Nov. question

I have been to WDW during Nov. and left on Thanksgiving day once and once we came in on Thanksgiving day and stayed till Dec.4th,but I need to know what it's like the week before Thanksgiving?Love it when all the Christmas things are up and I know Thanksgiving and after is busy,just wondering about the week before.Any help would be great.Also,has anyone gotten FD during the week before?Thanks

We were there last year the week before Thanksgiving. It was GREAT!! The lines were not long for anything, if there was even a line. The temp was in the 70s. And a lot of the xmas stuff was up. We went to the Very Merry Christmas Party, we saw the gingerbread house at the GF and almost every resort had a tree up at that time. (the contemporary was working on their stuff) We did also get free dining. I believe the week of Thanksgiving is when its not offered.

Most of our trips in November are the week before thanksgiving and I love it. Not very crowded, Christmas is up most everywhere & Great weather. This year we are shooting for the week after thanksgiving.

If we go that week before Thanksgiving, how do the crowds get entering the weekend of Thanksgiving. We are thinking of coming home the Sunday before, am I right in thinking the last few days will get pretty crowded.

There are quite a few things going on at WDW the beginning of November.

Jersey Week 4-10
Festival of the Masters 9-11
Wine & Dine Half Marathon 9&10
Last Weekend of F&WF 9-11
Veterans Day Weekend 9-12
Childrens Miracle Network Golf Classic 8-11

After Veterans Day (12) it will probably slow down a bit until the following weekend when the Thanksgiving crowd will be arriving.

Thank you. It is actually next November we are looking at. We can go for 10 days and miss both Veterans day and Thanksgiving, because Thanksgiving falls later than usual. We would arrive 3 days after Veterans Day and leave the Sunday before Thanksgiving. I think it will work fine, because if it gets crowded those last couple days, no biggy. We will already be there a week prior.
