November 1, 2008 "Election Day Castaways!"

Ok scrapbookers, after an odd, and somewhat embarrasing conversation at our local Walmart, I have to ask... How do you pronounce "Cricut"? Is it "cry-kut", "cricket" (like Jiminy) , or something else?

I didn't know how to do this B4 I got my Cricut! I pronounced it cri cut NOT like the BUG

PS: Just like Jiminy Cricket

wuv tigger,
Glad you found the magnetic paper, I saw the coupons in Sundays paper too, guess I will be making a stop at AC Moore and Michaels. The one good thing about the craft stores by us are that AC Moore and Michaels are right next door to each other in the Oxford Valley Mall, Levitown, Pa. Both usually carry a lot of Disney Scrapbooking STUFF.
Going to try and do my online cruise check in this week, and get it over with, as this is our first cruise, and the list of things to do, just keeps on getting longer, longer, longer.....Need to move of these things to the done list.

Muffin - you must live by Sesame Place....was a season pass holder until my kids were 4 and were at the Oxford Valley Mall frequently. My DH goes past there every day going from Jersey to Bala Cynwyd where he works....

We do live close to Sesame Place, do hold season passes, bought the
Bush Gardens passes, good at all the Parks, even Sea World, Bush Gardens, Sesame, etc. We have the younger Grandchildren and can go over to the park anytime. Sesame Place is small, but the children under 5 just love it....
Muffin07

loved it there too....just got too old for it. Maybe my grandchildren will like it there one day too....if I can still walk...I don't anticipate having any at least until my mid 60's...since I started so late....I have good friends that are grandmothers already.

I agree with you, Sesame is great for the little ones, but the childen do
out grow it fast. My son took our Granddaughter (age 3)over yesterday for the Halloween party and she did some trick or treating there. Now our other
Granddaughter is 7 and their is not much for her their anymore. We have
the new baby (2 months), so looks like we will be visiting Sesame Place
for a while yet.....My Dh works in South Jersey, and we live off of interstate 95 exit 2 in NJ, but raised in the Langhorne, Penndel, Pa area.

I think I've totally lost it. I spent today printing out magnets, and I have way too many!! And I haven't even gone through all the ones I want to print out! :scared1: I tell you, I'm obessed. But it's definitely keeping me busy and putting me in the cruising mood. :cutie: I just hope the stateroom door is big enough! :rotfl2:

Hopefully it'll keep me busy enough till I get my cruise paperwork in the mail. :rotfl: I ended up just buying a large packet of card stock paper, and I'll just tape magnets onto the back of them. I'm thinking about laminating them, but with how many I have, I'm afraid of the price tag for that! :scared1: I'm trying to have them for both my door and my parents door. :surfweb:

My Mom and I ended up getting our last bit of clothes for the cruise, so we're all set and my DH is definitely all set on clothes. I had to laugh, because my Dad is SO excited for this trip. He called me to find out what the restrictions on luggage are. Meaning, can he check 2 pieces of luggage and do they have to be under 50 lbs? As soon as he asked me that, I was like :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Seriously, how much can one man bring?? He's like a little kid and is getting so excited. I had already bought our MNSSHP tickets a while back, but I had told him that now they were sold out. He about flipped out and said "But we definitely have ours already, right?" :lmao:

For MNSSHP my DH is going as Sorcerer Mickey, my Mom is going as an Army guy, my Dad is going as Pinocchio, and I resorted to.... a pirate! pirate:

I did that this weekend too, ran them off on the Magnetic Paper. Made the
Mickey Ears for the door too, to go around the numbers on the doors.
Gave the printer a work out this weekend.

I just recieved a jury summons for State Grand Jury Duty, with a questionnaire to be sent back in 10 days. It doesn't list the date of service. It only says that I will receive notification of the date in a future mailing.
I hope it doesn't conflict with the cruise!!!:sad1: :sad1:
It does have a space to write in request for rescheduling, but I can't request anything because I don't know the date yet.

Go check your county/parrish website and see what happens if you can't be there ... hey being out of the country would be one good reason!

The last temperature was 101.7

HOPEFULLY they will both get something now & NOT ON 10/31/08!:scared1:

I got lots to do for the DCL and I won't be able to get any of them done today.

BUT, I do get to use my new favorite kitchen gadget ... the stick blender to make lemonade icees.

Here's hoping my dear elderly Mom doesn't get it or me as we both have Asthma.:wizard:

Get Well Wishes to all the kids and adults too, guess we will all be
eating plenty of home made Chicken Soup.

Hope you all stay well/get better soon!pixiedust: pixiedust: 3 of us have been sick one after the other for the past couple of weeks- better now than later, right? Last year in WDW on NJ week I was sick- what a DRAG!!! Still managed to have a good time, though!

Have fun making the lemon icees- how do you do it?

Put 1 - 2 cups of ice cubes in an old WDW popcorn bucket:

Put 1/2 - 1 cup of sugar

Add 1/2 - 1 cup of water

Add 1/2 - 1 cup of ReaLemon Lemon Juice

Use stick blender to crush the ice & mix all until it's a frozen smoothie.

BUT, the truth be told, I just dump, pour, blend & taste, then add ingredients until it tastes good.:rolleyes1

I have found when making icees w/ powdered mixes, ie; gatorade, lemonade or Kool Aid, you need more powdered mix than you think you will need.

She went back to bed at 7 am and is still sleeping. I am going to be pushing fluids as soon as she wakes up.

Hugs to ALL who got or are getting rid of a bug of some kind!:grouphug:

1. They took pix on the greet & meet day. Could we plan on doing that?

2. Another group took a pix on Pirate Night.

3. Another group took a pix on Formal Night.

I don't know if it is doable to get all 3 but it sure would be nice to get one on day 1 of the cruise.

What's everybody think of that??

Was also wondering if anyone who is going to the MNSSHP are wearing their bracelets to the park....just to see if you run into others???:rotfl: :rotfl:

I thought we were planning on taking a photo on the stairs outside of the promenade lounge on the first day- I really want a pic of our whole group, too!!

Thanks for the icee recipe- sounds like a GREAT thing for a sore throat and fever!!

And we will definitely be wearing our bracelets at MNSSHP!:thumbsup2 I'll probably put it on at home the day it arrives and keep it on for the next 2 months!!:rotfl:

It is one of the things that the kiddos will be getting in their new travel backpack.

I am getting so excited!

So, I gotta know:

HOW MANY DAYS BEFORE WE CRUISE?????:cloud9:
