Oh, they are all magnificent. We were blown away on our first DCL cruise when we sailed on the Wonder. That's why when someone asks which ship they should go on for their first cruise, I suggest a classic ship. They're absolutely beautiful, but the Dream is a step above.

A lot of people on the boards have posted that they like the classic ships better because they're smaller and more intimate feeling than the Dream class. It depends on what type of person you are. I'm more about the newer, bigger and more modern.

Thanks for that. You sound the same taste as us. We would prefer the bigger modern. I think we might try the fantasy next but am so in love with the Dream. Its just magical! I cant sleep thinking about embarking! The announcements...The Sedley-Burke family.. As you enter..

We have been on the Wonder both previous cruises. This will be the first time on the Dream. Looking forward to seeing the difference!

Anybody have suggestions for things you MUST take on a cruise? Swimming shorts and Suncreen packed! Do I need anything else.. Lol

Travel Alarm Clock - I consider myself to be reasonably tech-savvy, but I could not figure out how to set the alarm on the clock in the stateroom, even with the directions.
Travel Packs of Tissues - The ones provided are kind of rough.
Pump Handsoap - We don't like using bar soap to wash our hands.
Air Freshener - For the bathroom, no need to say more.

Yes def Alarm clock me too re consider myself tech-savvy ( before being medically retired at 35 I worked for Microsoft in the UK ) and I could not figure it out lol.

We have got Wav phone holders , we bought them on etsy and they have a clip on them to clip to a lanyard or belt. We thought it might help to prevent loss as there is quite a fine for doing so I understand!

As the shops only open when the ship is at sea we take medication such as paracetamol ( your tylemol or advril? pain killers basically) in case we need, Sea sickness tablets and toothpaste deodorant etc was very expensive onboard.

Castaway cay is very hot. A cap!

I second that with pixie dust galore! DW and I will be sitting on plane in mickey ears soon..if anyone complains I will get out my full pirate outfit on complete with eye patch and captains hook.

I have finally turned my AC off and it is a FRIGID 69 degrees outside tonight! I may have to break out the fuzzy slippers and fire up the patio grill for making Smores.

LOL. We are about 20 min. down from Port Canaveral and it was a high of 85 yesterday, the low was 74. At the beach it was a little chilly to us though, because of the wind. We all said, oh we might want to pack jackets, My husband laughed at us (we are originally from Seattle, Wa).

Weather report goes out to the 30th right now, it says high of 76 here in FL and 80 in Castaway Cay! , hopefully the next couple of days after that stay up there!

It was 55 here yesterday near London. Any improvement on that and we are two very happy blighties from the UK...

Roll on Castaway cay! Btw those sand wheelchairs. Disney thanks for the thought but have you attempted to use them lol. I think I will shuffle on the path with my cane. For those wheelchair bound. Poor souls. Stay away from the beach! Anyway I am 41 and a child of the 70s so I am forever mentally broken by Jaws... I dont do water...
