the 12th? Also last year when I made ressies it wasn't until 3:00 a.m. have they changed it to midnight?

Apparently they've changed it to midnight EST. There's a thread about it on the regular board, something like "early access" if you want to look it up. So if you've been told you can start making ressies on the 12th, I think it should be available as of shortly after midnight (of the 11th into the 12th). Hope that makes sense. Anyway, it's nice that us east coasters don't have to stay up til 3 AM any more.

Hello fellow travelors. I am from Loudoun County close to the Northern Va guys. Anyways trying to choose what night to do Palo. I don't want to miss any of the fun nights dining at the first rotation if I miss anything. I know Animators P has the fun change but what about the others on your first dining rotation through, ok to miss? Should I then assume I should book it for the 4 night?
So confussed.

Are people planning on getting together while on board? Was not sure if that had been discussed.

Looking for good airfare from Dulles Airport if anyone has found any.

Thanks Lynn

Have an only son turning 9 on the ship anyother kids out there?;)

Hi Lynn. We're in Loudoun too! That said, can't help you with airfare from Dulles - we're driving down. My kids are teens so that doesn't help you much either. Re Palos, it's a tough call. The 4th night is Pirate Night, so we didn't want to miss the festivities in the regular restaurants; 5th night menu was probably least interesting to us, but we're hoping to be in Lumieres that night and don't want to miss that. So, we opted for the last night, after Castaway Cay. Not perfect, but as I said, it's not an easy choice - at least for us since we've never been on a Disney Cruise before. Re a DIS board get-together, I don't recall anything being planned, but I don't check this board regularly so I might have missed it. I'm sure other posters will be able to fill you in more.

Hello fellow Loudouners....we moved from Leesburg 3 years ago to here in Central PA...Since my parents are still in Ashburn we are flying out of Dulles!
We got direct flights on Southwest for like $175....we are flying down on Friday and staying with a friend Fri Night....Our flight departs on Saturday after the cruise at around Noon....This will be our 6th DCL cruise..so feel free toask away with any questions!

Wow we are all so close. Ok so what night would you make reservations for Paolo? I don't want to miss anything really special and would prefer not to eat 2 meals, your thoughts? Being first time cruisers I don't know what day I can make reservations online, anyone know? Favorite excursion on Eastern to do and why. My son is turning 9 on the boat want to do something he might enjoy. There seem to be so many choices. I wonder if any of the excursions are worth doing on my own not through Disney, your thoughts. Finally I am trying to get an idea of room 2050 looked at the stateroom section, but nothing written about it. Thanks jjgrv and ocean girl your kids ages??

Lynn

JJgrv do you have pictures of the ship that you have been on or pictures of what you all wore to different meals? Pictures help me to figure out what to expect. Thanks Lynn

 Woohoo! We paid of our balance today in preparation for making ressies this weekend. Now it feels close!

Lynn, I can't post my pictures here (I'm not digital), but I can tell you that I usually wear capris and a top to dinner every night. On formal night I wear a gown, and on semi-formal night I wear a cocktail dress. I usually wear the same cocktail dress to dinner at Palo, and I wear capris or a casual skirt to Palo brunch.

Me DH's birthday is the first day of the cruise, so I had travel agent note it to embarass him the first night. We're hoping to start in Lumiere's--our families favorite restaurant.

Hi Lauri

How do you get your nice gowns and dress to the cruise without them being wrinkled. I find a garmet bag seems not to work everything seems wrinkled.

Also could my 8 year old wear nice shorts and polo on non semi and formal nights? What about my husband or even me on non formal and semi nights have you seen nice shorts and polo shirts? Not at Paolos

How old is your dh going to be. How do we embarres them mine will turn 9. THnaks Lynn
