November 10, 2007 - MAGIC - Eastern

Hi Donna. Greetings from Newtown. Boy, you guys sure move around alot. I wouldn't mind moving to Florida. Is your sister and her family going on this cruise? I thought I read she was considering RCCL this year.

Lauri

Hi Lauri -

Yes, we're on the move again. Long story but in short, the husband's "dream job" that we moved to Boston for turned into a nightmare! He's been working in FL since April now and we move around August 1st. No, Rachel and crew are not joining us this year and trying another cruise line but they plan to come back with us in 2008. Hope all is well in Newtown!

Hi, everyone! I am starting to freak out at my lack of compulsive planning for this cruise, and feel a very strong need to choose our excursions asap!!!!

I'm sure most of you have already chosen . . . so what are you doing???

No need to panic!!!!;)

You still have plenty of time!!!

We are doing the French Riviera Rendezvous at Orient Bay (St.Martin)
and St-John's Island Tour.:goodvibes

We're doing the Lord Sheffield pirate cruise on St Maarten. I already booked it and we're really excited about it! It's a private company, not through DCL.

For St Thomas, I'm still undecided. :confused3

I was wondering, did everyone receive the pre-cruise packet? We never got one :( I feel so left out! LOL

What is that pirate cruise all about???

And yes I received my pre-cruise packet last week.

My DH & I were supposed to go on Lord Sheffeild in 2005 and we mixed up the time and missed it by an hour. I felt so bad! Of course, I took the extra $100 and went back to the jewelry store and upgraded my earrings that I bought in the morning.

I think that we are shopping and going to the beach right in town in St. Martin. I don't know what we are doing in St. Thomas, maybe going to Coral World & Coki beach.

Linda

HI All,

We will be cruising also, so please add us to the list.

Me 38
DH 40
DS 5
DD 9mo now, 1 yr at cruise time.

1st Disney Cruise!

Does anyone have similar aged kids that might want to do a private tour at one of the ports? I want to be able to see as much as possible but still cater to the kids, i.e. stop for a snacks, visit the beach etc. If anyone is interested drop me a note and I will look into the costs.

Thanks,
Lisa:cool1:

After much thought, we're probably going to do the Under 2 Flags Tour in St. Maarten, and do the Water Island Bicycle Tour in St. Thomas. we're actually going to book these through Disney--we usually book on our own, but it just seemed easier this time, and not much difference in expense.

French Snow White--
I hope to hear about your St. John's Island Tour. I really wanted to go to St. John's this year, but we're doing another Eastern next year, so we'll do it then. DH wanted to do something more active.

Lauri

Welcome Lisa!

It looks really fun & I've read alot of good reviews about it. I like that we can bring the youngest kids with us too. Alot of the Disney excursions will not take them. We did the same thing on our last cruise. We booked the Capt Marvins trip to Stingray City b/c DCL wouldn't allow our DD who was 1 at the time to go on their excursion. She had a great time! (As did the rest of us)

Linda, just curious, you said you missed it and used the $100. Did they refund your money even though the cruise ship came in?

When we went the cost was only $50 per person and you paid when you boarded. I think they have grown due to such great reviews. I was really upset about missing that. It was the one thing that I had really planned on and the day before everyone but three of us went on an snorkeling excursion and had a great time, we went shopping and to the beach and it really wasn't great but I kept saying "just wait until tommorow when I go on my pirate ship"!

This will be our 7th cruise. DH and DW from WI. staying in a cat. 10, obstructed view room.pirate:

Giving us a bump from page 3!

Welcome Sully! I think we may have been on the same cruise 2 years ago--the first Western that stopped in Costa Maya after the huricane--11/05/05. Was that you? I think I remember your name.

Lauri

We moved from MA last July to FL. Where abouts in MA are you? We last lived in Worcester. Now living outside of Tampa. Where in FL are you moving to?

I'm thinking it's about time to make our final payment in order to sign up for things at the 90 day mark. That means its getting close:banana: . Those in suites should be getting excited too, as you can start booking any day now. Let us know what you get--and don't take all the Palo brunch ressies:rotfl: .

Lauri

OK - who knows what day our final pmt is due and when Castaway Club members can start booking Palo reservation. I should just pull out the calendar and look but I figure someone else has already done this.

On another note - Jetblue changed the time on our return flight so now I have to call and try and change the flight because they have us getting in at 12:09 am:eek:

Hi, add us in to that Nov 10 trip. This will be our first Cruise and I can't wait. I feel like I am researching a term paper learning all the neat things I can. I purchased the passporter book about the Disney Cruise and it is very good. I am 27 dh 39 and my son will turn 9 on this trip. We are located in room 2050. Anyone know anything about the room?

We are thinking about doing the Banana Boat and Sting Ray at CC anyone do that? My husband really wants to go to St John for snorkle, but I read it takes about an hour and half to get there then you only get like 2 hours. Can anyone suggest anything in St John?

I would love to meet new people. So please keep us in mind. Lynn:cloud9:
