November 1, 2008 "Election Day Castaways!"

IF I got upgraded!

Y'all wouldn't be able to keep my fingers still :dance3:

We would hit 2000 posts by the 13 of Oct:lmao:

What's in the package??

Your bill ??? :rotfl: Nah, we already paid for it.
Upgrade notices....now that would be something to :woohoo: about

Those are some seriously psychodelic shirts....LOVE THEM !!! I have used that Zazzle site for many projects. Karate/Football etc. We went with a pirate themed lime green shirt....I put my screen name on back of mine, so that you all can find me. DH and DS's are plain, they have no code names you'd recognize....

Thanks- we made them at HHI at the Disney resort. Actually, the we is my DH for 10 minutes and a bunch of nice CM's for an hour!!:rotfl: Boys were too busy having other fun to make a CRAFT!:rotfl: Good to know about that site- I look forward to seeing yours!!

By the way, the UPS didn't work for me, but I'm sure it's because I used alot of points for most of our fare, so it probably went to DVC. I will be calling there tomorrow just to be sure, though!

since we have season passes and really haven't gone this season...they started their fright fest this weekend. we didn't stay for the scary stuff, we'll do that on a Sat night with friends in a couple of weeks. the trick or treat area was pretty lame...the kids got 3 mini chocolate bars...a day ticket costs slightly less than disney but disney has so much more.

:lmao:

I don't want it... actually at this point I will take what I can get...but it would be nice if it was for the cruise...:) Maybe I should sprinkle a little magic about and I will get that early dinner seating...:wizard: maybe i should try some pixie dust...pixiedust:

Ok, so there is not really much IN the package to get excited about.
It is the doccuments you need to fill out for your cruise along with some luggage tags that you put on your bags before getting to the ship. They are one time use tags that tell the baggage handlers where to bring the bags when they get on the ships.
And the Documents you can fill out online and print off.

That being said... The PACKAGE itself is very exciting!!!
It means that the cruise is right around the corner and the doccument packet is tangible proof that it is going to happen!

The first time I tried, I put the 23 in front of my confirmation number and it didn't work. The next time I just tried my disney confirmation number and it did work. Make sure to put in US and your zip code. I did it for me and our friends...

Sooo, somebody asked what was in the cruise document package -

I don't recall exactely from my trip last year, but I did go through my old folder and found that we got a coupon type booklet called "Your Travel Booklet."

It contained some instructional messages and disclaimers,
your bus transfers if you booked the ground transportation
your flight information if you booked your flights through DCL
and I guess it had a page that they took when you check in at the terminal because my first page from last year is gone.

The cruise documents also contained your oh so important luggage tags.

I hate to be a party pooh-er, but they the cruise documents package was not very exciting. I remember being let down after all the anticipation thinking "that's it?"

The first package you receive when you make your reservation is better
because you get the postcard with Mickey and Minnie to put on your fridge.

After your trip, we received a "shoreside survival kit" which was cute, with a cd (that I still haven't watched yet) and castaway club cards.

Thanks for the tracking info - I think I'll go see just to make sure my neighbors didn't get my stuff!!!

Today I did a little online shopping- I bought an underwater camera and a pair of binoculars.:rolleyes1 This cruise needs to happen soon, because every day on Dis I find some new cool thing someone had on their cruise that I think I can't live without...and I'm going to run out of cash before I have my first dip in the Goofy pool!!:rotfl:

It's a cute postcard - 4 x 6

Mickey and Minnie in their beachwear at Castaway Cay with the ship in the background (I'm gonna say it is the Magic pictured but I've got a 50% chance of being either right or wrong)

Fake stamps and postmarked from Castaway Cay

"HiYa Pal,

Gosh! It's great to hear that your'e coming on a Disney Cruise. There's a lot of big doin's going on out here! I can't wait to see ya on the ship! See Ya Real Soon! Mickey"

I keep it on the fridge as it makes me smile!

P.S. Forgive my typo's - in my cruise document post - I'm bushed!

Hello everyone. Is it to late to join the pre-cruise excitement?

We (hubby and I) just booked a few weeks ago for a last minute fall vacation with my in-laws and some of our best friends. We are really looking forward to the trip. I am very excited to be back on the ship. I really think cruising is becoming my favorite vacation.

Of course as a total Disney girl, I am totally biased. In fact, my DH and I got married on Castaway Cay!:bride:

Thanks for letting me crash the party!

Glad to have you along! It's never too late to join our crew... unless you arrive November 8th!

You have been added to the manifest on page 1. That makes you official "Election Day Castaways"! Hope you can join our Dis Meet Saturday afternoon at 3pm in the Promanade Lounge. Nice informal gathering, and a way to meet all of the "Castaways".

Do you have any excursions planned. Have you cruised with DCL before?

Again, welcome aboard, and be on the lookout for pirates!pirate:

I couldn't get it to work for me. I don't know if I did something wrong. How did you finally get yours to work?

1. Using my DCL ressie which started with 23

2. Put USA in the country & my zip code.

Let us know if that doesn't work

My documents are coming Wed!!
Mindelmouse helped me get the tracking to work, but now I just tried again myself and it is working.

The suitcases have been brought out, DW is even thinking of starting to pack. DW & DD had another round of "cruise shopping". I beginning to think they're personal friends with Mrs. Howell from Gilligan's island. How much clothing, etc do you need? It's only a 7 night cruise!

I mailed our Absentee Ballots. Of course I voted for the "Sparrow-Barbossa" ticket. At least they admit they're pirates! Their slogan is, "Take watcha can, give nothin' back". Honesty.

I have a tendency to way overpack!!! I am going to try to be better on this cruise and not bring so much stuff, but it is really hard for me.

I love the picture in your signature of the Sparrow-Barbossa ticket. GREAT slogan!
