November 1, 2008 "Election Day Castaways!"

were unimpressive, but just getting them signals the time to leave is near. Does anyone know how far in advance the tags for the Magical Express comes when you go to Disney before. I haven't gotten mine yet and was wondering if I should start worrying.

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

We have used it many times and it seems like it comes almost 2 weeks to the day in advance, if you don't have them by Mon. Call Disney.
I am so happy to hear everyone has their information documents....:sad2: WE don't have anything yet....
I can say however that DS14's pirate wig came in today along with our Lime Green Castaway shirts.

We have our ME passes, not our cruise documents- you're not alone! By the way, nice new photo!:cutie:

RE: Magnets...

Has anyone tried laminating the picture, then putting the magnetic tape on it? I happen to have laminating sheets AND magnetic tape in house and want to use that up before I buy magnetic sheets.

I actually put the magnets on back and then laminated it. If you laminate first, the magnets can be pulled off the back...all I could imagine was coming back to our cabin with a bunch of magnets on our door and no pictures...:rotfl:

THANK YOU !! Not bad for a cell phone pic ....:lmao:
I figured I better put a better pic of me on here so I can find everyone.
DH FINALLY got excited today about trip. He was speaking with a client and he apparently has done DCL in past. Why is it that we DW's can sit and chat about the cruise all day long and we get a ...
" uh,ok dear, that's nice...should be fun"
but a guy will in general conversation say to DH " OH DUDE, we had a blast " and now it's the next best thing to sliced bread? :confused3

Called WDW today to check on our tags...then the bad news came...:sad1: they (someone) had messed up our ressie and had my brother's name on both ressies...kinda wierd since I booked it using my free night (the result of a really bad experience for DD's 2nd b-day)...anyhoo, got it all straighten out and should be getting them in the next week or so...

got an e-mail from AAA today saying cruise docs had arrived...left work a little so I could make it before they closed...yea!!!:yay: :yay:

Also got absentee ballot in mail today...DH got his Friday so I was getting worried...another thing I can now check of my growing list of to dos...:woohoo:

oh yea, another thing....only 24 more days!!!! :cheer2:

Hi all!!:wave2:

Starting to get really freaked that the cruise is sooo close and I won't finish everything on my "to do list" for the cruise.

Still working on FE gifts
Haven't started packing
Need to get dress altered
Finish printing magnets
Ship box
Get haircuts for all of us
Book rental car
buy halloween costumes for boys
etc., etc, etc......I'm getting a headache:eek:

Getting there is half the fun.

Hang in there Buku.

I went to Target and picked up my paperbacks for the trip. Gotta have a book for the plane!!

School had bookfair this week and I was able to grab 2 John Grisham books in hardcover for $10 each...WHAT A BARGAIN !! Now let's see how much time I have to actually read them.

Now THAT is a fabulous idea! Glad I hadn't started laminating anything yet!! Thanks!

We were happy to receive our docs today. I was surprised they no longer came in the nice "treasure box" they used in the past. When I paged through them I noticed our transport voucher that is to be used from the port to MCO said just the opposite "from Airport/Resort to port". When I called DCL they had it correct in their system. She told me I wouldn't even have to use the coupon since it will be on our "KTTW card. Once again everything is "go for sailing"! T-23 days and counting!

Since I booked my hotel ressie with a travel agent, I guess I'll have to check with her about the magical express passes. They wouldn't even let me book them myself since she had made our ressie.

Tried on clothes that came - jeans too small - 4 shirts (only needed 2) to possibly wear to dinner...two the DH liked. One was okay but not terrific and one he said made me look pregnant and since I'm heavy already I did not need to look like I was expecting. So I got my wish...2 new shirts...phew...glad that worked out.

Am home tomorrow - supposed to be repenting but I'll be making magnets, my packing list, figuring out what I still need to get and doing laundry. Maybe I'll amuse the kids in between..who knows

:dogdance: :mickeyjum :tigger: :sulley:

I received my cruise documents yesterday, but I am wondering if I am missing something? What did everyone receive in theirs? I only got luggage tags for my DCL transfers, and a brown travel booklet containing my mailing information, important notices, transfer coupons and forms for onboard airline check in. There was also separate flyers (with just information, not documents): a checklist for cruise, list of documentation for US citizenship and Halloween gift packages.
I thought maybe there should be more things. I did my online checkin, so maybe that is why I didn't receive more? Is there anything I'm missing?
I emailed my travel agent and waiting for her to get back to me.

I received the same thing. Physically, nothing special. However, knowing that our cruise is close enough to have "docs/tickets" is exciting!

Sadly there is not anything missing ;)
The docs are more of a symbol of something to be excited about.

I got a boat load of stuff to do today.

Not the least of which is to call the dentist re: my tooth :scared1: I HATE the dentist. The last crown I had on was THE WORST pain I have ever had in my life! I am not sure I want to go back to that dentist. I have to find out if anyone else in our area takes our ins.

Wish me luck! I HATE the dentist!

I HATE that they didn't respect me when I said I was in pain. Let's see, there were tears POURING into my ears. Do you think I was in PAIN? They had the nerve to ask me if something was wrong! HELLO, there are tears coming out my eyes. I have an incredible pain tolerance ask dh ...

I hate the dentist!!!!

I hate the dentist!!!!

I hate the dentist!!!!

Were they not supposed to put a sample of those first lunch shrimp in the docs packet just to tease us? :confused3 Mine was misisng too! :rotfl: :lmao:

My BIL, Bob, who had the stroke on 9/7/08, was finally cleared to have the cardiac catheterization. He had it on Tuesday, and everything looks good. He is cleared to fly and cruise. It's a big relief because we were afraid for the last several weeks that my sister's family would have to back out and submit a travel insurance claim. Then, we would have had a quandry because the travel agent said we might be able to do the same because we are in the same travel party. Wow! Am I glad it didn't come down to that!

We received our travel packs. I started packing last weekend and completed about 90%. For the most part, I have a list of missing items. I'm glad I packed early. I realized I still need to buy a few things and have some dry cleaning done.

Staci and I also finished our fish extenders. There are a few imperfections, but they are very good for our first attempt with them and the sewing machine.

We sail in three weeks and two days. I can't believe it is finally here!!!!!

We haven't yet received any documentation up my way. Looking forward to going and parying that there is nothing that comes up that might prevent us from going (there are some health issues in the gf's family)...

We won't even think of packing until the night before we head to FL... We've got the cruise paking down to a science now, as this is number 3... I wish I were more excited but it's tempered somewhat as I REALLY loved the Eastern...

When did you go on the eastern? What was so wonderful about it?

We are camping this weekend at Assateague Island campground in Md. for our annual trip with friends from church.
Then we can concentrate on packing for the cruise.
