November 10, 2007 - MAGIC - Eastern

we will be there early afternoon at the pool!

We are on late seating since we booked pretty late as Disney cruises go. AT first I was really freaked out, but now I'm okay with it. We're just planning on feeding Connor around 5 and having a snack ourselves at that time. I'm figuring I'm going to gain weight no matter what so I might as well enjoy myself! I don't have any preference for rotation, having never cruised before.

We are late seating too - I was going to try and change at first but then I decided we usually eat late at home and it is so hard to get ready and be at dinner at 5:30 or 6:00pm. We will see how this works out for us.

Boy the board has been busy. Now that my DD 1 st birthday is over and Halloween, I can start packing and planning for the cruise with 100% energy. My DH is use to the board and the group planning since I did the same thing before of Princess cruise 5 years ago. We has such a ball with the friends we made from the Cruise Critic board, so he is not freaked out by all my time on the baord for this cruise.

Anyway my husband wants to bring his tux, but I told him it would save a bunch of room if he just brought 1 suit.

Based on the questions going on the board:
1) we are on the early seating
2) staying at the Country Inn and Suites
3) we would love to come to the Roy Suite on Monday at 3. Are the kids OK to come?
4) what time is the morning walk and meeting place?

Look forward to meeting you all!

1) we are early seating. not caring which rotation we are on.
2) we are staying at Coronado Springs Resort at Disney for 2 nights before the cruise.

i'm getting so excited.

I hoping for the LAPLAPL dining as well. My DD is 15. My understanding is grouos with older children or no children usually get this rotation.

Do you dress up every night you go to Lumiere's?

We have Early seating and I do not have a rotation preference. No experience here either.

Leslie,
I hope you like Coronado Springs! I was really considering staying there after the cruise but chose Carribean Beach Club instead. My brother is an Architect for Disney and this was one of his first projects!

What does your name mean on the DIS? Forgive me if this was asked before.

Me - PURPLE My Favorite color, Princess (My Girls) 4 = number of kids.

My family is from northern Missouri, in fact my great uncle was a dispatcher for the Santa Fe at the Marceline depot, which has now been turned into one of the 2 museums dedicated to Walt.

My maternal grand and great grand parents lived there, I spent many weekends & summers in Marceline, probably more than Walt did, some of them in the quintessetial small town park, complete with gazebo / bandstand, fishing pond and a retired steam engine we all climbed on as kids - with the name "Santa Fe & Disneyland RR" painted on the coal car.

So the name says it all....

Cool! :hippie:

I still will stand in line, however, and see/hear what the rebooking lady has to say about 2008's Thanksgiving cruise! I have braced myself for the sticker shock!:scared1:

Is anyone else goin' for rebooking onboard? If you are, I highly recommend you do it early in the cruise cause last year was a nightmare waiting in line and not enough DCL resources to make it smooth.

DIS NURSE from Oregon:rolleyes:

Hello Dis Nurse,
I am seriously considering rebooking too. I was actually thinking of the Halloween Double Dip. Although after seeing the wild weather this week I have to think hard about it. I will have to book 2 SR's . Do you think they would let me rebook 2 SR but not have the whole family entered at the begining? Those charges will put my hubby over the edge! So, I would rebook with 1 Adult/1 child in each room and I would add more children later.

That was what we did when we re-booked last year. We just booked my husband & I and added the kid later. I don't think we got the discount on the kids but it worked.

Is anyone staying at the Marriott Residece Inn in Port Canveral the night before?
We are staying with friends. The Residence Inn has received many positive reviews.

Woody

. . . We'll probably recognize several people on the ship. I have the cruise photo from the meet in the Promenade Lounge last year that Jason took.
Now that was a big DIS group!

Woody

. . . Poll time! Do you have early or late seating? We have late, and are hoping for LAPLAPL rotation.
We have late seating and will take any rotation as long as they don't run out of food.

Woody

Who carries the luggage, you or DH?

Woody (who's bringing his tux)

. . . Based on the questions going on the board:

. . . 4) what time is the morning walk and meeting place?
The morning walks are on sea days at 7:30. We will meet outside the spa/fitness center. Let me know if you would like to join us.
