Hi!

We fly from the UK on the 26th October. Staying at SSR. Also going MNSSP on the 31st! This is mine and DW 2nd cruise. Very excited! I agree the days appear to be getting slower.....

Just looked how full the ship is (mainly concierge) and 5 out of the 6 concierge suites with veranda on deck 11 are still open and 2 out of 14 on deck 12! What do you think the chances are of upgrades for someone like us in a 4D? Not sure we would do it, seems like most posts I have seen it is an additional thousand. Since we got the resident discount and all, that would be a whole lot to add to the cruise!! Any thoughts?

Where did you find this information? Would like to find out how many 1 bed suites are still available , may upgrade also if its priced reasonably. If you like your space and the cabin is an important part of the vacation go for it if the price is right.

How many DCL cruises has everyone been on?

Magic - 2 (2004 & 2008)
Wonder - 1 (2001)
Dream - this one will be our 2nd (2011 & 2012)
Fantasy - none, yet ;)

This is our second DCL cruise

1st 2011 - The Dream 3 night ( my 40th birthday last October )

Got another booked in 2013.... Oh yes we are hooked!

We have also sailed NCL but DCL was much better :-)

Our second cruise!

2004- 7 night Disney Magic
2012 - 3 night Disney Dream....can't wait.

:)

I had read a couple posts on other threads that talked about upgrades being offered at port. I just went to the website as if I was going to book, to then look at see what rooms are available on the map.

Oh and on the other post, this is our first cruise :cool1:

Magic-December 2010 and 2011
Dream-2012
Will be booking the next one while onboard

For those that have sailed on other DCL ships what is your fav so far and why?
The Dream is my favorite, so far (haven't been on the Fantasy yet) because it's newer, bigger and has cool new technology. The classics are nice and I would probably go on them again, but I fell in love with the Dream on our last cruise.

Thanks thats interesting we have only been on The Dream of the Disney fleet and were blown away by it. Leagues above the other ships we have been on with another cruise line ( even though we were pleased at the time ) . I just wondered if they were all as magnificent.

Woho! Fantasy land preview booked for the day after we get off the Ship!

Oh, they are all magnificent. We were blown away on our first DCL cruise when we sailed on the Wonder. That's why when someone asks which ship they should go on for their first cruise, I suggest a classic ship. They're absolutely beautiful, but the Dream is a step above.

A lot of people on the boards have posted that they like the classic ships better because they're smaller and more intimate feeling than the Dream class. It depends on what type of person you are. I'm more about the newer, bigger and more modern.
