Also, just scaned the last few posts and there was a quetion on the photo packages. I would like to mention you should do a search on the main board as the packages are a hot topic and did change recently. You an also prebuy photo credits on the disneycruise.com site as a pre-sailing gift, but to yourself. It used to be there were certain packages available there that are different than onboard, but I'm guessing you can find a recent post from someone that details all the current pricing.

Hi everyone!! I just booked this cruise over the weekend (couldn't resist those Fl resident rates!). The whole family (me, dh, ds12, dd10 and ds8) is so excited.

My friend and her dh & son have booked the cabin beside us. Can't get here soon enough!

No, we haven't started an FE. I don't do them. If there's any interest, feel free to start one.

FE stands for Fish Extender and/or Fish Exchange. On the classic ships all the staterooms have those silver fish on the wall next to the door. DCL uses it to deliver letters to you. On the new ships there are other sea creatures besides the fish. People on cruise meet threads organize little gift exchages and put these gifts in the fish extenders. Some people make the FE, while others buy them online. I have never participated in this myself.

Thank you for posting about the FL rate! I didn't know anything about it, so I started doing some research.
My TA just called me and said he put us in a 5A forward. I didn't really want to be forward and I knew we'd lose some space inside the room (we had an 8B), so I asked him about the 4D's I saw for the same rate. He tried to talk me out of it because it was GTY, but I said I was ok with that.

So, we got the same size cabin plus a verandah (never had one before) and saved $648.

You can search the forums here for lots of FE information and there is an FE or Fish Extender facebook page you can search for that shows examples of gifts.

It is fun to participate. My kids have already starting asking me about the 'door pocket thingy' as they call it!

I booked directly thru Disney Cruise site and it assigned my room # in the confirmation. No other option was given & we had to pay in full when we booked.

I wonder why my TA said he could only book mine GTY. When I was looking online there were plenty of 4D rooms available. Maybe I'll give them a call.

I have never done this before so you will have to excuse me if I get this wrong but now I have read up about the fish extender I really want to start one for our cruise. I am happy to organise this so do you think I should start a new thread or include it in this one?
