November '08 ~ What Do You Mean It's Over? Should we plan another???

June 13th is 180 days when my vacation starts. If I want to be a uber grand dweeb and make my ressies then, can I make them for the whole week or do I have to call each day and schedule each day individually? Does that make sense?

If you are staying onsite you can make up to 10 days worth on your 180 day mark.

Sandy, since you are all knowing :worship: about these dinner ressies, I have a question! :)

Is the 180 day mark your CHECK IN date or your CHECK OUT date? We're DVC members and ressies there go by CHECK OUT date! :headache:

THANKS!! :goodvibes

ya'll are making me laugh....:rotfl:

How are the Ladies today?????

Jo

I am cold. Got over the pneumonia though. Coughing up your lungs for 4 days straight is not my ideal of fun. Then to add insult to injury both my daughters had ear infections.

But here I am. I beat it. Feels good.

You?

Well, it's freezing here. I am so glad you are finally feeling better!!!!

My kids have had a fever/sore throat/ cough thing-y, so they have been sick, but for the last two days they've cancelled school for the snow.:headache:

I posted pics on another thread. Let me go retrieve them... then Sandy can appreciate our snow...;)

Of the last 4 weeks, we are averaging 1 snow day a week. This is Michigan. We are used to this stuff!

Monday it was too cold to go to school. Who knew?

Here ya go. Probably not like Michigan!!! When we lived in Rochester NY I thought the snow was gonna suffocate me we had so much.

Are you anywhere near Benton Harbor? That's where my in-laws grew up. I've never been to Michigan. I guess I ned to go!
Welcome to JoBird's World!

That is a good question about ADRS!! We will be there during Thanksgiving week so obviously I need to make them as soon as possible as well. We will be staying in a timeshare for most of the first part of the week but in the pop for the last two days. So my question is does that count or do I still have to wait and call each day or should I wait till after the last day of the week for those days and call and make all of them at once. Does that make sense?

I was thinking of maybe even waiting till 180 days from Thanksgiving and calling for that day and back and then calling each day from then on if I needed to.

I need help! I have never had this problem cuz we always went in off season and we were never able to make them 180 days either. It used to be 90 days back when I went before. But I would always wait till 90 days from the LAST day of my trip and make ADRS from that day back if that makes sense.

HELP!!!

No, I am, look at your right hand. Thumb on the right side. Looking at your palm I am in the meaty part under your thumb.

Isn't that a hoot! 30 mins NE of Detroit.

I am not sure if I am in the right spot but we are currently planning our first trip ever to WDW. We plan on arriving on Sunday November 2,2008 and departing November 9, 2008. We are going to book our room at the Pop Century.
Because this is our first trip any tips would be helpful. The trip will include myself, DH and our two sons ages 9 & 7.
I am concerned that it not be warm enough to enjoy the pools and water parks.
I have also heard alot about Jersey Week and was wondering what it is.

Thanks,
Karen

Last time we went at the end of November it was near 80 degrees. It was definitely hot enough to swim, and the pools are heated ,too. I just got my "Unofficial guide " in the mail and I can't wait to start reading.

Oh sure...rub all that snow in my face Jo...LOL
Actually in 1994 we had a really bad ice storm and I remember on Valentine's Day that year DH (fiance then)was in the National Gurad so he was called out to help because our whole county was without power. So the National Guard was delivering food and heaters to the elderly, etc. Thankfully I had gas heat and so my in laws (they weren't my inlaws then) stayed the night with me the first night but were leaving to go out of town the next morning. So Dh slept at my house when he got to leave his guard station and we cooked using their camping stove. So we usually get ice instead of snow.

We are arriving the 1st and leaving the 8th. I am hoping its not going to be as bad as some say. We oriinally were going to be there Thanksgiving so I am glad our week changed...LOL

Oh, and I meant to say I looked at the weather for the past several years and it said the average highs were between 79 and 84. So I think with the heated pools it should be fine. We won't be going to any of the water parks, but do hope to get to swim some. We are staying at POR since there are 5 of us (Dh, Me, DS-13, DD-11, ans DS 7)
